Used 2017 Lexus GX 460 Luxury 4dr SUV 4WD (4.6L 8cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Vehicle Leaning to ONE side, Lexus refuses to fix
I purchased a NEW 2017 Lexus GX 460 and the vehicle is leaning to the right (passenger side) .Also feels much softer on that side when turning.Took the vehicle to the dealer 3 times already and they refuse to repair it. The even tried to convince me that it was designed to lean this way !!! Feels unsafe to drive it. This is a known problem on the GX 460 (sold as Landcuiser Prado it the whole world except in US) . Google " Leaning Lexus GX 460 and you will not believe how many owners are effected and Lexus refuses to repair. They know there is a problem but will not admit it. Always the answer is " It is within specs " . Looks and feels ridiculously for a 60K SUV. This vehicle shares the same KDSS as the 4Runner, Landcruiser 200 , Landcruiser Prado and it is a known problem for all. The worst part is how Lexus IS handling the problem !!! All owners of GX 460, please check your vehicle and if it leans to the right take to a Lexus dealer. Absolute disappointment!!! Update: 8 months later Lexus still refuses to repair it. At this point I'm not sure if they don't want to repair it because it is expensive to replace there KDSS, because they don't know how to repair it , or because they don't want to admit they have been lying for so long. I talked multiple times with Lexus corporate and one Case Manager even told me that "it is a characteristic of this vehicle to PULL to the right". He didn't even realize the vehicle was leaning, not puling to the right but came up with a lie right away. I guess that is what they are instructed to say because everyone dealing with this problem throughout the country is getting the same answer: your vehicle is within specs or this is a characteristic of your vehicle. It is sad that the same company "Toyota / Lexus " that builds the legendary Land Cruiser also employs such liars. It is so evident that the vehicle has a Serious suspension problem but Lexus keeps denying it. I would absolutely NOT buy another Lexus from now on !

Lexus Enform does not work.
That fancy tech package that might buy does not work. I bought my GX 460 30 days ago (April 2017). The Enform app is down with no date planned to fix the issues. DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY LEXUS IF YOU WANT THE APPS TO WORK. Demand that the dealer demonstrate all of the features before you buy. They won't because they can't. It's crap. I have called both the dealer and Lexus. They will not help. Buy the Audi. I wish I had.

2015 lexus gx460 leaning to passenger side
I have 2015 Lexus Gx460 that is at the shop for leaning to passenger side. When you drive the car sometimes it feels like the car have the front flat tire and it’s not. The car by it self is lowered one left side i mean the hood is lower to the groun than the right side. Took it to dealership and they everything is by specs. Even it does show when u measures with tape measure from ground to the fender one side is lower then the other one for like a inch. Not satisfied with that.

True SUV with real off-road capabilities
Far and above more reliable than a Land Rover / Range Rover, BMW or MB with resale that is legendary. If you get the Luxury Package, you get it all. Sure it does not ride like a RX but it is a body-on-frame and has a real V8, AWD and air suspension for heavy loads. I like this so much that I bought another for myself as the other is my wife’s. The build quality is extremely high and it is very quiet but plenty quick. On a road-trip to the mountains, it got 20.7 mph with 4 people and full of luggage - almost 9 mpg better than my last vehicle. Be sure to get the Luxury model as it will come with real leather, go black if you want it to age well and not show dirt. At 83k miles, only routine maintenance and scheduled maintenance have been done. Still runs flawlessly. Still love it after 5+ years.

Real SUV
My first GX was a 2011 which I bought when it was 5 years old. I traded it at 170k and bought a CPO 2017 GX luxury package with 30k. I currently have 66k on it and love it more as time goes by. The ONE issue I have is the kdss system. It failed on my 2011 and the repair bill was 6k. I decided to trade at that time. My current 2017 is warranted until 100k so I’m nervous about keeping it longer than that and risk another kdss failure. I live in New England where they salt the roads heavily in the winter, which I’ve been told can contribute to the kdss failing prematurely. I’m looking at BMWx5 and Infiniti QX80 but honestly I just love my GX.
