The crossover vehicle to own!
Although I've only had my 2016 CX-5 a week now it's been a joy to drive. The 2.5L engine is quite peppy and the car handles great. It's definitely the more stylish compact SUV out on the road today. I got the basic model w/o the backup camera or NAV. I plan on updating the audio system later on so I don't have any gripes about the stock system, it functions fine for what it is. I just need a little more power and bass. The seats are firm and supportive but I cannot write about comfort on long drives since I haven't taken one so far. I think for the money it's a great value. 17" alloy wheels, Bluetooth, and great styling. It's a win-win in my opinion.

Very Happy
2016 Mazda CX-5 GT (meteor gray) I’ve owned since new. 70,000 miles currently. No repairs needed, just oil and filter changes. It’s been very reliable. Car drives very well, excellent chassis and steering feel. It can be entertaining on twisty roads in sport mode. Engine could use more power, but it’s enough to do what it has to. I’m happy it has a conventional 6-speed automatic and not a CVT. MPG is around 28 on the highway/freeway, I don’t do much city driving. It does well in the snow, especially with snow tires. Bose sound system is OK, door panels rattle with high bass. Looks better than it’s competitors inside and out. Interior has an upscale feel and has held up perfectly. Front seats are comfortable, back seats are a little tight. Infotainment system is user friendly and I like the placement of the volume and control knob by the shifter. Interior noise on the highway is acceptable, could be quieter. Tires are expensive. Windshield cracks easily (I am on my third one, and do not drive on gravel often). Overall I am very happy with my Mazda CX-5. It seems to be holding it’s value relatively well.

4 Years in a FWD GT
Very few recalls, great overall operational performance. Mostly around town driving in Louisville, KY with a few road trips to WI, IL, IN and Tn mixed in. My '16 is a bit quieter then the '14 AWD CX-5 I had before. I wish the front passenger seat was 6-way or a option. After 20K miles I don't have any complaints about the quality of comfort of the vehicle for the money I paid for it. I compared 4-5 other brand SUV's before choosing the CX-5. Another reason I chose the Mazda was the really good performance I had with my 2000 Mazda Protoge. after 14 years and 249K miles it still was getting 36-38 mpg. I sold it to my son who drove it another 2 years before wrecking it. The Bose sound system is plenty good in my opinion, I never/seldom turn it up past 30 anyway and usually run it at 20-25. You will be hard pressed to find a better vehicle for the money with the same utility and usability. Curtis and several others have bolt-on trailer hitches for the 2K towing cap of this SUV.

Quaiity vehicle
I am now 68 years old and have owned 10+ vehicles since I was 16 years old. I love cars, but hate squeaks and rattles. I have always wanted a vehicle that was totally solid with not squeaks or rattles. With the 2018 Mazda CX5, I finally found that vehicle. I have just under 10,000 miles on this vehicle and I have yet to hear one squeak or rattle. I wish I had owned a Mazda before now. This is a totally quality vehicle!

Best value for small SUV
Mazda did an excellent job updating this vehicle from 2015. I agree with the positive consensus of professional reviews on acceleration, road handling, comfort, and safety. I am truly impressed with the performance from this 4 cylinder engine. The navigation system is from a new supplier compared to the 2015 and some bugs still need to be worked out. It requires too many steps to access some basic functions. Also, the navigation screen is occupied with non-essential info like closest gas station, that I cannot turn off. The safety features are an option but a great value. The two tone leather interior looks great, very "up class" for this segment. I'm glad a purchased this vehicle!

Great little SUV. Ride a bit on the stiff side.
Make sure to drive this SUV over bumpy roads to see if you can handle the ride. My wife drove it on freeway but not on rough road prior to buying car........she has a hard time riding/driving car. Front (cloth) seats could be more comfortable. Don't finance through dealer unless you want them to 'play games' with interest rates. Take the rebates and get your own financing. Bought from Bommarito Mazda South, St. Louis. Have credit score of 850. Finance manager first offered me rate of 3.5% for 60 months. When I told him I could do better at a local Credit Union, he offered me 2.59% for 63 months with the same bank. Didn't feel good. Probably has to do with 'hidden finance charges' which are commonly known as 'dealer reserve'. I believe this puts extra $ in the pocket of the finance guy. I don't have a problem with someone making $ but .....whatever happened to full disclosure?

Mazda Excellant CX-5
I have owned Audi's, Infiniti's and Toyotas as well and needed a vehicle for work. I performed quite a bit of research and the Mazda always stood out with excellent ratings. I had not even considered the Mazda but decided to take a good look. The value is amazing with all the options, safety features and fully loaded the vehicle was around $34,000. With the same options on a Lexus or Infiniti the cost was over $15,000 more. This vehicle is fun to drive, gets good gas mileage with regular 87 octane fuel, has automatic hi beam head lights that are the best I have had, automatic braking, automatic cruise control and is a great vehicle. I only have around 1,200 miles and a combination of city and highway. My neighbor has the same vehicle and loves it as well. The Mazda dealer also provides free oil changes, inspections and 15 car washes a year, plus a lifetime engine warranty. I am very pleased with Mazda. Update: Vehicle has $50,500 miles on it and have had no problems at all. Vehicle is like a tank in the snow as well with an excellent AWD system. As far as value goes there is no comparison with any other vehicle. Vehicle is sporty, handles well, zero wind noise on highway, no rattles or squeaks. Very pleased.

Luxury Feel without the pricetag
After a lot a research and test drives, this was the vehicle for me. The car came with a lot of great features like AWD, Rear View Camera, Blind Spot Monitoring, and many more. The gas mileage is great while driving. The sport driving option is pretty powerful. The car handles well with turning, which can be a concern for some. There is plenty of room for all and lots of leg and head room. There are plenty of Pros with the vehicle. After some time of driving, I noticed a few cons and they are only minor. I felt that the seats themselves are pretty firm, but they are still comfortable. The other thing i did notice, was the drive feel was also firm. Aside from the two minor Cons, I love the vechile

Best yet SUV
At 80K miles it's getting time to trade in. This has been one the most comfortable, fun to drive, practical vehicles I've ever owned. Great value as a used car if you're shopping. You will not be disappointed.
