Used 2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan Consumer Reviews
DC - 2002 C240 Review
Great car to drive/own. Just bought new E500. Nothing like a Benz, nothing. At 5.5 years old, still feels tighter, newer than our 1 year old Maxima.
2002 C240
This car is fun to drive when you want to be sporty but can be a luxury car at the same time. Roomy enough to fit my entire family but small enough to feel sporty.

Love it "of course"
I absolutely love my 240,the way it handles, and the comfort of course I never have to sit in the back seat but for the dollar spent and the reliability you cannot beat this car and hwy mileage best yet 28.9 mpg and that is not doing 55.
Consider Before Buying
After 5k car had no power & stalling. Dealer said heads needed to be replaced(2 weeks later had car back). Told to add Tectron every 2k to reduce reoccurance as it could happen again. On way home dash lit up & indicated car needed service immediately. Returned car-found problem was result of damaged part due to replacing heads. Also passenger door lock refused to opperate. It gets better. Dealer told me to add Tectron when car was almost empty then get gas. When I went to fill up, the gas cap cover refused to open. Couldn't go further & had to wait 4 hrs for service van. There is just no confidence left with the auto. Expect to trade in for a new Lexus.
Disappointed
I got my 2001 in February of last year. For the first 10K miles, the car drive like a dream, but after the 10K mark things started to happen.-Rear Sun Shade motor replaced-Vibration at speed 40 mph when parked over 5 hours ibration disappears about 15/20 minutes drive)-Uneven wear (wavy) on the outside treads-CD/Radio on/off intermittent (Fiber Cable replaced) -Purge Valve replaced-AC acting up-hot air out of vent -Whine in low speed (0-20 mph)
