Great Sport Sedan
I am impressed by the performance of this vehicle. The gas consumption was great also. Looks are definitely eye catching to many as I drove it on the streets and highways.
Nice Car
I have had my C230 for a year now with no trouble. The performance has been enhanced by the addition of a K&N air filter. This simple install has given me a little more low end power and much better gas mileage. I am getting 32 MPG very easily. For the money I do not know how you could do much better. Had an Audi A4 3.0Q and like the Benz much better.

Wouldn't Buy Another MB
I have had the C230K since 10/2004 and there have been problems non stop. Brakes squealing all the time, replaced twice. There is very ittle gas pedal room. Handles not even close to an Audi or BMW. Horrible traction in a little snow or rain. Loud engine noise. the only things great about this car are the gas mileage and style. Customer service is very poor and watch out for the salesmen on telling you that this car is fully covered. That standard option end in 2004. Now you have to pay for this bumper to bumper option. Things changed for the worse after the merger with Chrysler. Bottom line, last MB I will ever recommend or buy.
Buy Stock in a Tire Company
My 2005 MB c230 Kompressor so far has been a pretty big disappointment. It only has 16K on it and I've already had to buy three (3) sets of tires. It chews them up like cheap candy. The dealer has done 2 alignments already and multiple tire balances. The road noise is horrific after only a few thousand miles on each new set. The dealer has NOT been helpful. I try to drive as conservatively as possible but it still chews the tires up. I'm considering going back to a BMW. The MB is a nice car but I can't afford to keep buying tires like this. My dealer has been ZERO help. MB has not returned my calls or letters. Guess its time for an attorney. Buyer Beware.
Benz
I bought this car because it was the only stick shift they had on the lot. I have not been disappointed. The ride is excellent, and it is simply fun to drive. It gets incredible gas mileage (compared to the Trailblazer I traded). I am looking forward to purchasing one for my wife when it is time to trade her car.
I'm lovin it.
I've had mine for over a month and 4500 great miles. I have had zero problems. The dealership is great. Very little road noise, great mileage, and very good looks. Love the stereo and the seats. This is an awesome car. 13000 mile oil change interval!!
Great value for the money
Take the time to test drive one of these if you have not already. Don't be mislead by reading the reviews for the coupe variant of the C-Class; that coupe was an abortion of a vehicle and should've never been built. I know because I traded one in for this sedan. I decided to give MB one more shot and I'm glad that I did. The C- Class sport sedan is a stunning machine. The interior is finely crafted; the engine is smooth & responsive despite being supercharged. Road noise is very low, and if you get the entertainment package, prepared to be wowed by the audio. If you can't stomach the '06 pricing, look for one of these '05 beauties on the pre-owned lot - you will not be disappointed.
Stock price for AMG look!
It's my first MB. Previous car was a '96 BMW 328i. So my comparison is 2 top notch performers. After almost 6000 miles I have no complaints about MB.
Benz05
Everything runs excellent. Winter snow tires are the only problem I've encountered. The '05 model need a wider wheel for the front tires, for that reason, I added the spacer for the front wheel snow tires.
My first Benz
This is my first Benz and it sure won't be my last. I just returned from a trip out west and was very impressed at my fuel mileage of 35mpg running 80mph hwy. It was a joy to drive 10hrs straight in.
Wow car
I have no regrets in getting my '05 C240. I love everything about the car. Interior not only looks great, but is very confortable even on long trips. Only wish is the car should have 17" wheels instead of the 16" stock.
Saves me money in gasoline and repairs
40,000 miles in one year. 98% hi-way driving. Average 29.7 to 29.9MPG between oil changes
Love it !
This was a perfect fit for me. My kids are grown and have cars of there own so it was my turn for the car of my dreams. I could have spent a lot more but thought why bother? It is equipped with everything I need for a lot less money . If you are driving people around all the time the pricier car will might suit your needs but can't really see it for a 50's woman that just likes to travel alone! Germany makes the best cars in the world. Glad I own one !
My present ride
This car is most enjoyable. While there are some detractors, the flat four with supercharger is a nice plant. I have pushed 35 mpg on the highway at somewhere above 70 mph. The car shifts very smoothly and cleanly. A very nice car.
Fun To Drive
I compared this car to the BMW 3 series and found it to be a better all around car. I almost bought the 2006 model with v6 motor, but wanted the supercharged 4L with better gas mileage. This car is truly a fun car to drive. I know its not MB top of the line, but my car came with the H/K sound system, NAV,Xenon lights,Tel-Aid phone,Powered driver seat,17" chrome wheels etc. etc.. It's nice to know that I get the same extra amenities that the bigger (more expensive) upper models get, but at a fraction of the cost.
Will buy another one for my hubby!
This is the first MB I've owned. I've enjoyed every minute and every situation of driving this car. Now that the snow tires are put on, the MB winter driving proved much fun and saver than my other 'light-weight' car in the house!
Great used car!
Compared to a used 2004 2D BMW 325Ci 5- speed coupe with similar mileage and my previous 4D BMW 325i auto -- the MB wins hands down: more elegant and classy, while almost as sporty and peppy. Ride is smooth and quiet. Seats are very comfortable for a family of 4. Mileage is terrific considering performance. Put side-by-side, the MB is much more of a head-turner than the BMW. No regrets so far!
Our Mercedes
I sell cars for a living. Lincoln, Mercury and Volvo to be exact. I had some hesitation about buying a pre-owned Mercedes. This car is, without a doubt, the nicest sedan I have ever driven. The folks at M-B know how to design and build a sedan. The 2.6 ltr. provides more than adequate power while delivering excellent fuel economy.Handling and road manners are awesome! So far, no mechanical issues and we are planning on purchasing an extended warranty when the factory expires. They can be expensive when they break. We are now planning on purchasing a 2005 C-Class Wagon.
Great Ride
My first MB and certainly not my last. What a blast to drive. Fun is only a down shift away, blow by anyone on the highway no problem, gaps in traffic just seem to open up for you like moses and the red sea. Fuel economy is fantastic, 28mpg at 90 mph, 30mpg at 70, 32mpg at 60; can't beat that, its ridiculous. Watch out for cops tho, this is a dangerous car, can do 90 without even realizing it. The sound of the engine is music to my ears, I put the radio on mute (which sounds great as well) just to listen to it when accelerating.
I like this car
Love the mileage, 24 in the city, up to 35 on I-95 with performance. Mine is a 6 speed manual. Love to accelerate in 2nd gear. Stability is super and so is breaking. Would change it only for another C class.
Fun to own...driving is Fabulous !
I am not good with big cars, I found this C Class to be a perfect fit. Parking inside the garage as well as in parking lots is very convenient. Driving this Compressor is just a lot of fun ! It corners with zest. It does take off and comes up onto the highway very eagerly. Visiblity is very good for me. Even fuel efficiency is great since gas prices are dreary. Enjoy, get one.
Best car I've owned to date-no major problems
I owned this car between 2013 and 2017 from 56k to around 115k and absolutely loved it. The design is timeless and it always performed, even in the snow. The drive is extremely quiet and comfortable as you would expect from a Mercedes. As far as repairs go the only problems I ever encountered were interior parts breaking (door handle, buttons for auto windows) but I was able to DIY them easily since there is a lot of info available online. I (regrettably) got rid of it when I moved to NYC and sold the car to my brother (a former MB mechanic). It is still running strong.

