Nice if could take off useless SAT stations
The eco-mode lowers the mpg in city and on the freeway so I have no idea what the point of it or what it's function is actually supposed to be. Also the radio is really annoying since I have three satellite presets I can either alter remove or replace so now I get to scan through three useless blank stations anytime I want to go from FM to my phone. I have no idea why dealerships have been putting that on the display ever basically trying to force you to pay you for crappy service from a crappy company just makes your company look weak. Also the dealership severely lacked in communication and getting back with me on items to be repaired post buy within the stipulations of the contract.

Last Kia I will ever buy
2016 Kia souls are crap, air conditioning went out over 3 weeks ago, took 2 days to finally get a Kia service dealer to call me back to make an appointment. Finally got it in, part was to be in within a week, then backordered for 3 weeks, now yet another week. Kia says they put it on fast track or something like that, yet I'm still driving in the heat. Its been in the 90's and 100's here. Nothing like having a new car and not having a/c. Never again will I buy a Kia as this has been a horrible experience for me. I owned a 2014 Soul and totally loved it, so much that I traded up for a 2016 Soul, only to find they are made MUCH cheaper than the older models, lots less standard options and poor quality compared to the older ones.

Best Car I Have Ever Owned!
I LOVE this vehicle! Spent 6 months on the road this year. Here's the kicker...I was getting 42 MPG on the open road! Amazing! When I would take my Soul in for service and told them the mileage I was getting, they were amazed. Do not under estimate this little powerhouse. Get it out on the road, hit the ECO button, and prepare to be very happy!

really sad
Realized at about 3k that the clock was running slow, not much about 7 minutes a month. At 1st service told the service tech. couldn't see it because they had the car about 1 1/2 hours. There is along story involved since than, and the clock now loses about 3 minutes a week, getting worse. Kia will not repair this problem because its "not a safety issue and is very expensive" I have now bought my 1st and last Kia product. I just hope I have know more electronic issues with this vehicle even though I bought extended warranty from dealer in case these problems happened. I was told the reason I needed to buy the extended warranty was because electronic issues are very expensive to deal with?????? After 21,000 miles car now has the tire light on constantly, about once a week the driver mirror falls to its lowest position and needs to be adjusted and now the clock loses about 10 minutes a week. Soul needs to safety recall so I have to go back to the dealer, I really don't expect much, but hopefully they can get the recall right as the NHSTA says this is the 3rd time they have had this recall and the 1st two times the fix didn't work wont buy another Kia again. Looked at car for recall they said all is ok, tried to sell me services that you can check on my window and see was done 100 miles ago. Tire issue is resolved they put 35 psi in book says 33 door says 32. So I guess tires wont last as long since they are over inflated, doesn't seem to me that's a proper repair??????

Horrible seats
Got the ! Because wanted lumbar support. The seats felt great for a test drive. However driving for 30 minutes headrest pushes your head too far forward and down, regardless of adjustments. Serious neck and upper back pain

KIA Soul purchase
I purchased KIA soul 2016 and paid $16,300; I received a voucher for $14,395; But when I got to the dealer I ended up paying $2k more. Also I found at home that they charged tax on dealer preparation which was $690 and other licence services which should not have been done. The car is fine, but these additions do bother me. I had the car for almost a year, the car does get 28 miles per gallon, it is functional, the only thing is very week is the air conditioning. It has to be on maximum all the time and barely cols the car.
So glad we chose this one!
Looked at a lot of small cars for ease and comfort of older parents and dog. This was the right choice. Plus it's SUPER fun to drive and sporty!

Disposable. Kia fan no more
Dislike Kia support. Far right conspiracy. Took no responsibility, gas lit me for their engine destroying 2 catalytic converters in 15,000 miles. Not shopping Kia, honeymoon is over at 90,000 miles

I have a heart and a Soul.
This is a fun car with good safety features which I consider a priority. It is a dream to park in the supermarkets and shopping parking lots. It is comforting to sit up high and see everything but you aren’t sitting in a large SUV..

Solid car, with plenty of features and great looks for a very moderate and reasonable price. It makes sense why you see these cars all over the road.

mixed bag --- the good, the bad, and the ugly
The low profile tires are prone to destruction if you drive into a pothole, and the expensive alloy rim it is mounted on might get damaged too. ____The wiring harness in the engine compartment got abraded, causing an electrical short in the ignition system and abrupt stalling of the engine, which can be very dangerous is some situations.____Upgrading the digital map in the navigation feature of that expensive radio causes loss of all of your saved addresses. There is no work-around or way to save and reinstall the addresses automatically. You get to type all that information into this turkey again._____The car's interior is comfortable. The sun roof works well. The overall ride and handling is good.____The car did well in the crash safety tests.____Luggage space is small. It can hold one large suitcase and nothing else. The backs of the rear seats do fold down, but not totally, so you do not get more horizontal luggage space, but maybe can lean some stuff against the seat backs.____The dealer partially reneged on my discount certificate. I should have just walked out of the dealership at that point and not bought this car. Subsequently, the dealer has been going the extra mile to be helpful to me with a free loaner car for many days, free reapplication of paint protection, etc.

