A very cute and aggressive looking car, with MB AMG appreance. Interior is a little bit tight inside, but it's a small car. So far so good with out any problems. Gas mileage is about 22mpg.

I test drove the BMW 3 series, Lexus IS300, and the Acura TL and none could compare to the overall package. This car has the right balance of luxury and sport. The car drives like a dream and the new 2005 updates make the car flawless. The 189 hp drives like a 6 cylinder and the car gives you awesome gas mileage. This car was well worth the wait, I had to order my car so it took me almost 3 months to get my baby. The Mercedes feel and quality is by far unmatched. Even driving at 130 mph the car is so silent and smooth. The brakes are awesome other than the frequent brake dust, but the rims are so easy to clean.

My car is so much fun to drive. This is my fourth MB, no other car I've had has matched the performance of a MB. Comfortable, on long trips no more backaches. Reliability and dealer service has been great in the past. Stability and control excellent. Had an incident on I20 to come face to face with a deer. The deer and my husband missed each by mere inches, after a swere to miss the deer the car straightened out and we preceding on. Lucky for the deer and us that we were driving a MB! I am certain.

Just traded in a Cadillac CTS-V for a 2005 M-B C230 KOMPRESSOR black-on-black sedan with a navigation system. Not a very powerful vehicle, especially having just had 400 hp under the hood of the Cadillac. Nevertheless, much more fun to drive, in that the seats are more supportive and one feels much more in-tune with the car, rather than just a passenger. The vehicle gets great gas mileage, has sufficient pep from the supercharged 4-cylinder engine and is a pleasure to drive. The navigation system is very user friendly, although could use a graphics improvement. I have no regrets investing in this vehicle. In fact, my girlfriend purchased the same vehicle (but red-on-black); she loves it!

We purchased our C230 this past August, and does this car ever turn heads! People often mistake it for a $65 - $70K car. The MB personnel at the dealership, from sales to service, were/are 100% pleasant and professional!

Ive had my 05 C230 Sport Sedan for about 2 months now and I can't tell you how impressed I am with her. She is sexy, sleek and women love the car! I have about 3k on the car, and it hasn't given me a single problem to complain about. Gas mileage is great, especially because I'm a student. The car handles amazing. My brother just got a 2005 Honda S2000 for about the same price as mine, and its not nearly as pratical and 20 times sportier, but the C230 is just as fun to drive. It's the best entry level luxury/sport sedan for me. I got a better price on her then the 325 or the a4, plus everyother person out there has a BMW or Audi. For 30g's my money is more than well spent.

My husband and I have owned 8 mercedes. Mostly E-Class and one 240 Diesel.I researched, drove and compared this C-230 Kompressor with the Acura TL, BMW 3, BMW 5, Lexus 330 and 300 LS and GS. The C-230 has it all. Safety, handling, quality construction MB known for and that style that one is still pleased to drive and still attracts attention 10 years later. Exhilarating driving experience. The BMW3 handles the same, the Lexus and Acura don't come close. BMW3 poor left door safety rating on side impact studies. Comparing paint finishes--just check out two or more year olds from Acura, BMW, Lexus.... no comparison to MB.

This is my 4th Mercedes Benz and I think my favorite. It replaced a Mini Cooper S that while fun to drive, spent more time in the dealer's garage than in mine. The MB is just as fun to drive and gives the same fuel economy - with all the benefits of the three point star:(safety, solid chassis and cashe). My wife's already talking of trading her suv in for another C230 Sport Sedan. I even think the price is within reason for the features that come with the car. Look for 2005 models still on the lot - my dealer discounted over $3,000 to move the car. Can't beat that!

THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM SETS OFF THE ALUMINUM IN THE INTERIOR JUST RIGHT. THE INTEGRATED PHONE IS GREAT ON ROAD TRIPS, OR JUST WHEN YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION. THE BI-XENON LIGHTS WERE WELL WORTH THE MONEY. 10 OUT OF 10

In August 2004 I got a 2005 230 Kompressor after last having a MB 11 years ago (300E)--wow have they gotten fun. It's red, fast and really fun. Interior is well done. Exterior is as sporty as anything on the road. Technology is first class. But it's got warranty issues: console lid broke, paint is chipping and the CD player just ate my AC/DC CD! Dealership has been good though. For a guy in his 50's, I can't imagine anything I'd rather have for my daily driver.

