Have only had vehicle 6.5 months, but vehicle is the best I've ever owned. Very comfortable and a blast to drive. It almost makes rush hour traffic enjoyable. Plenty of room for people and 'stuff'. Full size adults fit comfortably in rear seats.
Ya gotta' have one of these!

Purchased a new 2004 Sorento EX/4WD with luxury package, ABS & rear spoiler. Researched & test drove everything from a Hyundai Tucson to a Lincoln Navigator. No other SUV offers so much quality, options, warranty & pure fun! The ride is solid but comfortable and the fit/finish is great. It's a real head-turner. The absolute best bang-for-the-buck in the mid-size SUV class. Gas mileage is acceptable (I am averaging about 17 MPG in town but to get that you need to keep your foot out of it). This is one GREAT vehicle. Ya gotta' have one of these!

I was in the market for a car when a friend of mine suggested that I try the Sorento. I was so glad I did!! This SUV is as awesome as the title says. This venicle has been off-road and on the city streets of Chicago. If any of you know about the highways in Chicago, you know they're almost as bad as going off-road. However, I've hit potholes, roadkill, branches, DEEP standing water (that's really cool), curbs, etc. and there's absolutely no rattling in the car. NONE!! I've got close to 23,000 miles on my EX and except for the gas mileage, I've found nothing wrong with it!

I had nothing but problems from the time I bought my Kia brand new. Crack in the drive shaft with less than 300 miles on it a month after I bought it. Constant electrical problems that the dealer couldn't fix: brake lights out every 3 months, headlights out every 6 months. Both headlights blew out at the same time once! $400+ to replace sensors, including throttle and airbag, which warranty had just expired (conveniently). Bad catalytic converter, which went bad 2K miles after warranty expired. This is the WORST purchase of my life. The only reason I didn't get rid of it sooner was because I was STUCK with it: they depreciate too fast you can't trade them in. PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE @ its best!

We compared other midsize SUV's but found the Sorento to have all the same features as the more commonly known brand SUVs in the USA, but for about $5,000 less.

I tried lots of SUVs before buying my Kia. Overall, it had the best package. Tough enough to go offroad, luxurious, safe, good warranty, powerful, neat looking, not crazy expensive. I almost bought the top of the line Jeep Cherokee Limited for the same price, but liked the Kia's drive much better.

When I saw ,KIA, I was amazed. I could not believe this was a KIA. The design and style of the Sorrento is striking. Needless to say, I am still impressed by the ride and amazed at the sticker price. I am attracted by the warranty, offer of Lifetime tire replacement, free oil changes for three years and far more features than any other SUV in this price range. I think that the LX in black is much prettier than the EX in black. But, the only way to have the options I wanted was to purchase the EX. You will not be dissapointed if you choose to purchase one.

I am very unhappy with my 2004 Kia Sorento First the water overflow tank went bad, both sides of the front end had to be replaced, multiple sensors. the head lights and tails lights continually go out. We have had to get the air charge the last 3 years and now it doesn't work at all and I still owe 3 months worth. Can't wait to be done with this lemon!

STANDARD SUN ROOF, HEAVY DUTY EXTENTION. QUIET RIDE, OURS IS FULLY LOADED. WE THINK OUR SORENTO LOOKS BETTER THEN THE LEXUS, ACURA & BMW SUV, WHICH COSTS 10K TO 20K MORE!! What's not to like? The only option my EX has is ABS. Great sterio, great alloy wheels, 65k mile Michelin tires, the best warranty of any like SUV. Great looks(Lexus eat you heart out), great colors and two tone match up, good ground clearance, could have better gas milage but the V-6 is needed to tow 3500 pounds. I'm not a fake wood kind of guy, but there isn't that much. All around great SUV. Oh yeah, NHTSB 5 stars.

Overall, we love it - looks great and fits our needs forthe price. A sturdy well built excellent warranty vehicle. If in the market, these are better than Fords or Chevys any day !!!

