2019 Mazda CX-3 SUV Touring 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl 6A)

Review

The Mazda CX-3 handles better than any other car in its class. I test drove five other vehicles including the Mini, and the Mazda was easily the most fun to drive. My fuel economy to date has been excellent, better than expected. Seat comfort is very important to me for long trips, and once again the CX-3 provides very supportive and comfy seats that come very close to my old Volvo. Love this compact SUV and the high end feel inside and out.

The suspension is so firm that the ride is not comfortable when going over bumps on the road.

If your main gripes about the cx3 is no tinted windows and no remote trunk release, then you really don’t derserve to be driving a Mazda. The 2019 cx3 is without a doubt the best in the subcompact class for looks, drivability and handling, nothing comes close for the price. My only gripe is no Apple car play, which is an inexcusable omission by Mazda, but is said to be available at a later date though, so all is good. Highly recommended the 2019 Mazda CX-3 Sport AWD w/i-activsense pkg!

Review

This car, as sleek and full of gadgets may look, is lacking some very basic features; 1. Remote trunk release, either from the inside, or key fob, IT IS NOT AVAILABLE. Therefore, while unloading your shopping cart in the winter, first you need to take off your mittens/gloves, then make sure you find and push the "open" tab tucked under the edge of the tailgate. Most likely you will first hit the rear camera located in the same spot. Good luck! This is inconceivable for a $28000 car . Thinking at competition offering foot activated trunk release for much le$$. 2. Side and rear visibility y is very poor because of the very angular and thick A,B,C,D pillars. 3. Car is considered a small SUV...but has no tinted windows. There are no other small SUV's in its class without tinted windows.

This car, although a CUV, has no tinted windows and no remote trunk release of any kind (just manual opening from the outside).
These are very cheap cost cutting measures. Even the $6000 cheaper Chevy Trax has tinted windows…
Instead of alerting me every time the car in front is less than 20 feet away, I would rather have the A/C NOT running all the time in the hot summer days, because the lack of tinted windows will turn the all black interior into an oven.
And in the cold winter days, I would prefer to click on the remote fob for releasing the trunk to unload my shopping cart, rather than finding the MANUAL open button ,tucked under the tailgate, to pop. But first, take your gloves off so you can find it. Again, Trax has the trunk release button on the remote fob, for $6K less.
Interior is also very cramped and claustrophobic after a while, because of the thick and very angular pillars. Rear visibility is dangerously near 0.
Very disappointed.
Don’t be fooled by the sexy appeal of this “so called” CUV. It will vanish the minute you’re inside cranking AC to the MAX in the summer, or in the winter, figuring how to open the sexy tailgate with bare hands 
