2024 Jeep Wagoneer L Consumer Reviews
Pricing
Not a great impression.
I rented a 2024 Wagoneer L on a recent trip with my family. My first choice was a Suburban but the rental facility didn’t have any, so i settled on the Wagoneer. I’m glad I only had to live with the vehicle for 10 days. Pro: Comfortable Spacious, seriously. Impressive power and oomph for its size Cons: Overpriced Some buttons in awkward spaces (rear hatch close isn’t located on the hatch, so you have to push it (located on the rear pillar) and run out of the way of the closing hatch) Rough transmission shifts, mostly on downshifts The engine doesn’t immediately drop to idle when you take your foot off the accelerator, in fact if you are accelerating, even lightly, the car will continue accelerating with no input from the driver for 1-2 seconds after removing pressure from the pedal. Probably the most frustrating thing is that the front facing radar sensor just didn’t work. Car says to wipe it off, which i did, and it continues to display the same message. It’s a $70k car with 8500 miles on it. No automatic emergency braking (which is fine, i could work without that) but the adaptive cruise control also was inoperative. I know these all seem like pedantic whining but you would think that for the price tag, it would work better and be more refined. Don’t fall for the advertising, stay away from the Wagoneer.
