Amazing vehicle does exactly what it says

I work in the Oil and Gas sector in Alberta and drive this vehicle up and down mountain roads, lease roads and over rig mat’s summer, winter, fall (Spring is typically slow for me). It handles well on highway, looks great downtown Calgary, handles great in the bush and with the right tires is glued to the road in the worst conditions. I am also an avid skier and mountain biker with a son and a dog. I have had many other SUVs (Xterra, Explorer, Cadillac, Escape) this is hands down the best one for my lifestyle. My Jeep rides a little higher then most due to larger tires ect... but I can go anywhere a pick up can off road which is all I need given this is what most people drive on site (so roads are built with this in mind) I am sitting at 120k (kilometres - I drive a lot) and no major repairs even my brakes (just checked) are still at 50%. This is my first Jeep ever and I almost bought something else instead. It will not be my last. I plan on buying another one once this ones hits 200k. If your in the market for something you can be confident taking a client to lunch in or hitting the backcountry this is the vehicle for you.

Travel Trailer (22FT Airstream), no issues. Love the larger touch screen and added technology added since my 2014.

First time Jeep buyer, first time SUV owner....I have always driven sports cars, but I bought a home with large property, and found myself looking at a velvet red Grand Cherokee Limited X...... I own a lot of vehicles, but never a SUV. When I acquire a new vehicle, it has to grow on me....and a recent truck purchase never did grow on me, and I did not like it.....and here is the point: on the ride home from the dealership, I knew I absolutely loved this Jeep vehicle, because of the ride quality, quietness, confidence in handling, and all the technology in the options....Pro tech 1 and Pro tech II.....this vehicle is simply amazing all the way around.....content, style, performance, and so comfortable.....tows 6200 Lbs with load leveling rear..... I am quite surprised at how much I totally dig this rig right off the bat. A beautiful American product 🇺🇸

My fourth Jeep (third Grand Cherokee). This latest iteration has 500 miles on it to date and has an exceptional quality-made interior and currently is getting 18.9 mpg (mixed city and highway). While I miss my diesel (34 mpg on its shakedown trip to Alabama), the 6-cyl engine unleaded appears sufficient (I didn't get the 8 cyl) and the safety systems appear to work as advertised. I will say that I switched off the "LaneSense" ... felt like there was some control-related issue that made me uncomfortable. That system appears to be a solution looking for a problem. Overall, vehicle handles well at highway speed (both dry and wet conditions); steering is responsive in city traffic; still waiting for first snowfall to see how that works out.

I bought this for simplicity of flat towing behind RV. Something changed in 2020 model as owners manual says to disconnect the negative battery terminal which is extremely difficult to access. Jeep customer service cannot tell me correct way to flat tow and they tell me there are no engineers available to research. The 2019 owners manual leaves that step out and it works as designed. Super frustrated but the car is very nice.

No matter what you use your SUV for this is as versatile as you can get! Almost as much off road capability as the wrangler and almost as many mods available while also being quiet and great ride and handling too. (The newer extra length JGC is desirable especially if you drive long distance due to its longer wheelbase.) We have the overland model with all the off road gear of trailhawk. The hemi engine is also awesome (the V6 is also quite solid and desirable in the South as it's easier to keep it cool in the hot weather) very simple and easy to work on as it still has port FI, not direct FI and no turbos. Result is still great performance and decent mileage while not costing enormously for maintenance. This is a highly recommended SUV and is top of its class!

I have owned three Jeeps before buying this one (CJ7, TJ, JK Unlimited Rubicon) so I am not new to the Jeep brand. I rented a Grand Cherokee for a vacation and drove it for over 2k miles over a two week period and fell in love with it. It was a great touring SUV, very comfortable, good acceleration, and very comfortable. We bought a Laredo Altitude 4x4 with many of the upgrades I wanted for our touring SUV and after only a couple hundred miles I feel I have made a great decision. I initially wanted the Trail Hawk but then realized that 90% of my driving is on road and my severe off-roading days are over so I went with the more road friendly version but still with the upgraded 4WD system.

