You gotta love this car!
This car has been an unbelievable pleasure from the day I bought it. I bought it with 60,000 miles on it 3 years ago. It has been totally reliable, and garners a lot of attention. People often take pictures of it. I have a 95 Mercedes E320 sedan with a lot less mileage that has been a total lemon. The Jag is twice the car. I doubt that I will ever sell this car. Sometimes I just stare at it's beautiful coachwork. It is truly a work of art. If you can find a low mileage 94-96 XJS convertible buy it!
95 Vanden Plas
Bought this for my wife on her last birthday. Looked for 6 months for the right car and this is it. She loves everything about it. I steal it or should say I trade cars with her sometimes just for the fun of driving it. Many good comments from strangers about it's classic beauty. Wanted one for years but never look seriously. Only negative thing and it's not a biggie is the drivers area is a bit small

Very satisfied
Great ride, dependable looks great no problems, security system excellent have had BMWs Mercedes this is much more fun and great on long rides and short
Excellent vehicle
Bought this car as a second car while looking for a S model Mercedes. Always loved the style and have been very impressed by the qualilty. We have a e 300 turbodeisel and I love the Jag far better. Gives luxury with a golve like feel to the car. Very dependable with excellent mileage and road handling. Just completed a 900 mile road trip with no fatigue.
Loved too Long
Owned the Jag for 21 years. Loved it. Electronics and radio gradually failed. Some repair parts discontinued. Best driver I ever owned. Resale value dropped over the years. For Sale @ $4,000. Low mileage (60,000), cold A/C new shocks, front suspension bearings, headliner.

I Love this Car
Best car I've ever owned! Performance is great, strong engine and flawless transmission. Never had any mechanical problems with it in over 150,000 miles. The looks are classic - I get compliments everywhere I go and people think it's much newer than it really is. The car is built very solid and is strong. The gas mileage is lower than smaller cars, but I averaged 22 mpg on the highway, and 17 during city driving, which isn't bad considering all the power it has. I clean the throttle body each year or two; otherwise, it gets gummed up a little. Other than that, it's been just regluar fluid and filter changes which are very easy to do. All around great car!
Perfect car
I bought this car in 1997 and car had 7500 miles. I was looking for sport car, but dealer was able to convince me to buy Jaguar. What a great choice. I still love this car even after 12 years of owning it. During this time I had 2 Mercedes and two BMW, all of which were driven by me and mostly by my wife and all of them were returned back to dealers at the end of lease. Jaguar still stays with me. At this point it's worth really nothing, but the way it drives, none of listed above could even get closer. The only non original parts on this car is rear shocks and battery. Of course filters and tires. My teenager is begging me to get another car and get him this one. He loves it too.
A silky Feline
I bought this XJ 6 on E bay in Chicago and drove it home, the car was incredibly comfortable , 25 MPG on the trip, silky smooth to drive , and a joy to own. It had 82000 miles on it when purchased and now has 108000 .The battery is the only thing i have changed, it was the original battery from new. It is still a joy to drive. I do preventative maintenance and take care of scheduled service, this is my 5th Jag, I have owned Mercedes and BMW , all were problem cars , My Jags have been reliable and wonderfull to drive. They are very exclusive cars.
Hands Down Best Used Jaguar
Purchased new off the Dealer Lot in 1995. Since then she has travled 114,095 miles. There are ZERO problems with the car...starts first time, every time. The Auto shifts like a bullet, and the A/C still blows VERY chilled air.
Elegance with power
This is my third Jaguar and by far the best. Suspension is excellent, and handling outstanding. The cooling system works efficiently, unlike my previous V12. Very effective brakes with strong acceleration, especially in 'sport' mode. Great tourer for two!!
A Great Cat
A great car, looks good drives very well and draws comments where ever I go. It has performed flawlessly and runs well at all speeds.
Love this car
I've owned many high end imports, but the Jag is my all time favorite. What a car. I bought it used with around 60k on it. It has 83k on it and other then replacing tires and changing the oil, it's required zero repairs. Everything works as it should including all electronics. It's deceptively fast and is the best looking car around.
1995 Jag XJ6 Naturally Aspirated
Some think the reliability for these older series Jags is not great. Most things are this way if they are mistreated or neglected. From my own experience in the past year, mine is a powerhouse! The engine is such a strong well vibrating one. It is an inline format engine so, that actually is better for vibrations and other mechanical noise compared to a V format. Mine still needs TLC. Not everything is excellent yet ( as far as repairs go). The rear shocks are bad yet still is a buttery smooth ride. I find most components not difficult to change yourself. Mainly the routine maintenance and sensors. The 4-speed Auto with Overdrive Transmission is a good one. I would like to upgrade to a 6 speed Auto or maybe a modern 8 speed Auto if able to without changing too much computer reprogramming or wire harness. Fuel Economy It is equal to or slightly better than my 2006 Chevrolet Impala. Travelling 80 Mile while flooring up to near 120 MPH at times only 1/8th tank consumed from Full. (Premium Unleaded Fuel Only) Stopping Power is great for being the OEM setup. I did a road test (0-60) 10.01 seconds best so far. It stopped okay for beeing original brake system. The Engine is rated at 245 HP which is less due to restriction I think from something I read. Brake HP is at according to Torque Pro, Max (not average) 375 BHP at 4000 something RPM. I will do a Dyno Test to confirm this calculation. The build quality of the exterior is excellent for being almost 25 years old. The interior is good quality also. The seating I am comfortable driving. Yet, I would fall asleep in the rear as a passenger. Te headroom in rear bad. I stand 5'6" I reach the headliner. Sitting in rear right side it is still comfortable. You must take into consideration A Jag is a low sports-style vehicle. They are not known to make a rugged off-terrain truck. Jeep me, please! Overall for this specific motion of art, it is a joy to own and drive. Driving in rain weather, mine will handle okay currently yet, I will change braking and suspension in the future.

