Great Looking 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk

Great looking Jeep with flaws. Been in the shop 5 times under warranty. Wind noise and no leg room in the back. I like the look, style, interior and 4 wheel drive.

Not the Best

I bought this jeep brand new. Immediately I started having acceleration issues. The car has issues accelerating all of the time. Sometimes I'll turn and it will pause and then accelerate. This has caused me to almost get t-boned many times. Sometimes I can't go over 60 on the highway and even trying to get to 60 mph takes a long time. Bluetooth always has issues. As miles got added on the acceleration worsened. My car which is keyless entry started having starting issues. It wouldn't start when I push the start button and when it did it was delayed. Took it in and they said it just needed a software updated. The next morning the issue happened again. Sometimes the keyless entry fails too, it doesn't always work. I was really hoping to keep this car until the end but I don't think I can trust it and will be looking for a replacement.

Super Glitchy. This is kind of a cool little car that makes you feel like you are driving an old 70's Jeep but with all the tech stuff. Only problem is, there's a lot of tech stuff that my be a little much for the car's system causing issues. I was reading through these reviews and I have had the same exact issue as several others with the check engine light coming on and the code reader at the dealership showing a thermostat issue. However, the car doesn't run hot at all and there's no actual issue with the thermostat. The check engine light keeps coming on and does something to "trick the car". At one point I couldn't get the car started. Thought it might be the battery and jumped the car which actually worked. But then had the battery tested and the battery is fine. Very weird and seems that they cant fix it. On another note: The acceleration seems to be decent around town, but getting up to speed on the freeway makes you realize the lack of power. I guess this lack of power is expected for a car at this price but wish they'd have done a better job with the electronics

I have 115,000 miles on my Renegade and have recently replaced the front brakes. Not bad for the miles I have on it. Only other thing the air-conditioning needing service Still runs Great has amazing turning ratio so a very fun ride

This vehicle looks small on the outside, but inside it is quite spacious. Very smooth ride, I feel extremely secure as I drive. Navigation is included!

Great in snow, awesome in summer. Stylish, cute. Get the MySky roof for that too less feel. Heated seats and steering wheel for winter comfort. Truly an all weather vehicle. Also, you can climb a rock mountain if so inclined!

I found a 1.4L manual transmission, 4x4 Latitude from 2016 with limited miles. Had it for two months and love. Gets my family of four around town, good enough on gas for commuting. Got a hitch with a cargo carrier to have a little more storage space, and put on crossbars to transport a paddle board. Can’t wait to try it out in some snow and mud. It’s a major upgrade from my old Jeep Liberty and I couldn’t be happier.

When I bought my Renegade they were fairly new to the Jeep family. I wanted an SUV for a really long time, but everything looked alike and resembled station wagons. I was searching the internet and saw the Renegade. I liked the way it looked so I read the reviews, did some research and drove my new Renegade home after a test drive in which I fell in love with her. I love everything about it. I enjoy driving it and I like the way it handles. There is plenty of room for my groceries without putting the back down. It's comfortable and fairly decent on mileage. I love taking it on long trips.

Absolute rubbish. Sun roof broken- motor went out, had the motor mounts switched out 3xs in one year! Catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The thing honks at me if i take too long with the truck open. My dash will cycle through every single notification every now and then. There is a rattling that comes from the sun roof that no one can find. This is not a "smooth" driving vehicle. It feels like a dang vehicle you would ride on a safari. Every time i get something fixed 3 more things fall apart on it. Such a money pit. Ive never had a more awful experience with a vehicle. I will never buy anything jeep brand again.

LOUSY LATITUDE TRANSMISSION

I bought this brand new, was a great car at first till around 26,000 miles notice the hard shifting between gears even stalling out on me several times. Continued to bring back to dealer the transmission 948 te was recalled due to this issue, but since there are no codes when i bring into shop they cant say this is the issue. The technical service bulletin (tsb) is 21-013-16 was released to technicans, regarding this issue with the 9 speed transmission problems in 2016 and what to indicate if the customer indicates that their transmission shift quality. This was dated march 2016!!!! Nhtsa item # 10074979. i only have 40,000 on mine as of now and has been brought in several times and contacted Chrysler Jeep as well. According to them the issue needs to do it for a tech??

Looks great but miss my Honda CRV bigtime

Jen Greene, 11/10/2017

When I bought this car, I was previously driving a 2004 Honda CRV. I bought this car because it wasn't your typical looking SUV. It had such character and was just a good looking smaller SUV, which is what I wanted. However, After purchasing my 2016 Jeep Renegade Limited, I quickly became irritated. The gas mileage wasn't so great and this particular model has no pick up whatsoever. Little things began to bother me such as no place to put your sunglasses, not much storage compartments or cup holders. The blue tooth didn't work that great and I was constantly getting electrical warnings about the tires and the transmission. When I took the car in to the dealers, they were nice and basically said they "needed to reset the computer". This helped for about a month and then started happening again. Also, sometimes, the key fob would not work properly and I had issues starting the car!! The car also rides a bit rough and I have trouble with the visibility when I look out to my blind spots. Again, I love the looks and the value of this car but I wished I had spent more and just got my loved Honda. They are reliable and I owned Honda's since 1990 and have never been disappointed.