This is my 3rd Grand Cherokee and it is the best yet. I had a 2015 Limited 175,000 miles and a 2017 Summit 125,000 miles. I enjoy the air ride, the technology and the cabin refinements. The 2020 has improved power V6 and improved braking. I drive about 40-45 K miles per year and I want a comfortable ride that handles rain, snow, changing traffic conditions. The UConnect technology is user friendly with added Apple play and Android play.

Have owned a variety of vehicles but must say Jeep is my favorite. That being said the Grand Cherokee is my favorite Jeep and the best all around SUV I have owned. The GC is not too large or small. It is extremely versatile and will go almost anywhere you want to go. I do mostly on road driving but have taken it off road a couple of times and it does extremely well. Just bought my fifth GC a few months ago which is a 2020 Limited model and it has all the right standard features along with some nice options. Couldn't be happier with it.

I went from Ford explorer to Jeep grand cherokee overland with 5.7, this SUV is awesome. Lots of features as i bought it loaded plus the 5.7 hemi engine. It's quite, excellent sound system, stable as a rock on the highway. I just LOVE IT. Try one and you will see. After owning my Jeep for a year i can only say it was worth the purchase. My wife loves the Jeep and prefer driving it over her Chrysler 300S hemi, may have to trade her car in on a Jeep. Excellent SUV i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!!!

When this body style of SRT came out, I purchased one of the first out of the gate. It was a head-turner and I had the front line spot at the valet. When it came time to move it along, I decided to buy another. That was a great car, and despite some issues with the carbon fiber and a water-pump, it was a good enough experience to try it for a third time. This SRT is more refined than my previous two. It's quieter and rides firm, but easier to drive. There is a little less engine noise. I opted for the leather package and am glad I did. It adds a touch of elegance. I also like the screen set-up. It is a much appreciated refinement. All in all, number three is a hit.

Chrysler's System Failed

My 2020 Jeep Gran Cherokee with 30,000 miles broke down in the middle of the highway while I was passing a semi truck. Luckily, was traveling with my wife in a second car and was able to pull my car off the highway to the side of the road. Called Chrysler Road Side Assistance to get my Jeep towed. After multiple calls, waited for 4 hours to be told that I would have to get my own tow service since they weren't able to find anyone. Found a tow service but had to wait another 3 hours for them to arrive. Spent the night in Flagstaff so we could go to the dealership first thing the next morning. Boy were we disappointed when we were told that it would take 2 weeks before they would even be able to look at the vehicle to determine what the problem was. Was told by the service rep. that it was probably the battery - NOT. Before it was towed, I had tried to turn over the engine many times. The battery was dead due to leaving the flashers on all night after being towed. After 2 weeks, the repair tech took over 1 day to diagnose the problem. Apparently a fuse was blown that took out BOTH the primary and auxiliary fuel pumps. Took another 4 days to get a fuel pump delivered before they could work on fixing the car. After 19 days, I was told that my car was ready. Was on the road for the 5 1/2 hour drive to pick up my Jeep when I received a call saying that while test driving the vehicle, they noticed that the rear tires had a 'flat' spot which caused a bumpy ride due to being pulled off the road. The car was 'locked' in park when I tried to restart it - wasn't able to put it in Neutral to pull it off the road - really! I'd like to meet the genius that put this design in place! I told the service rep to replace the tires since I had a 5 1/2 hour drive back...was informed by the service tech that the tires for my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee would have to be ordered and would take another 2 days to get. And she started to quote me a price for the tiers. I told them to forget putting the tires on my vehicle and I went to another tire dealer who had the tires in stock (and, BTW, were less expensive). I find it incredible that they would NOT stock a fuel pump or tires for one of highest selling model Jeeps. I find it incredible that the engineer that designed the vehicle would put BOTH fuel pumps on one fuse circuit; and would not allow you to take the vehicle out of Park to be towed. I find it incredible that a fuse blowing would take out both fuel pumps...after all, what are fuses for? I find it incredible that it would take over one day of a service technician to diagnose that the problem was a fuel pump. Have never been so disappointed with a vehicle; from engineering, to customer service, to repair techs, to parts availability, to road side service. And of course, their lapse of repair techs and parts became my problem...instead of standing up and making it right for the customer. I had to pay for 2 nights of hotel rooms, meals and gas to make the trip home and back; and was never offered reimbursement of any kind. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER JEEP or ANY OTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT since their service on every level failed! Oh, and don't even bother to try to get ahold of Chrysler corporate management - they hide in a bunker.