95 XJS Still fun
Sleek look and fun to drive. Handles best when use high perf tires with flat profile (more rubber and firmer cornering). Constant compliments daily! One of the top 2 cars I have owned. I do believe I will keep it for the remainder!
'95 xjs conv.
This car is a joy to own. It is without question an awesome uncommon machine.
Like it so much, I bought a second one
Fantastic car! Extremely reliable! Parts, except electronic modules, available at reasonable price, a lot cheaper than Japanese car's counterpart. Engine is powerful and without any drawbacks. It is a sporty family car, but not a rally type. Classical British conception and design.
AUTO REVIEW
LOKS AND RUNS SUPERB
1995 Jaguar XJ6
This is the 3rd Jag I've owned(1976, 1982 and 1995) and by far it is the best one yet. However, it still lags in build quality and performance when compared to the other 4 Infiniti Q45s I have owned. The XJ6 interior is cramped and there is something every month that needs attention and $ to keep it in order. The only reason I am a glutten to this punishment is because there is not a better looking car out there. The car reminds me of an old girlfriend, high maintenace but hotter than hell good looks.
Vanden Plas -- Modern Classic
Smooth 245 hp straight six not quite up to task of propelling this heavy car at the rate it deserves. Some components are fragile, but the old electrical & cooling system demons seem to have been exorcised. Don't hobble a fast $68K luxury touring "saloon" car with $45 bargain tires! Being seen in this beauty is one of life's guilty pleasures.
95 XJS: It's Not A Car: It's A Relationship!
Considerably cheap to buy, but expensive to own, the 1995 XJS Coupe is not for the faint of heart. In the current trend of today's vehicles which, to me, are all starting to look like different versions of Toyota Rav 4s, the '95 JAGUAR XJS COUPE is for the driver who appreciates the classic lines and aerodynamic styling of a low-slung grand touring machine which holds a leather and walnut interior more akin to a gentleman's library than a sports car wannabe. The coupe maintains the magnificent flow of the rear "flying butresses", which are lost on the convertible model. The hood, or "bonnet", as it is called by anglophile jargoneers, provides a long, contoured and sloping face under which; depending on the model you buy, an inline 4 liter 6 cylinder or 5.0 V12 cylinder engine growls out its power. There are two bucket seats up front and a well appointed but totally impractical back seat. The trunk... plenty of room. Repairs and maintenance... A COMMITTMENT. If you are thinking of owning, be prepared to be a conservator....and be prepared to have a blast driving.

xj12
This is the best car I have ever owned I have had Rolls Royces, corvettes, cadillacs. There is no comparison to the speed and comfort of the xj12.
1995 - 4DXJ6 Sedan
Bought car with 30,000 mi. and now have 70,000 and have only put gas & oil in it. I have had Mercedes and Cadillacs and this is by far the nicest in every respect. I think I am going to buy a newer model soon.
Meeting high expectations
Would I pay $50K+ for a new one? Nope...just wait a few years and take advantage of the hilarious depreciation. Great cars. 124K on the meter and I've replaced the front shocks (which were a full third LESS expensive than those on my Mazda). Small quibbles with some of the interior pieces... cup holders, mirrors - and assorted rattles. These are irrelevant considering the low price I paid for this car and my overall satisfaction with it. Many nice touches and fantastic good looks. Actually my wife drives it and thinks she's queen of the world - she might be right.
Can't get enough
I've owned this car for 12 years, love it! Looking for another one, very minor service issues, the 1995 was a great model build,
