It's A Jeep!

My first new vehicle was a 1979 CJ-7 and I had to get rid of it when I started a family. I always swore I'd have another, and with the kids gone, the 30 year anniversary of my first Jeep seemed like a great time. This one is far superior in comfort and ride, but when you the pavement ends, it's still a Jeep! I bought it for $6K off sticker and have have a blast buying after market add-ons for it. This vehicle is just plain fun to drive, whether on or off road. It is not my primary vehicle, but I consider it a safe alternative to riding a motorcycle. If you've always wanted one, get it! If your more concerned about mpg and cargo space than fun, forget about it. I have no regrets!

My 09 Rubi does everything I've asked. If I wanted great gas mileage I would have bought a Yaris, high performance on the road a mustang and tow a trailer a pickup. This is a fun vehicle that does a lot of things well, but off roading excellent.

Duel purpose --- Off road King

This vehicle is designed for best performance off the road as a land warrior, however it may be used for everyday transport, but it remains a Wrangler and not a family car. You could fit three six year aged children in the rear with good space. For adults, its a 2 door like a sports vehicle and designed for limited use, that said it is a grand all-rounder for back packing adventures, off the grid driving, or up for the toughest of terrain outback style mud slinging, rock pelting dust bellowing adventures,... or smile, just clean on and in the snow driving. The turn angle is fantastic compared to most other cars and trucks, the Wrangler 2D turns better than a big cruiser motorcycle. It can climb up and go down steep grade hills and rock embarkments at angles other cars would be stuck dead. It was a durable designed vehicle for the US military since 1942. It has come a long way since then, much technologically and electronically improved for such duty that old marines would be jealous and envious that they had none like it in the early days. I want to keep my Wrangler... the more I think about its potential and its unique abilities as transport or for daily drive or fun escapes. If I had more money and no wife, I would have many vehicles, each for a specific purpose and performance use. However reality sets in and I cant do as I want, however I try. The Jeep X is my first brand new vehicle I had had the pleasure of owning for a decade plus. Its simple in design, easy to work on and self servable by the knowledgably non-professional mechanic. Well, it has been a fun ride, will miss her dearly. Hail to the next owner of a Wrangler big motor as the little motors 4 cylinders are the new craze. Add a turbo charger to get he horses and off you go! Don't expect the motor to last as long as the V6 3.8 L. This is power house American classic. The Wrangler X-modified. Need I feel sorry I am selling it when I would rather keep it? YES

This is not a car to drive to the grocery store and bring your Grandmother/Mother/Sister/Wife/Girlfriend/Mistress! This is s purpose built "offroad" vehicle with some garnish of comfort. The Navigation system is excellent and leaves "crumbs" to find your way back on an unmarked trail. The 4WD system is best in low range when you lock the front and rear differentials. Do not skimp and get a cheaper Wrangler, you truly get what you pay for with the Rubicon model with beefier axles, better gearing, offroad tires, differentials, and an electronic disconnecting anti roll bar for better wheel articulation.
