Great Car for Price
Feels very substantial for a small car. Very reliable. Fun to drive -- great pick-up in the higher rpm range above 40 mph.
Nothing to Complain About
With over 167,000 miles on my 2004 and synthetic Mobil 1 oil since the beginning my car is my second home and more reliable than most of my so called friends. Commuting, traveling, or just cruising is a delight in my C230 nicknamed "Jett" (supercharger). My first Mercedes when I turned 40 and will not be my last. Would love to get the 4-door version in the future. Buy it you won't be disappointed, if you take care of it.
C 230
The MB C230 is extreamly fun to drive and an absolute pleasure to own. Numerouse safty and comfort features reasure the driver and give it a smooth ride usually associated with larger cars, coupled with the agility of a small sports coupe.
Hummer of a car
This is a"second" car ...just presonal transportation around town. I always liked the flexibility of a hatchback.Considering that this is the least expensive Mercedes it doesn't lack for features or quality. The need for premium gas is offset by rather decent mileage. And ...its a lot of fun to drive !
A fun drive between costly repairs.
The 1.8l Kompressor is impressive but overshadowed by a much worse than average reliability rating. Oil leaks, coolant leaks, oil in the water (blown head gaskets), warped aluminum heads are among the many nightmares of a bank depleting partnership with this 2004 gem.