I will never buy another German car!
The computer leads corroded and had debris shorting the signal. Many problems disappeared. Ultimately, I put in about $6k to keep it running. I probably should have gotten some other car.

Over Priced Junk
This vehicle is advertised and sold as a sports sedan. Not even close. This car can't get out of its own way. Very disappointed in the performance and build quality of this Mercedes-Benz. If you're looking for a true sports sedan, don't buy these vehicles. I will never purchase a Mercedes again. Overpriced junk. There is much better quality, performance and pricing in the market.
I want to trade.
I have owned my new Mercedes-Benz now for 6 months and I can't wait to trade it. I wanted to trade it the first week after I purchased it but I was encouraged to drive it more because I "was just probably not accustomed to driving a German-engineered car." I developed calluses on my hands because the steering is so tight. The longer I keep the car the smaller the interior seems to get. I don't get the benefit of the instrumentation technology and upgraded sound system because it is too complicated for me to use. Everything stains the upgraded leather interior. I have already had the seating re-dyed. I hope this has been my first and last poor car purchase decision.
C320 4 matic a Sweetie...
Traded in my CLK320 for this small sedan with 4matic...Couldn't drive the CLK in inclement weather..Well! I love this little car! Fun to drive, great performance, love the navigation and integrated phone, multicontour seat, all user friendly...
Granite Gray 230K
Truly a phenomenal vehicle. The dealer really tried to sell me on the automatic 230K on the lot, so glad I got the 6 speed manual. Not only is the manual smooth, you are able to use that supercharged 4 cyl. to its fullest potential. The rear quarters are a little cramped, however I bought this car to drive not to ride in. My son has enough room for his car seat and other misc. items in the rear and myself and the wife are quite comfortable up front. I traded in my 03 Navigator so I knew going in I was losing space, but definitely saving at the pump. Overall I highly recommend this car!
second time is even better
had a 2001 c240 but with awd this makes the car even better.
