Too many little problems for a NEW car!
We’ve brought our Kia Sorento in so many times for so many different issues! We never bring our other muchbokder car into the shop.

Good at the beginning but starting to worry.
We have a 2018 Kia Sorento with the 2.4L 4 cylinder. To date we had to replace brakes, tires, and the windshield sprayer on one side snapped. I did have to replace the oil pan plug. Kia gave us a lifetime warranty on the engine due to known problems. Here lately with around 78k miles on it and it has started to use oil. I am impressed with the quality of the interior. At least Kia nacks their products. I just feel the engine will go around 100k miles with it using oil. My brother had a 2014 with 115k miles when his engine blew. They did replace it and gave him a million mile warranty. I don't know if they fixed it for the newer models or not.

Slapped a Toyota badge on it!
Can't beat the price for the value. I've owned several generations of the Sorento now. Each time I buy one I find myself asking "How is this so much more affordable than a Highlander?" They are tough as a Silverado, fast as a turbo Saab, as comfortable as an Oldsmobile and has the longevity of any Toyota. It's even cheaper than the smaller Kia Sportage. It's a higher quality than it's own brother, the Hyundai Santa Fe and it still sells for thousands less. How is this possible? Even the bank didn't flinch at giving me the best loan I had ever seen. Because they know how great a value they are. Once again, I drove away from the dealership WITHOUT a drop of buyer's remorse. This generation is as gratifying as the previous ones, elegant, reliable, tough and luxurious. I love parking it next to my in-laws Toyota Highlander! I get so much gratification gloating about how much less I spent on it. Yet it's comparable in every way. Same size, style, comfort, power and reliability. They paid $60k, I paid $13k! How is the Sorento overlooked generation after generation? Any properly maintained Sorento can exceed 400k miles in it's lifetime. When I drop the hammer it takes off like a sports car! Sometimes I hookup my tandem axle trailer and haul cars and trucks with it. And it tows them as easily as my Silverado does. My one and only complaint is about the way they setup the features on the steering wheel. The cruise control functions feel out of sequence and placement. I still don't understand why cruise control needs to be turned on or off. The up down buttons and the scroll wheel don't belong next to each other. Just pick one and copy that. So I don't have 5 different controls on the steering wheel to try and figure out while I'm trying to drive would be great. Otherwise, I love the interior! The open and welcoming feeling the curves and wood accents makes it comfortable and enjoyable to drive. I barely even need the AWD lock now that it's FWDx4 instead of RWDx4. I am the warranty! So picking a vehicle with parts that are readily available and affordable is a priority. I absolutely love the fact that I the Hyundai Santa Fe is also sold in such high numbers. Ensuring that parts are always cheap and available. That's a massive advantage over any Toyota, Lexus, Volvo, Mazda or Audi. For when or even if, I ever actually need to replace anything on my Sorento. I'll flog this baby every mile I put on it. Never once wondering if it will make it.
