stops accelerating
I bought 2019 hyundai tuscon about 2 m0nths ago, everything is great about the suv except for ONE THING. I was driving to N.H to my vacation, i had driven about 130 miles when a message came on the screen saying" time to take a break and have a cup of coffee" about 3 minutes later same message came on the screen, i ignored the message and kept driving, thinking nothing of it, about 2 minutes later, the suv STOPPED accelerating, iwas going about 70 mph and thank G-D was in the right lane so i could pull over, if not would have been a very serious accident. I then got out my ABBRIDGED manual to find an eplanation for this, it was NOT even metioned, i then took out my regular 200 page manual and after 30 minutes found the section explaining this, it fell under DAW drivers alert warning and explained how to DEACTIVATE this FEATURE which i did and it only took 2 pushes of 2 different buttons. I did report this to hyundai corp. HQ and they "why didnt you stop and take a break", they explained it was a FEATURE to "prevent you from falling a sleep". Are you kidding me? The salesman never mentioned this FEATURE. I suggested they put a 'Warning" somewhere on the dashboard or the first page pf the abridged manual. and they just poo pood it.
It's just ok.
The car is very basic. Oddly, there is no place on the hatch door to tie a rope. I'm trying to move a piece of furniture that is just a bit too long for the car. In my old car, I padded the furniture and tied a rope to keep the hatch door almost closed and to keep it from moving. The Tucson has no handle or any place to thread a rope to keep the door from flopping around. I called my dealer and their response was "we don't know, keep looking". This is a small issue but pointless deficiency. Also, the car does not have a compass. I live in an area where GPS is often lost. I will not buy a Hyundai again. It's not a customer friendly car. There is no pick up, but it runs.

Disappointing Rental
Drove one for a week on the island of Oahu on all kinds of roads. Found it to be underpowered, with a transmission that could not decide between gears, and thus would downshift and then upshift with small pressure on the accelerator. Lots of engine noise and anemic pickup. Cheap interior and dated controls. Not much fun to drive. Would avoid in future rentals. I normally drive a BMW X-1, and the difference in price would not be worth it.

Great SUV for the money!
My wife and I really enjoy our 2019 Tucson SE AWD. We've lived all over the US and driven this vehicle in snow throughout the Mid-West and New England. Where we currently live in New England, everyone owns a Subaru because of their snow/mud capabilities. I owned two Subarus before our Tucson and have never regretted our Tucson purchase. In fact, our Tucson has handled the snow and mud exceptionally well -- without issue. The warranty of Hyundai is great, too, which gives us peace of mind. Overall, we are extremely pleased and will continue to point folks to the Tucson. You can't go wrong!
