Used 2005 Lexus RX 330 SUV Consumer Reviews
RX 330
Steering is what I would say is over responsive and can cause a swaying sensation when traveling on a straight road. I don't like the response of its acceleration at times. I notice this most when I am traveling at approximately 40 mph and I want to speed up fast, I feel a noticable loss of power, before acceleration begins.
Lexus RX 330 - Perfect Fit
I love this car. It looks small on the outside but dont judge a book by its cover, the inetrior cabin is very spacious and roomy and luxurious luxurious luxurious. Its a great performer and feels like a sedan on an SUV frame. Drives like a luxury automobile but your sitting raised up like an SUV. The crossover fashion that is in style now fits this auto.

Headlight problem
The car is otherwise excellent with one major problem: because of the brightness of the high intensity headlights, they level off at a low level, and the top half of your field of vision is very dark (otherwise other drivers will feel blinded). Very evident driving in the hills or on a freeway when there is very little traffic. Depending on the steepness of the road, may not see more than 25 feet in front of you. Lexus told me it is a known problem with this model in particular but don't know there's much they can do. I'd be interested in whether others have had this problem or ideas where to research it.
GS300 Replacement
Coming from a '98 GS300 (great car) to my first SUV may not be a fair comparison. The steering is not as precise. My '01 Dodge Caravan accelerates quieter. But I guess as far as SUV's go it is at the top of the heap. The quality is definitely there.
More than we expected
My wife and I shopped around the top brand SUV's and decided on the RX330. We have no complaints whatsover about this car after a month of ownership. The ride, the comfort, the looks, the navigation and stereo are more than we expected.
