2.7 twin turbo engine is great, excellent fuel economy for this super powerful engine. Interior is beautiful and extremely comfortable (love massaging front seats) and all options are very helpful and easy to use, etc. Look at some previous bad reviews written by strange people (which replacing steering pump, since 2016 steering has electric assist and pump not exist) and Lincoln dealerships rated at the top of the list for customer satisfaction and service in the country. Now I have 23000 miles and enjoyed every minute of driving. 360 degree cameras, cross traffic warning, line control, adaptive cruise control, huge variety of vehicle and driver assist information, etc. are awesome. Couple of things bowsers me, as an example: seat memory always come back to primary setting and I have to resume my setting every time I am getting in the car (primary setting definitely belongs to my wife) and foot operation of rear hatch can't be disable and couple of times I bump my head as hatch started to close unexpectedly (probably due to movement of my foot under bumper), but it isn't important and can be managed, otherwise this is probably best car I ever had to drive and as test engineer I droved practically almost every car in the world. One more warning: HANKOOK tires are garbage had to replace them at 20000 miles and Hankook doesn't provide any warranty after one year of usage, so replace them as soon as possible or don't buy vehicle with Hankook tires in the first place not to get in trouble on the road. 35K miles now, enjoying every minute in the car, have no complains, nothing wrong with the car, just changing oil and go again. Couple recalls, but probably not affected my car as I don't have letter to go to dealer and perform update.

Power steering failed

I had never heard of a power steering gear until mine broke. Such a major disappointment to have to pay $3,000 for something that should never fail. Poor quality and poor service.

This 2018 MKX Reserve I bought used used with less than 20K miles is the 2nd I've had. The first was a 2016 MKX and while some things remain great others are still the worst quality dollar store style. Shame on Ford Lincoln for doing this to a $45K vehicle. The air bags all around are a great feature. We also have the upgraded premiere surround sound system. The vehicle has 360 camera and 360 alerting when close to an object. Audible alert when to close to a vehicle to stop properly and AWD Anti skid, auto traction control even massagers built into the front heated or cooled seats. Now for the bad parts. - Worst gas mileage ever for a vehicle in this class! Even on the highway it's rarely over 22/ Mostly I get 15-18MPG no matter the driving style. Same problem with the 2016 ( Never fixed). Gas tank is about 13 gallons so if you're going on a trip plan to stop at gas stations frequently. - Whenever I accelerate hard (not flooring it just more than normal to pass) there's a burnt gas/exhaust smell in the car. Same problem with the 2016. Unable to resolve. - Air quality. There's occasionally a strange moldy-flowery smell. Very infrequent in this SUV but it was there all the time in the 2016 and even after paying $200+ for air system cleaning and flush it was still there. - Plastic pieces. The cargo net clasps are little frail plastic pieces pieces that break or pull out of the socket almost every single time I use them. I decided to put a couple boxes in the back to carry loose items because they are so useless. - HID Headlight bulbs. You can't replace one yourself. It's inside the headlight assembly where the plastic cowl protector over the radiator/engine and then the whole light assembly has to be removed. Must be taken to a dealer so a $70 light bulb change is now a $200 light bulb change job at the dealer. - Battery replacement. Can't be done by yourself at least not easy and not less than 4 hours and a lot of twisting, turning and knuckle scraping. It's buried up under the windshield against the firewall. ****Basically anything that should be easy user maintenance has now been rendered impossible so you have to keep going to a dealer to get raked over the coals.*** Review other vehicles in the same category before settling on this one. Although it has great features it's the small inconveniences that add up and keep chipping away at trying to like this vehicle every time you fill the tank or try to fix something that's supposed to be simple. Before settling on one of these for a used vehicle or even the replacement Nautilus you should compare features and reviews of other vehicles in the class. At least I can still get an oil change anywhere for $70 or less!

I've had mine for nearly a year, and have had more service / repairs on it than any of the 15+ cars I've owned. I only keep this because of its spectacular driver's seat. There are other good features, but they're only good when they're operatingproperly. Most of the engineering and design is lousy. The electronics are reliably unreliable. The dashboard is terrible. The "display" catches the sunshine and is often unreadable. The "pushbuttons" are poorly placed, and the pushbutton Start/stop function is unsafe; you'll find out when you suddenly find the engine has stopped while you're driving. The front seats are tightly surrounded by the doors and large, high, center console. If you like black interiors you'll be happier than those of us that like better visibility of our surroundings, as tan or other lighter toned interiors are uncommon.

If you don't require all the features that Lincoln offers, look into the Ford and save $.
