Fuel Mizer
Unbelievable fuel economy; currently receiving 34mpg in town and 40mpg on highway at 70mph, computed against fuel receipts. Fuel economy continues to increase as miles accumulate, currently at 8500 miles. No cost option of 18" light weight rims and tires greatly improves ride with no effect on handling. Receives stares everywhere it is parked.Great handling in rural Tennessee mountains. No reliability issues to date. I hesitated to purchase but am totally satisfied and would do so again. Update at 16200 miles: vehicle continues to impress with fuel economy and cost of ownership. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat! Update at 22,000 miles: continuing to be impressed with the vehicle's performance; fuel mileage continues to improve-recent trip at 70mph yielded 41.5mpg. Driver seat still the most comfortable of any car I have owned.Up date at 30,000 miles: Fuel mileage continues to increase; City mileage up to 36mpg with highway holding at 39-40. Ride comfort improved as suspension loosens slightly. Wonderful having a vehicle with no cost maintenance for five years. Just reached the five year mark. So sad that Jaguar dropped the diesel option. I’d buy one again in a heartbeat. Finally receiving recognition from the automotive community by its five year depreciation of only 30% in the Southeast US. Now at 48000 miles all characteristics remain the same as previously noted. Ride improved by replacing original W speed rated original tires with H speed ratings. Still regret Diesel engine no longer available.

Timing chain broke, destroyed engine
Timing chain broke at 80K miles destroying engine. Quoted $25K to replace. Timing chains should last a minimum 200K miles. This is a known problem with this engine and Jaguar won’t do a recall. Also I discovered there is a major issue with the turbos destroying the engine. Will never buy a Jaguar again.

Best car I have ever owned.
Great car that is a blast to drive, super quiet, very comfortable, and practical. Not one issue!!! If you have any mechanical background, you know how well this car is built. It is a steal right now at the current prices. It is a better buy then the mercedes, lexus, Porsche, Audi, BMW, or any other luxury SUV. Now that the full reviews have come out, all positive, I suspect it will be harder to find one with all the options you want. My family just loves it for long trips. I love it for the back roads.

What a nightmare!! DON'T BUY A JAGUAR!!!
Bought my 2017 F-Pace 20D new and have had nothing but problems. I've have it in over 24 times for issues like trim falling off, rear hatch wouldn't close, electrical issues, numerous engine issues. It's been in the shop now for over a month because the fuel rail cracked and when the shop replaced it, they sprayed diesel fuel all over the engine and now they can't get the smell out of it. And it's also gone in to "restricted performance" mode reducing the top speed of the vehicle to 20 MPH, very dangerous!! I initiated a "buyback" the the lovely people at Jaguar said it didn't qualify because it's not been in the shop for the same reason more that twice. No logic here!! I now have a lawyer involved.

Wanted something other than an SUV
I was looking for six months for the right car. I have driven SUVs the past 15 years. An AWD sedan was at the top of the list for fuel economy and performance. The FPace stumbled across my research. Once I saw the diesel's gas mileage, I had to give it a shot. An SUV that drives like a performance sedan yet has towing capacity and great gas mileage. The trifecta! Love this SUV!