After having two minivans over the past 7 years, I test drove and researched every midsize SUV out there....I LOVE MY SORENTO!!! The comfort is amazing...very easy and fun to drive, I love the large moon roof...the console is great...the interior is very classy and plush...stereo/cd controls at the wheel are great! People approach me and comment on what a sharp vehicle it is and ask how I like it...what do you think I tell them??? I LOVE IT!! I also feel very safe in this vehicle...it is SOLID and with front/side airbags...and 10 yr-100 mile powertrain warranty...hard to beat!! I can't wait until it snows so I can test the 4-wheel drive!!!!

We've had our Sorento for four months and it remains the only car I've ever had (out of about 20) that seems to be worth considerably more than what I paid for it. It is a blast to drive and the engine has enough torque to embarass many V-8s off the line. Since Kia hired Porsche to do the suspension tuning, the stiff ride is understandable and in my view, preferable. When you factor in the double five-star crash test results-- what a deal! I'm so glad I didn't get a Lexus RX 300 or a BMW X5.

I purchased my Kia a year ago and have loved it ever since, it is a great car and handles great on the road, I have never has one problem with it. I have 4 kids and they were all with me when I bought it and they love it too. The all fit in it and are comfortable. Some times I let my husband drive it.

My kia has been a joy to drive. It has a solid stable feel over a variety of terrain. I have not had any trouble with it so far and hope to keep it that way with regular maintenance.

We jsut got this rig and it seems to be solid for the price. We really looked around and in the beginning mileage was a major factor but as we atarted to look for the price and wiht the warranty we get with this vehicle we decided to give up a couple of miles per gallon and give it a try. I read all of the reviews about the road noise and I think Kia must have also because the 2004 seems to be solid in that area. I think it is a great buy for te money and would recommend it to anyone. Another side note is I have already had people from a distance think that I was driving a Lexus SUV!

I love the pick up and go that my vehicle has! It's fun to drive and has more cargo room than my old Dodge Grand Caravan! The way it turns on a dime and stops quickly make it great for parking in tight quaters. I love taking it on long trips because of the way it rides and handles and sounds!

Did not know KIA brand, accidential stopped at the dealer, took the Sorentio of test drive, after comparing it to other SUV and doing a little research, could not find a better buy. Excellent value for the vehicle and features. It is a fun vehicle to drive. Excellent safety features, which resulted in a lower cost of insurance. Nice warrant, looked at several other vehicle, for the money could not find one that could compare.

After reading reviews and shopping around alot I settled on the Sorento EX with the AWD luxury package. When I pulled into my daughters driveway her husband came out and gasped " Lexus 300 ". I said look at the grill. "KIA,oh my god". That was the first of many. This is a solid truck. The controls are intuitive. The sound system is the bomb. The interior makes me feel like I stole the bosses Escalade. My wife leaves her Liberty in the driveway. Nice.

Its a GREAT Mid size SUV.. and you dont have to pay the price of a ford Explorer and it looks lik the Lexus SUV for a fraction of the cost!! My sister in law has the Lexus SUVa nd my Kia Sorento has all the same features. give a a Kia any day. When my daughter turns 16 in about 2 years I will give her the sorento and get another one...The very best deal for the $$$$

I just got my Sorento and I love it! It looks just like the Lexus, but it has a much nicer sticker price. I looked at a lot of SUVs, and there aren't any out there that can compare to the features for the price. I would like better fuel mileage though.

I fell in love with this SUV. For the price and safety features you can not go wrong.Safety rating are a big plus. Side air bags, steel reenforced doors/frame, and a drop down engine where very important for protection of my family. 10yr/100,000 mile warranty is best amoung most.

After researching all the alternatives in this class of vehicle, the Sorento leaves the rest far behind. It is stylish, comfortable, the interior is attractive with amenities one expects to find only in more expensive vehicles. I am adjusting to an SUV after years of loving the cargo space in a large minivan, but the Sorentos quality for the price is helping me overcome that quickly.

