Used 2013 Jaguar XF Consumer Reviews
Best car ever owned
Classy body style that didn't change much over the years so it's still impressive looking 11 years later! Doing regular maintenance meant I never had a single breakdown or unexpected problem. Love the quality leather seats, even the back of the seat is leather, and double stitched dash and doors. Such quality you don't see in anything under $80,000 these days. Smooth shifting and acceleration with 385 horsepower V8. It even sounds sexy when it starts, for a luxury sedan not trying to be a sports car. Comfortable seats, great handling... one of Jaguars best ever vehicles. Sadly, mine just got hit tonight and totaled. Thankfully not my fault and everyone was safe and unharmed. So there's that too, it took the impact like a champ. I loved it and was hoping to keep it longer.

A Portfolio to Travel With...
I bought this Jag two years ago and have never regretted it. This model year was the last with a non-turbo V-8 option. The Portfolio edition has every bell and whistle I care about on the creature comfort side. The 5.0 liter V-8 provides incredible acceleration. The cornering and braking are remarkable. On two lane blacktop country roads, it simply cuts through effortlessly. I have had zero maintenance issues over two years and 10,000 miles of mostly local and longer distance pleasure driving. I replaced the original Continental tires with a set of Goodyear Eagle tires and I like the feel as well as the low level of road noise in the cabin. On long highway trips with the cruise set at 74 mph I average 26 mpg. Predictably, around town mostly averaging 20-25 mph I only get 16-18 mpg. I was fortunate to buy this with only 26,000 miles on it. When I retire in a couple of years I should be right around 40-45,000 miles. I am betting that this cat will be good for many years of enjoyable driving as my wife and I enjoy our vacations in the southeast.

Do not buy this car
Jaguar should be ashamed. I have only owned high end cars and this car has been a money pit. Car has 45,000 miles and has had to have the following replaced: alternator, water pump and neck; valve gasket; vacuum pump and has had a host of electronic issues. Always babied snd garage kept. Have had $6500 in repairs the last 2 years alone. My family has the same car and has similar problems with it. We will never buy another one which is a shame because the car is do pretty snd we love driving it. Don’t get me wrong. We have always paid $$$$$ for regular servicing but to have these very expensive needless repairs due to cheaply made parts at such low mileage is outrageous. Not to mention it taking two years of continual persistence to get any reasonable reply from the manufacture. Very poor customer service loyalty.

Gentleman ‘s Sports Car
Bought this one with low mileage on line. Picked it up and drove 1900 miles getting home. Car drove and handled very well. Has a few quirks to work thru but my overall experience has been pleasant.

Wouldn’t buy another one I’ve had to replace water pump , sensor on a regular, always at the shop. Replaced gear shifter knob wouldn’t turn was stuck in park then stuck in Drive . Fuel pump will go out for sure. This car runs good until something goes wrong which will happen trust me .