I took delivery at the plant in Sttutgart , receiving the royal treatment there, including a full tank of gas. Took off for Berlin inmediately in the Autobahn. Got it in the States for Christmas. Performance is beyond my expectations, handling , braking and high speed acceleration are superb and so is confort. Front seats can be stretched to form a bed for a quick nap in rest areas. Very thrifty on gas specially in the 60 miles range.

This car is awesome! The handling is superb. The Kompressor engine makes the four cylinder engine feel like six. The interior design is very attractive and the exterior design is an attention grabber. This is the first Mercedes I have owned and it won't be the last. The sound system is impressive and Mercedes uses high quality materials in its interior. Don't miss an opportunity to test drive this car. You'll find that you are getting a lot of bang for your buck.

I remember seeing an advertisment for a C230 about a year ago saying "Remember how much you loved your first car? Imagin how much you will love your first Mercedes". This car is not only my first car (at 17), but also my first Mercedes. I guess it is for this reason that I am a little bias with my rating. However, this car truly is a wonderful car full of great acceleration and amazing interior comfort, not to mention a great sound system.

First time I have ever owned MB. Had 3 BMW's and an Infiniti G35. BMW's now run on Microsoft Windows. If you want a car that can crash before you leave your driveway, BMW's for you. Get an eMachine instead. I much prefer German cars over Japanese. I love driving this car. It is very stylish and comfortable. The fuel economy is pretty good. Looking forward to MB sending the diesel version of this car to the US. This car is very well put together and has great attention to detail.

The car is "zippy." It feels very nimble on the road and around corners, especially in parking lots with its wheels-turn-in directional steering. I used to have an Infiniti G35 Sedan and it always felt cubersome driving around town. The Mercedes is fun in terms of acceleration because it gives you the boost with sound without immediately taking you over the speed limit. Great for someone who commutes through 40 mph zones 90% of the time.

I eagerly awaited the arrival of this car as I made my selection while it was on the ship. I have not been disappointed. It handles well, has superb performance, and gets 29.5/30 mpg on the highway. I love the way it drives, the way it looks, and the compliments I receive from friends. The longest trip I have taken was over 7 hours on some rough back roads and it was a comfortable trip. The workmanship is excellent, with not one problem to report after 8,000 miles. It is one of the best car buying decisions I have made in my 47 years of buying cars.

I can't complain much about the performance of this entry-level-luxury Benz. Though it has a weak V6(168hp), it's still FUN to drive. At 3,070 miles today, I'm taking my car to the dealer because of the SRS MULFUNCTION and a stereo system sound problem - sound was distorted last week, both radio & CD. Yesterday, there was no sound coming out at all -and i got the "entertainment package". But it's the SRS problem I'm worried about. It's a safety issue, and I still have to drive all the way to the dealer (without aibags and safety measure devices)

I kept going back to the MB dealership to stare at it. Almost bought the 2006 BMW 3, which is frankly a better car. But the 230k just looked so great in Mars red, I couldn't resist. And while it has been the head- turner I thought it would be, ther are some issues. The paint chips very easily. The trunk lid has a wide gap and looks not fully closed at all times. The cruise control fob is badly located, and I keep trying to use it as for directional signal. The radio difficult to read in sunlight. The powerseats are sub standard. It already needs to have some work done on window insulation. It's slightly underpowered. All that being said, I'd buy it again. Sexy outside, sleek inside and a relatively good value.

I looked at the BMW 325,Acura TL and Volvo S60 2.4T/R models before choosing the Mercedes. I've never regretted it. I've been driving quite a bit in the past month and it is so fun to drive and comfortable on the driver. I used to own a BMW but I'm not sure if I'll go back. I'm waiting to see if the Mercedes has the long term quality that I would expect.

The new 2005 MB C230 Sedan is not only fun and comfy to drive but also delivers nods and gazes of recognition and admiration. Hence it is not easy to summarize one's experience since the latter qualities are hard to measure and quantify. The sporty trim and structure makes the ride and handling a little more stiff and noisy, but one has to accept these because it is a SPORT sedan, not a regular sedan.

