My Luxury Model
The Sorento is a beautiful car with a sleek eye catching design. It drives like a luxury model for the price of an economic vehicle. People that drive the more expensive luxury models take a look inside my vehicle and are amazed at the beautiful design and the comfort that this car has. I have even let people test drive my car to see the expressions on their faces on how smooth this vehicle drives. Basically, everyone that sees my car loves it. This vehicle is just perfect all around.
Inexpensive Luxury
You must test a Kia sorento , if your looking for a midsize SUV. I am driving a 2wd EX w/luxury package. I was looking to drive a 4wd, but this was the interior and amenities I wanted. Handles with ease. Very comfortable, everything at your finger tips. Would you like a luxury vehicle?..and a Truck?.. This is it !!!

Yes, I bought a Kia!
Yes, I bought a Kia! At first I was nervous about doing so, but after months of research and test driving other SUVs on the market, it became obviously clear that the Sorento was the SUV for us (the warranty helped ease my mind about buying a Kia as well. I love the way it looks (I call it my generic Lexus) and with the luxury package on the EX model, it has all the features you need in a vehicle. It rides very nice and the seats are very comfortable, it is an all-around great vehicle. We've only had it for 3 weeks, but already have put on more than 1,000 miles and it seems to be doing great.
Who knew you could love a Kia?
I must say, we almost did not even look at the Sorrento, simply because it is a Kia. We were going to shop for a late model 4 Runner or Pathfinder. This car is wonderful!! We actually found a "used" Sorrento with 4k miles on it and it's got EVERYTHING! All the aftermarket goodies, tow pkg, luxury pkg, step sides. I really am so happy with this purchase, and the 10yr/100k mile warranty that comes with it so I know I can keep it for many years to come. Also see if you can swing an aftermarket leather package into your deal, it makes the seats feel like Lazy Boy recliners! I highly recommend the Sorrento, I would, without a doubt, buy this SUV again!!
Takes a lick'in and Keeps Tick'in
We got into an accident the day of purchase. The Sorento took the rear end hit well. The passengers were not harmed by a vehicle traveling 50+. Very impressed at the strength of the vehicle.
Sorento Ex - A Pleasant Surprise
My experience with the Sorento was definitely a nice surprise. It handles well, the drive is great. It is like driving a car. The ride is not rugged. I have not had any problems so far. You get a lot of vehicle for the price. This is my 3rd Kia vehicle. Kia has one of the best warranties.
Happy Kia Owner :)
I was looking to buy a Jeep Cherokee or a Durango, but when I saw the Kia, I completely forgot about the competition. The price is better, it looks very classy, and is just as roomy as the other SUV's. People give my vehicle double takes, they are so impressed. I've introduced the Kia to several of my friends, and now they are looking to buy one.
My second Kia Sorento
I bought my first Kia Sorento in January. I was very close to buying a Highlander. So close that I had put a deposit on one, but cancelled the purchase because I thought the Highlander was not enough car for the money. It was $32,800. The next week I test drove the Sorento. The car gave a better ride, was better looking and best of all was $7,000 less expensive than the Highlander. We have enjoyed the Sorento so much that when we needed another car for my wife we went back to the dealer and bought another one. Now we have a black Sorento EX and a white Sorento EX.
MORE FOR YOU MONEY
THIS VEHICLE IS NOT ONLY AFFORDABLE BUT THE FEATURES IS SUPERB NOT A WHOLE LOT OF PLASTIC PARTS TO BREAK. THE ONE THING THAT KIA SHOULD HAVE OFFERED WAS MORE HORSEPOWER AT 197 IT IS NOT AS QUICK AS MOST IN ITS CLASS BUT IT OUT WEIGHTS EVERYTHING ELSE ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO SAFETY! THAT YOU CANNOT BE A PRICE TAG ON AND WHEN IT COMES TO SAFETY AND REALIABILITY IT OULD RATHER TAKE THAT THAN THE EXTRA HOSEPOWER. KIA HAS A WINNER ON THEIR HAND ALL THEY NEED TO DO IS GIVE IT MORE HOSEPOWER THEN ALL BUYER WILL SAY WOW!! WHAT A SUV
Eye catching SUV
I did alot of research on the Sorento, I had not seen that many on the road. Everything that I had read was positive, and for the price you can not beat this SUV. I test drove it and was very pleased with the ride and comfort, also plenty of room for the kids in the back seat. And I was very pleased with the warranty, if a company is willing to back the vechile with the kind of warranty, they know they have built a great car.
2003 kia sorento ex
i'vw owned a 2003 kia sorento ex 4x4 for about 5 years now, i bought it.with 90k miles now at 160k miles still running strong, as long you change the timing belt and water pump on time you should be all right, thw 3.5L mutsubishi engine is very reliable, the aisin transmission on the 4x4 model is the same as the toyota 4runner, very reliable transmission, i heard of a lo of people having problems with the cranshaft pulley bolt so i upgraded to a steel more strong bolt when replace the timing belt, good suvs as long you keep up with the maintenance...

