Amazing Car!
This car is wonderful. I've driven the M5 and while it is probably more similar than different, I really prefer the E55. It feels much lighter in the handling department and the power, while probably close to the same feels much stronger with the E55.

The AMG...
great low-end power; good brakes; excellent luxury cruiser; plenty of space for 4-5 passengers; a bit heavy on turns (going 60+ mph :)); would purchase again!
Not too bad
While under the generous 4 year 50K mile warranty I had lots of problems including driver's side mirror falling off due to cheap metal. The rear door regulator, transmission leak, cup holder, power headrests (twice) motor, lug nuts rusted away, and battery. But since the warranty was over it has only been an H20 sensor and the Teleaid antenna broke off. The styling is timeless and the ride feels like in an electric car. The motor is smooth along with the ride. There are no child locks for the rear doors though. Uses synthetic oil that needs to be changed every 10,000 miles. It gets better the longer I seem to go. Expect about 18 city and 28 highway
Antiseptic
Wonderful car for hauling clients and family. Stability control intervenes on any fun. Acceleration which once was blazing is now considered merely above average with new offerings from MB, Audi, and Porsche, and of course rumors of the new BMW M5 and M3. Still one of the best values in luxury automobiles. Now if we can just put the supercharger from the '04 model on this one, it would have a power to weight ratio of a 911 turbo.