I really wish I could give this vehicle a great review but unfortunately after having it in the shop 6 times and still the same issue, I am left with a 60 thousand dollar lemon. Something in the back suspension area makes a rattle/loose wobble sound when I’m going over a small crack on the road or speed bumps. Very frustrating for a brand new Jeep to be making this sound and very frustrating that between 2 shops that they are not able to figure out what it is. Parts have been replaced, I’ve been told it’s the spare tire........ one guy was super confident on what it was and after I got it back it still wasn’t fixed, so now I’m just stuck with it. Truly disappointing. I’ve always had Toyota’s and Hyundai’s, never an issue at all. Now I get a Jeep and no one can do anything for me. Disappointing to say the least.

New car many issues: cabin noises and poor assembly, electronic bugs (frozen screen, check engine, sunroof controls), very bumpy suspension (stiff like sporty BMW on run flats but poor steering), service is unreliable and low quality. Read Jeep forums before buying, owners complain a lot! Jeep does not care about consumers and ignores even safety issues.

This turned out to be a perfect vehicle for my lifestyle. It's my daily driver and I have accumulated over 28k miles in last 9 months of ownership. I have had zero issues during this time. Very well composed chasis for and excellent ride quality. I haven't had an occasion to drive off road yet so and all my driving is city and hwy. Seats are firm yet comfortable and suspension response is great. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase

Jeep is the original and still King of SUV's

My first Jeep and I'm so glad I took a chance to experience what so many love about this brand. I have the Altitude 2WD in the Granite Crystal Metallic and i get compliments on the color. V6 is more than adequate for daily driving and can absolutely get me in trouble quickly on the highway! Great comfortable and solid ride and handling. Fuel efficiency above what I expected for a vehicle this size and weight. Absolutely enjoy the experience and very happy with the purchase so far. I've inspired a few of my colleagues to join the GC family since I purchased in March '20. Looking forward to seeing what the '22 2 row redesign looks like! UPDATE: I leased my '20 Altitude 2wd in March '20 (my first lease as i had some concerns about long term reliability). I'm happy to say I'm thoroughly satisfied with the vehicle - 45k miles now and trouble free except for 1 repair (replaced the radio control unit under warranty 9 months in) - original plan was to turn in next month when lease ends and get a new one - plan has changed to purchase and keep it. I was stopped in '21 and an Altima rear ended me going about 30mph - front end of Altima was torn up but Jeep had only $1,500 in damage (didn't even do any damage to bumper or sensors from being hit that hard - only replaced valence panel under bumper and paint touch up) - Love the feeling of being in a mid-size solid SUV, especially on the crazy South FL roads - this year was still using the older Mercedes ML platform so you can tell it is a solid vehicle. Most of my driving is highway and love the ride, comfort and overall versatility - V6 is sufficient for my needs. I have the liquid Granite metallic paint and i get compliments often - looks amazing whether pulling into a valet or out in the country. With the mileage I am starting to notice a slight pulsing when hitting the brakes hard on the highway - dealer looked at it and said the rotors are slightly warped (the advisor wouldn't come right out and say it but I got the impression this may be a common problem and Jeep may be using lesser quality rotors on some of their vehicles. I'm already planning to turn the rotors when I get new tires soon. Despite this, I'm a Jeep fan and now understand why there is such a following for these products - I know the new design GC's are out but frankly I still like my (now former) style better. I would even consider a future purchase of a Wrangler for a weekend 'fun' vehicle.

I bought a 2020 Limited a month ago. I traded in a 2017 crew cab Silverado LTZ and wanted something with the same options. I have driven a truck for 25 years and was afraid I wouldn’t like the GC due to its size. I have been happy with it so far and grown used to the smaller size and cabin. It has all the options my truck did and a few more. The 4x4 took some getting used but I’ve discovered it goes anywhere. Most of my miles are highway and the gas mileage is as advertised.

