Used 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD 4dr SUV (4.0L 6cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
Don't believe ConsumerReports.org rating
I was very hesitant to purchase the Grand Cherokee Limited due to the low ratings it received from ConsumerReports.org, but after test driving the car and going over the specifications personally, I have no doubt that this is a great SUV. The quality is great, and the value is even greater. I do have to admit that I am a slave to great marketing, but everything a Jeep represents it can do, I now have the option of doing so.
It Only Gets Better and Better
I replaced my 93 Grand Cherokee Ltd (110k miles)with this 2004 Grand Cherokee Ltd 8 cyl. It is classy, rides like a dream, and makes heads turn. Altho it is not good on gas- I could care less--it's a pleasure to drive and puts you back in the seat when you need to pass.

just purchased,,why did i wait so long?
i just puchased the jeep and am wondering why i waited so long? i want to sleep in this thing! great pick up, stylish, comfortable and not to bad on gas. can't wait to get it muddy. explorer was to big, trailblazer was to poorly made, so i bought my first jeep. love every mile i put on it!
Happy with the Jeep
Recently sold my Lexus GX470 to buy the GGC Limited (had to cut back due to having a 1972 Bimmer restored). I was really planning to buy an Infiniti QX4, but a Jeep on a lot caught my eye. never thought I would buy a Jeep after hearing negative stories. Very happy so far. Not the ride of the Lexus, but I actually enjoy the more rugged feel and the V8 Throaty engine. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of interior and the overall experience.
Good Jeep
My wife and I purchased our GC LTD new and have generally enjoyed it. It has a nice smooth ride, and with the 4.7L V- 8, accelerates very quickly. My wife drives mainly in town and averages 14MPG, though on longer trips we have averaged as high as 23 MPG. We have had some recurrent problems, such as with window seals shrinking and front brake rotor problems. Jeep replaced the front brakes a couple of years ago under recall and have had no problems since, including no brake dust! We also had a heated seat burn through, but with some fighting Jeep repaired the seat. Overall, I would recommend the Grand Cherokee.