Great Little Car
I purchased a used 2016 end of Nov 2017 and loved the car. Spacious, good on gas, midnight Black color, had it for almost 3 years and never had any issues with it. Quiet, sturdy, good on the road. Drove it to VA non-stop only stopped for gas. Did only the basic maintenance and that baby was so good. There was a recall I saw through my credit karma account and Kia took care of it right away. They put me in a 2020 kia soul loaner until my car was ready which was about a week. I just trade in my Black 2016 Kia Soul Base for the 2019 Kia Soul Plus in White. Hoping to have this one for some years to come. Definitely recommend this suv crossover car. I give it 5 stars.
Great car for its size
The best thing about the Kia Soul is that it is a car where you sit up high like an SUV. There is more than enough space in the cargo area but the ability to lay the back seats down is a great thing. This is not a zoom-zoom car but it is fine for commuting, comfy, decent sound system. Haven't taken any road trips yet but look forward to it.

Decent Car...
Dealers are charging way too much for this vehicle and aren't budging. 16,600 for a 2016 manual transmission base model? Seems they would rather have a 2016 on their lot going into 2017. Fine with me.

Not worth the $
This cat does not have get up and go power. Mpg is ok. Resale value is terrible !!!!! Car lost $ 8,000 in value in 7 mo. W/ only 8500 miles on it ! It does not come with spare tire , so rotating your own tires w/ a spareis difficult. All the heat from the floor goes to the back seat & front floor board stays cold.

Engine problems
I would not buy another Kia they do not help you when your car is having problems . I had both catalytic converter replaced and it is still burning oil. Now for every 600 miles I am losing a quart of oil.

I love my Soul!
Ok, so it's cute and funky and a blast to drive. I can park it anywhere; it turns like a ballerina. Its steering is super comfortable and easy. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and flawlessly. Earlier this year I bought this brand new leftover 2016 ! model for $16k. And today I learned that it can plow through 10 inches of snow with no problem! What's not to love?!

Love the car. True price not even close
True price is the highest any one should consider. I bought mine for 2k less. To me it is a data point that is an outlier like the sticker price

Great Vehicle, just needs a bit more cargo space
Loved the ease with which you could enter and exit the car. Never had any problems with it for the 3+ years I owned it. Wasn't the smoothest riding car, but wasn't like you were in a go-cart either. Plenty of room for adult back-seat passengers. Very comfortable driver's seat. My only complaint was the lack of cargo area with the seats up (not enough room for golf clubs), which is what lead me to replace it with the Kia Seltos, which I came across completely by accident while waiting at the dealership for my Soul to be serviced. The Soul is darned easy to parallel park too.

Previously Laughed at the Hamster Commercial
We previously laughed at the Hamster Commercial,...not any more. The Exclaim is a perfect luxury second car. We were shopping for a used vehicle and found one with only 9K miles and 1 year old. Really amazed at the value and look. All of a sudden we are noticing how many other souls are driving Kia Souls,.....

Passenger side seat is quite uncomfortable for my wife. Driver's side is good! Need to turn the radio up quite a bit when driving on freeway. Good mileage and handling on the road.

It’s just ok
I’ve owned my vehicle for about 3 years now. I’m purchasing a larger vehicle for more space and more power. When I bought the vehicle it was brand new so the engine was a bit tight and acceleration was a bit slow. I figured after he engine got broken in it would be fine. I will say after the first year the engine was peppy, acceleration was responsive and I was averaging the epa fuel numbers. But in all honesty the car got slow again! I took it to the Kia dealership in hopes that they could run a diagnostic— however they told me this was just a characteristic of the car. Then the seat comfort is just ok. If you’re taller than 5’7 or so you might have some lumbar support issues. Driving the car everyday has become frustrating. I hit the accelerator it thinks then goes. The cargo space is non existent but I always can get all of my groceries in. I think this car is better suited for shorter drivers who maybe do more in city driving. I don’t think this car is great on the highway— or at least it’s been my experience. Again reliable car I know it’s going to start but it’s a bit slow and well kinda uncomfortable in a cramped way

The Little Hatchback that could
As someone who is 6' and 287 lbs. never in my life would I have though I would own one of these cars. However, I was enamored with this cars boxy shape and sporty attitude that just made me want it so bad. I purchased a used 2016 Kia Soul to replace my repossessed Hyundai Sonata and I don't regret buying this vehicle at all. The car rides like any small car (aside from the very top heavy feel when cornering) and feels planted and holds onto the road quite well. The tight steering and different steering modes really make this car a natural fit for a variety of driving styles (I preferred the tighter sport steering mode as I like to feel the cars feedback from the road). The car doesn't lack from performance at all. The 2.0L Theta engine has plenty of spunk and can get up and go and the transmission feels smooth and controlled in all sorts of situations. The spectacular interior really makes this car feel more upscale than it actually is and is a welcoming experience for any driver. The controls are easily in reach, the seats are bolstered well and the car feels almost plush to the touch. The only gripe I had was the seats tendency to attract dirt and filth like a magnet and the small trunk that lacked any real useable space. The vehicle was unfortunately stolen from me during the pandemic and I lost my spunky little hatchback for good, but honestly it was a worthwhile experience for the 2 years I owned the car.

Mini Hot Rod
I bought a used, low mileage Soul Plus to pull behind my motorhome on a dolly. I had owned a year older Base with the smaller engine. The 2.0 turns this box into a hot rod, it laughs at hills. Im so impressed, I use it most everyday. Much better mileage than my F150 Ecoboost and you can park it anywhere.

Purchased a 2016 Kia SOUL two weeks ago. Had a great salesperson named Theo Noor (highly recommend him). Went in their thinking I was going to purchase the Kia Sportage but ended up buying the Kia SOUL. This vehicle was in the price range I was looking to spend. LOVE, LOVE the vehicle so far.
