2025 Mazda CX-5 Consumer Reviews
Pricing
Loved it so much bought a second one.
After selling our 16 Porsche Macan S which we loved, but hated the high cost of ownership I purchased a certified 21 CX-5 Grand Touring. Fast forward eight months & bought a new 25 CX-5 Preferred Plus for my wife. Prior to the Macan I had an 03 Protege 5 I drove for 13 years which I loved & had always admired the CX’s. Only wish they had a manual option, but appears those days are unfortunately long gone. Now back in the fold I could not be happier & would recommend this economical, reliable, sporty handling Mazda to just about anyone.

Hard to handle at higher speeds, bogs dowm
The CX5 is a great little car for in the city. No huge blind spots. Backup camera. However on the highway it takes forever to rich top legal speed. It’s also noisy and labors going up hills. For some reason the blind spot sensors stopped working,

Putting my old beloved CRV to rest
After driving a 2025 SUV my workhorse 2015 SUV seems like it needs to be put out to pasture on the dealership’s value lot. The Mazda CX5 rocks. So smooth, handles so well, and just enough pep from the basic engine. Due to my age (old boomer here) this may be my final car purchase and it sure will be fun to drive it. Wanted a vehicle made in Japan as well. Car was produced in Jan and had 2 mi on it. That’s the ticket.

Quick, Quiet and Nimble
The CX5 delivers as per the title. Plenty of HP and I fill it with 94. I like the extra HP. There is no Turbo lag .Conversations with rear passengers at highway speed is easy. This SUV is very quiet. Finally, Edmunds nailed it with the handling. Smooth ride, agile cornering and flat out fun to drive. Excellent AWD system that feel safe with all weather tires on summer and winter . The interior puts pricier luxury models to shame. Excellent fit and finish. The Signature is more expensive than its competitors, but I can drive next to high end SUVs itwith pride and satisfaction.

Nice Ride
Purchased 2025 Mazda CX 5 Preferred 2.5. It drives and responds great. In a car that I look for handling is most important to me and the Mazda handles really nice. I understand the ride quality and the seats could be approved BUT at the end of the day if I need my car to handle in a situation then I have no worries. The AWD is nice and I currently am coming upon 5000 miles and no issues. I previously had a 2024 Mazda CX 5 Preferred 2.5 and I had 18.600 miles on it when I traded it in on the 2025. I traded because of Mazda's 2.9% incentive. My 2024 was nice and so is the 2025. It rides well enough for me and I get 28 mpg and the engine does nicely. My real gripe is that the 2nd row leg room is so cramped BUT other than that I am all smiles