I had my heart set on a Toyota Sequoia,but after test driving the 2004 Kia Sorento I was hooked. The body style caught my eye. It's sporty and solid. Not only is it a great looking vehicle, it costs thousands less than the Toyota SUV's even with the luxury package!

Ive had my Sorento right about a year and have now put 21,ooo miles on it.It has had no problems at all and has been a real pleasure to drive.I too was skeptical of the Kia badge ,but did alot of research before I purchased.Its turned out to be a real good vehicle so far,and for the features you get its a great choice.

I have found this Kia Sorento to be one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. I have bought ten new cars and vans over the years and this is the first one that I have never had one problem of any type .We have been driving round trip of 700 miles every two weeks and have been bringing home furniture in the back with the seats down.I never get tired of driving this vehicle.
Save 8 grand and love it.

Transmission: Nissan, Brakes: Bosch, Liomited slip Diffrential; Eaton/Carbon..etc..etc They put together a really nice package..dosent compare to Mazda Tribute..closer to Honda Pilot for a whole lot less. Dont be concerned about the gas mileage..if you do the math you will NEVER eat up the 8 grand you saved plus add the warranty and you cant go wrong.

I've had the Kia Sorento for almost two months now, and I love it! I live in colorado and have over a hundred mile commute to and from work into the mountains, and this SUV is great. It picks up really well when going up into the mountains and I love the cruise control. It also handles very well going around curves. This is a great SUV and I would reccomend it to anyone who wants a reliable and fun SUV, but who doesn't want to spend a fortune to get it.

When I started looking into the SUV market I had never considered KIA. Korean made....how good can it be? A visit a to a local dealership and a test drive soon convinced me. I was very impressed with the overall quality of the vehicle. It is very well made, offers a great ride, comfortable, 5 star crash test rating, awesome sound system. The performance in snow is outstanding. It is not the best vehicle on the road for fuel economy however. Then again you are lugging around slightly over 4300 lbs so it is about as good as you can expect from a SUV of this size. It is not a Lexus but then again it is not 40K plus. Simply put it is a Great Vehicle for the $$$.

I have had my Kia for a few months now. I love it. The engine is a little noisey when you really get it your all. I love that i can fit into tight parking spots with no problems. So far i love it am glad in made the purchase.

Great driving vehicle. Handles wonderfully. Without 4WD, it still handles well in the snow. Interrior is very comfortable and very pleasant to travel in. Has lots and lots of power. I love my Kia Sorrento EX.

Drove to Orlando , Fl on vacation. the trip was smooth and we had plenty of room to carry what we needed. It is small enough that parking in that area was no problem. During the many rain storms we drove though them with no problems.

Bought this SUV after reviewing it online for 3 months. I give it pretty good marks for for its head turning looks. Superior rating for its endless list of standard features esp the EX model that I bought. Best of all, I couldn't have done much better at $24000 at 0% financing for 6 years. Definitely a lot of bang for the bucks. Believe me, I test drove the Highlander, the Tribute and the Jeep Liberty. They come nowhere close to the Sorento in build and features.

I was looking for an affordable SUV - something that I thought I would never find! Then the Kia Sorento's came out and I hit the jackpot! Not only was it affordable but it was good looking too! It only got better when I took it for a test drive - it drove beautifully. I am pleased with my purchase and the compliments on my vehicle keep rolling in.

Sorento is attractive and very solid suv. It is very capable in the mud. Much more comfortable than was the Honda CRV I traded. The Kia dealership has treated me very well. It is a shame that they do not make a mid-sized pick up as it would put the Dakota to shame.

I traded in a 2001 4 cyl Toyota Highlander which was having engine problems at 60,000 miles. This vehicle is peppy and feels more solid than the Highlander which I did also like very much.

My Kia Sorento is perfect for our family of four. It drives well and handels well in the snow and icey condictions in Indiana. I feel very safe riding in my SUV. It has the highest side impact rating by the government. The Kia rodes high off the road so you can see a lot of what's ahead of you. It comes with lots of standard features that I consiter extras.
