Vehicle1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata 2dr Convertible
ReviewI've owned a couple of Miatas and I've always loved the concept: small, RWD, lightweight, convertible with a nice stiff suspension. My 90 is the A-package which has the alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a cassette player that was quickly replaced for an Alpine cd player. (To get teh power hoo-has and cruise, you have to get the B-package). At 140,000 miles, (16,000 of which I've put on the car) the car has aged well. Nothing has "broken down" and the maintainence that I've performed (oil changes, tire rotations, synthetic fluid changes, shock replacements, etc.) has been very easy. The aftermarket support for the Miata is vast, making it easy to modify.
Best FeaturesEasy soft top function, easy to work on, cheap to own and insure. Easily the most fun-for-your-buck out there.
Worst Features15" wheels instead of the 14's. My red and black two-tone interior I'm installing is going to look "improved" for sure!
