Used 2005 Mazda 6 Wagon Consumer Reviews
Boxter to wagon
Selling my Boxter was a very hard thing to do, but, I needed more room for my business. I hate SUV's and still wanted a sporty fast car. A wagon was the obvious choice. I drove them all. The only other car I considered was an Audi, but the A4 was too small and the A6 too much money and impossible to find without an automatic. The "Six" has a great smooth 5 speed, a strong v6 and comfortable interior. Mine is fully loaded and a great value for $28K! I love the cargo cover and standard pull-up cargo (dog) screen. The center console is also great, tons of storage and looks great at night. Kudos to Mazda for leaving out the "fake wood" and designing a classy original dash.
Great Wagon with Sports Car Feel
I traded my '02 Passat for the wagon ... that lets my wife drive a sedan rather than her Volvo wagon. I was impressed with the interior design/colors and the exterior color (I have the Firemist red with tan interior ... looks very sharp and I've gotten a number of favorable comments). I've liked the responsiveness of the engine and the manual transmission is very nice. We've taken two longer road trips (one at 2200 miles and the other at 1200 miles) -- it's a very comfortable highway car. The Sirius radio option is a delight on highway cruises as well. Around town, it gets decent mileage and handles well. I'm pleased with the purchase & the end-of-year discounts!

The Soul of a Miata
It's not often that you can truly haul when hauling stuff. The Mazda6 Sport Wagon handles all situations well. It's quick to respond to driver inputs. And never loses it's cool even if the driver is over his head. The controls are all in easy reach, and logical to use. Mazda hasn't made driving a "chore" but a pleasure. Fit and finish have held up in the Arizona heat, and the automatic climate control is spot on.
Great Car For The Money
I traded in my 02 Altima for the sport wagon. They gave me a great price on the trade. My sport wagon has all the toys. What a great car to drive for the money. The build quality is excellent, handling is above a 10. The car is quiet and road noise is minimal. The Bose sound system is great. 200 power amp is more than enough for this old hot rodder of 58. I will not spend more that 30 grand for a car. Im not into status, so I dont need a BMW or a Benz. This wagon has it all. He is a bad boy and will be with me for many years to come go buy the car. You wont be sorry.
Our 2nd 6
This is our 2nd Mazda6 purchase in 9 months. We purchased a Mazda6 hatch last March (see 5-doors of fun review). The wagon is everything that our hatch is and more. The wagon handles the same, accelerates the same and brakes the same, with a little extra room. At 6'5" tall, the ride is comfortable, there is room for our 2 German Shepherds and two sets of golf clubs and for both of our golf storage accessories. I added the Mazdaspeed 18' wheels and tires for an even sportier look and better handling. By far this is the best looking and handling wagon, on the road today for the money!
