Read reviews. Drove it. Bought it. Still happy!
A longtime Subaru owner, I did my homework before upgrading to a hybrid and a Hyundai. Read numerous reviews, repair histories, performance characteristics, and vehicle specifications. Was seriously considering the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Honda CR-V Hybrid, and the larger Toyota Highlander Hybrid, unaware that the Tucson Hybrid was an option in this class. The Tucson Hybrid SEL has lived up to all of my expectations, e.g., handling, acceleration, traction control, ride, fuel efficiency, styling, and convenience features (though some of the touch controls are a bit too sensitive). The price-point and warranty are superior to all of the other vehicles I considered. At our 1-year anniversary and 23k miles we are still wholly satisfied with the purchase & highly recommend it to others.

What’s not there
No sunglasses holder, no fog lights and no power folding outside mirror. (Had all of these on my 2019 Soul; a $25,000 car!) Manual is 600 pages and has no detail on setting up gps. Multiple screens are not self explanatory and take weeding through to get to where you want; manual is little help. Other than that, a great car!

First Hyundai - First Hybrid
We were luck to get one of the last Tucson’s in the lot. Sales Rep was great. Vehicle was more roomy than I expected. Lots to learn as this vehicle operates so differently than past vehicles we’ve owned. Very impressive warranty. We were amazed at how busy the dealership was. Vehicles are gone as quickly as they arrive. We went looking for a different model. They were all old out. Doubt we’ll have any regrets getting a hybrid instead. Toyota might lose all our business in the future.

The Tucson Secret
We had a test drive of the 2022 Tucson Hybrid (May 2021) and it is a very good car in all the respects of what people are saying with the exception of the secret. This issue is shared by many other small to midsized SUV's. AND no one that reviews them points this out! The passenger seat does not lower equal to the driver seat. Therefore, the headroom listed for the front seats in the manufactures websites is wrong. Every reviewer that prints the manufactures front seat headroom without verifying it is not doing their job. This may not be a big issue for everyone, however every mom or dad over 6' tall that buys one of these for his son or daughter is in for a big surprise when she/he goes for a ride. The manufactures and the reviewers need to be honest about the details of the automobile they sell or review. Most potential customers look-up this information when considering a purchase. I will probably still buy a 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid because they look great, ride great and are a good value for the price. I do, however, expect the information provided to be accurate!

Eh
Nice looking interior. Exterior is subjective. The ride is ok, nothing like the hype you read about or the YouTube videos (all paid advertisements). If you want certain features, you're stuck with the high priced Limited version. And the higher end trims don't even support wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. There are tons of them now on the lots near me and they're over-priced for what you're getting. The ride refinement is simply not there as you would expect. And of course, you're in for a shock when you realize after buying it that there's no spare tire. Disappointing. The Limited trim should be closer to $33k. Simply overpriced, I should have waited.

Nice SUV But….
Purchased a new 2022 Tucson Hybrid and have had it for a week. Great ride and interior but, a couple of little things that are annoying! When in reverse, there is a warning ‘beep’ that is required by law. However, it is so loud, I’m afraid it will wake up my neighbors in the morning as it sounds like a construction truck backing out of my driveway. Also, the media system can be set for numerous “user profiles”, which is great as my wife prefers different types of music than I do. However, to change a “user profile”, the Tucson must be in park and not moving?! Very annoying if I want to listen to my music and I forget to switch to my “user profile” before driving.

Step back after HYUNDAI I40.
Now I have HYUNDAI TUCSON HYBRID, which replaced HYUNDAI I 40. What's good: silent, good acceleration What disappointed: It is not possible to turn off the linear support system, the hand-free system calls without a question "Do you really want to call XXXX? , as a result - many wrong calls. After the 12000 km needed to visit a the service, the car starts braking during the trip and only turning off / on the engine helps to continue the journey

Great value!
I’ve never considered a Hyundai before but came away extremely impressed especially after test driving a RAV4 hybrid. Only gripe is I wish automatic braking in reverse was starndard.

Nice but…
Too many controls via touch screen, an unfortunate trend in today’s high tech cars. Very quiet, smooth ride but some sharp kicks on broken pavement, probably accentuated by low profile tires. Great seats! I forgot to ask whether it has a spare tire, which is a non- negotiable item. Acceleration not impressive.

Aging too fast!
This car cannot withstand the rest of time. The transmission is rough- it jerks and grinds when trying to shift. The steering wheel shakes between 55-62mph. The “refill inverter coolant” light was coming on all of the time. I had it in the shop twice for this. Then the gas door got jammed shut and could only be opened with a screwdriver. I took it in for repair and they refused to fix it until the recall for the inverter fluid light was fixed. I’m so frustrated with this car. It functions like it is 12 years old! This is is my first and last Hyundai.

Fell in love in 10 minutes
Two years ago I traded in my beloved 2012 Subaru Outback for a Tucson Hybrid Limited in Amazon Gray. 10 minutes after leaving the dealership, I had a new fav. The Tucson Hybrid had a more comfortable ride and more power than the Outback. The advanced safety features were worth every penny. The styling elicited many favorable comments. Mileage may not be the best in its class, but 36 mpg ain’t bad.

Excellent Choice
We took delivery of our Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited in May 2022. We have taken one long trip for our annual summer vacation. Great for long drives. Excellent seats, information system and climate control. One arrives rested. Fun to drive on the highway. We mostly do urban driving. We purchase the limited white exterior with light gray interior. We considered Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Venza and Lexus NX Hybrid. We choose the Hyundai because of the overall design. The efficiency of the interior space and design are much better than that of the Toyotas and Lexus. Similar exterior length, yet the Hyundai Tucson has greater interior space. The 10.25 inch information screen is integrated into the beautiful dash. While on the Toyota it looks like a monitor on a. desk. The attention to detail rivals more expensive competition. The SUV is fast when one wants to go fast. Going from 60 to 70 plus on the highway is quick and fun. The Tucson Hybrid is very quiet. The Bose audio system is great. I have owned Mercedes and Lexus - never owned a car before that I am 100% happy. No problems to date. In summary the Tucson Hybrid Limited we own is very comfortable, spacious, dependable and fun to drive. The fuel economy is good to very good depending on how you drive. We love our 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited. Great SUV.

My tucson
I have to say I love my Car. I decided on a Hybrid and did not regret it. It is beautiful inside and out.
No lights
What I absolutely don’t like about my car (2022 Tucson Hybrid) is when you command start it there’s no lights at all anywhere on the car to confirm that it is running. You literally have to watch it blink three times to know for sure.

Never purchased a Hyundai before. This was an amazing surprise. Great value. Nice interior materials. Sharp graphics on instrument cluster. Pitted against a RAV4 and came away impressed with the Tucson.
