my C230
THE C230 Kompressor is a true Mercedes in every way and form from its soild ride & looks & performance makes it one fun car to drive.
Built like a rock...
Everthing is solid. Doors close solid. Ride is tight and solid. Even the rear view mirror is solid. Great build quality! Only problems are with electricals. AC quit, so it went to dealer for repair. Three times. They did everything under the sun to repair. Recharge, replace, test, re-test. Finally, it came down to the dash mounted AC on/off switch. Gas gauge also goes wacky now and again, shows empty. Restart the car and it has corrected itself so far.

C230 - Solid Car
Nice car. Love the classic style lines in an age when most cars look alike.
dissapointed
Bought two year old car in May 2002 with 8000 miles on it for 31000 dollars so it was no bargain especially since I have had it back to the dealers three times in one year. I have persistent problems with the transmission. The car jerks when I accelerate from a light or stop when it is moving in to first gear and the dealer hasn't managed to fix it yet. Now I know why the previous owner gave it back after only driving it for 8000 miles! Drives very well once it gets to third gear and on highways but for the most part I am not enjoying it. My next car will be a BMW or a Lexus.
Disappointed
Bought my first MB C230K little over a year ago, and I am unimpressed. I think I'll buy a Lexus in 2 years when I anticipate buying again. There's nothing big, but a bunch of little stuff wrong .. the LCD display stopped working 6 months ago, the middle storage compartment never opens as it should, the front driver's door doesn't close properly even tho' it's been repaired twice, the glovebox won't stay closed. The brakes, even new, squeal.