I wanted a classic black MB that I could keep for a long time. This truly is one. I love the iconic look (double round headlights)of the car like a classic MB. The car is incredibly smooth and fun to drive. I took it in for service and was given a new 08 C300 to drive. It feels/looks like a Chrysler 300 on the inside...cheap cheap cheap. What was MB thinking. I couldn't be happier in my 3 year old MB which feels like a real MB compared to the new ones.

Had a 2005 C230 Kompressor with a total of 7 uncheduled visits to the Service department, 4 of them related to a problem with the check engine light and loss of engine power. The vehicle had around 7000 miles when problems started and this week had to trade in with 10000 miles. I traded for another Mercedes Benz 2006 C280. Even when I had lost of problems with the C230k , I loved this car and would not hesitate to have it back. I think I just had a bad one from a bunch.

I drove the BMW 325i, Lexus IS300, Saab 9-3 Arc, & Acura TSX, before buying the C230K. BMW was great at everything, but adding 17" wheels and sport pkg made it more than the MB, which came standard with 17" wheels & sport susp. Also, could get lthr-faced seats w/o high- cost lthr pkg. Added sunroof pkg which gets you the cool power rear sunshade and rain-sensing wipers. Lexus had smaller backseats and trunk, Saab had low resale value & turbo lag & fr wh drive. TSX is value leader, but fr wh drive hurt handling & interior too much like an Accord (which it is). C230 is very quick, point-&-shoot handling, AWESOME exterior styling w/AMG trim, incredible stopping power, fabulous gas mileage-32hwy!

So I just turned 40 and needed a new car. With a new daughter (first child) I needed four doors and safety, as well as a little fun for Daddy. My first thought and test drive was an Acura TL. Mighty fine car, but just a little more biased towards performance handling and the incumbent stiff ride than I or the western PA roads would tolerate. My wife wanted a MB, but my price range and minimum performance requirements didn't seem to meet on paper. Well, you can only learn so much about a car on paper. A trip to the dealer on December 31st definitely helped. With just a little space left here, let me say that buyer's remorse will not be a problem here! Quiet, with a bank vault feel.

I drove the BMW 3 series, Acura TL, Lexus IS300, Volvo S60 but none compare to the 2005 C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan. I really thought I wanted a BMW, but the dealer was awful and the car was plain with no options. The Mercedes dealer was WONDERFUL and the 2005 C-class is beautiful and feels much more expensive than it is (vs the BMW that feels cheap). My wife immediately said "this is the one" when we went on the test drive. The console lid was broken on delivery but the dealer offered to come to my house the next day to fix it. I'll be a Mercedes driver for life!

Go buy it! I test drove the BMW 325i and found the C-Class better looking inside and out. Plus I think it has more leg room. I've put over 1,300 miles and I'm really enjoying it. Get the Entertainment Package, love the Harman/Kardon sound system. I'm surprised by the power of the little supercharged 4-banger. I just got out of a 2001 Volvo S60 2.4t, it's smaller inside then the Volvo but I'm having fun!!! The ride is better and quieter. So far I'm really enjoying the car.

I finally found a vehicle that I felt good about. Great price, great fuel economy and very good customer service. I purchased a demo here in ATL in May and find myself liking the car more and more everytime I drive it. I'm coming from an SUV that avg'd at most 20 mpg. My C230 hit an avg high of 33.5 mpg a couple of weeks ago. I went a full two weeks without fueling! The AMG design is classic and the car is roomy enough to take friends to dinner. I never thought that I would own a Benz and plan on keeping this one as long as I can.

The truth be know everyone knows me as Mr. Frugal. I have to say that my Mercedes-Benz C230 Sport Sedan is one of the best non-investment purchases that I have ever made. Besides the heads that turn every time I pass anyone, this vehicle is a real treat to own. It has good low-end torque, its braking is exellent, it handles nice, and gets great gas milage. Let's face it, when it comes to performance the Germans are tops. This car should be on you must test drive list. The only complaint I have, is that I'm 6'1 and I could use a little more leg room, but other that that it's perfect...and it fit into Mr. Frugal's budget. This is a great car.

I traded in my '03 G35 for this little gem. Not as fast as the G35, but a wonderful, solid feel. Extremely well made, great handling, and MUCH better gas mileage. I'm much less likely to get speeding tickets, yet I'm really enjoying driving this exceptional car. The "Tiptronic" manual shifting is much better, quicker, than in the G35.