Our Grand Cherokee is all we hoped it would be. The Jeep family of owners are a different breed of folks. The car holds the road well and corners exceptionally well. Engine power is great.

our car we have loved but we are not happy because we are having trouble with the transmission, it is shifting on its own. I saw that the 15-17 they are recalling for this problem , but not the 18 but we are having the same problems. Its scary

Purchased new in early 2021. This car has had significant electrical problems that resulted in the touchscreen being unavailable, the backup camera not working and other issues. The dealer said nothing was wrong with the system, however these problems continued for months. The issue seemed to resolve itself after about 18 months. The vehicle had a sunroof leak due to a missing drain tube; it took weeks to get the part. The safety systems on the car do not function well. The blind spot monitoring system goes off when there is nothing there, not to mention it is very loud and annoying. The adaptive cruise control is terrible, it will run up on another vehicle before hitting the brakes hard, alternatively when you pull out to go around the slower car it will accelerate very hard even before you get in the other lane. The high beam headlights on this car are useless, you are better off using the low beams and the driving lights (the car is equipped with the optional light package). The navigation system was severely outdated for a new car, road changes that had been made years before did not show. The navigation often takes you the wrong way and then has you make a u-turn to correct it, other times it just takes you to the wrong place. The automatic climate control does not work, it will be quite hot and yet the system will circulate almost no air, same if it is cold; we end up having to run it manually. The driver's side window squeals very loudly when you put it up and down, again the dealer says there is nothing wrong with it. Gas mileage leaves something to be desired at 21 mpg local, and 22.5 mpg highway, this is compared to 25.5 mpg local and 28 mpg highway on a Kia Telluride. The back seat knee space is very poor and there is very little cargo space behind the second row given the size of the car. This is one of the worst vehicles I have ever owned, I cannot wait to get rid of it.

After much research and deliberation we decided on the Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude. The Jeep has all the bells and whistles and yet still retains LOW RANGE 4X4, unlike most new SUV/CUVs. With the 5.7L Hemi, it scoots along quite well and gets acceptable gas mileage.

The Grand Chero

Rented a 2019 grand cherokee years ago for a trip from Indiana to Texas. Wasn't actually expecting the grand cherokee but ended up with it as the rented vehicle wasn't returned yet. Now I've owned a Ford mustang, Honda civic, Mitsubishi eclipse, dodge Dakota, Ram 1500, 3 chevy Silverados, f250, and two toyota tacomas mostly in that order. With a family the tacomas obviously weren't cutting it. I could go through the bushes of Alaska with my trd off road but wasn't even comfy to ride in and was super cramped. Only downfall in my opinion. Now, I said all that to be going back to the grand cherokee. The ride comfortability was by far the best I've been around. And the cabin space and trunk space really impressed me. The reclining back seats also made it super comfy to take a nap next to the baby in the car seat in the back while the wife drove. Gas was good consumption. Technology was above and beyond. Now to the negatives in my own personal opinion. I ended up buying a 2020 because the reliability and quality year was recommended. However, noticed paint bubbling in some areas of the hood. Rust may be a concern for chrystler still as has been in the past. We shall see. The pricing is up there, but it is a bigger suv with some luxury and off road tied in so expected. Still would of loved getting a trailhawk trim vs my limited trim. Just because I love having tow hooks and tow hitch with the higher quadra-drive 4x4 package and air lift with the skid plates. I go off road sometimes and the snow in the north can get deep deep. We shall see what the quadra-trac 2 system does compared to my trd off road package I had before. So I'm hopeful for a good snowy winter review. My recommended opinion. Gotta try and test drive. I am very happy so far. Heated everything, leather and the second best 4x4 system jeep offers. Bring it jack frost!

So many issues with this car

So many issues with my 2020 Grand Cherokee.70000km (44000miles). Where to begin: -EGR cooler & EGR valve replacement $ 2,200.00 -Both banks camshaft replacement and repair - One under warranty $ 3,500.00 -Stop/Start doesn't work properly -Headlight replacement $ 90.00 -Screen flickers...Works but sometimes flickers. I don't even want to know how much that will be. Stay away from this car. and buy an Acura. I had an 2013 MDX with ZERO issues for 7 years. just oil changes/breaks and tires.