Only complaint is the brakes are a little squishy even after having them repaired.

Garbage
I own a 2003 Kia sorento and it is garbage. I can't count how many times I have had to replace a headlamp. The clock resets constantly on its own. I have blown fuses galore. Changing the rotors is impossible unless you own or can get your hands on a impact wrench. And most of all, their Service dept. has been horrible, rude and deceiving. Don't waste you money. I get 17mpg gallon highway at 65mph if I am lucky. And yes, I have completed all their recommended, bogus service schedules. I hate it. Hope I save somebody the headache of owning a pile of junk like this. 100,000 mile warranty is a joke. Be careful
best car i ever own
I bought this suv at towncenter kia in kennesaw. I paid at MSRP even there was markup for around 2000 dollars. the suv is so nice and quiet, compare to my 95 grand cherokee. it is just powerfulas my Grand cherokee and fit and finish is impressive. I had 170,000 miles on my grand chrokee and changed tranny twice that costed me alomost $2000 each. wish sorento do btter than Grand cherokee. And milage is better than i expect average of 20- 23mpg mostly highway. better than EPA suggest. may be because i drove so nicely(don't press accel hard) because it is new....
Great SUV
The best SUV for the price.
best purchase ever
I've only had the kia about three weeks and so far it apears to be the best auto purchase my wife and I have ever made. We love everything about the sorento.
Happy Aussie Convert
Like everyone in the US when a friend suggested I look at the Kia Sorento I said what?? Kia?? they only make cheap cars dont they?? cheap is right the Sorento is $10,000 cheaper than its nearest rival. Sorentos are only available in Australia with every option except leather & sunroof which I opted for. Love the looks, ride, warranty & value for money.
Sweden
A greatful car thats works just fine for me, hopeful many great miles ahead!
KIA Sorento
Great ride. A thinking mans Lexus.
KIA sorrento
Kia is not a good vehicle. I have had many unresolved complaints with the Sorrento we currently own. i will never own any vehicle like this again.
Love My KIA....If it weren't in the shop
Purchased my beautiful 2003 Sorento EX Alpine Gray, side rails & pinstrip on 9-26-2003. Love everything about it accept that it has been in the shop three times 10-7-2003, Check Emissions Light -10-15-2003 Check Emissions Light - couldn't find a problem 10-21-2003, Check Emissions Light. They are replacing the thermostat now. I have the sinking feeling that I bought a lemon. Plus, the customer service at the shop sucks, which I have since reported to Kia Consumer Care. Otherwise, the performance of vehicle, the ride, look, everything is great. Contacted an attorney today to discuss the matter. It will get resolved one way or another.
I love my Sorento!!
After renting a Sorento while on vacation, my husband and I feel in love with it! I have always had Explorers and my husband has a Tahoe. We felt that the ride and handling of the Kia surpassed that of both of our other vehicles, especially my Explorer. Driving through the mountains with another couple, the four of us could not believe how snappy the engine was and how well the vehicle handled the curves. Our friends in the back seat were so comfortable after riding there all day and one has back problems! Also, we noticed that the four of us could easily converse due to the quiet ride. We love SUV's and this is by far the best yet!
WHAT A DEAL!
As many have said, the styling, solid feel, attention to detail and man many extras made this the best choice out the field of competitors. I did find that I knew more about this vehicle than most of the sales staff or managers where I shopped. Armed with knowledge ( thanks to Edmunds.com and some others) I managed to purchse my KIA for UNDER invoice my a substantial ammount. The Dealer split the hold back with me which is 2 percent of the MSRP on this vehicle. Better catch them on a good day to get that thrown in!
