This is my first 4x4 and I am very pleased with its performance. We just had a foot of snow and I was able to pull right out of my parking spot without using a shovel. It handles very well and with the leather package and CD player I feel like I'm in a luxury vehicle.

I got the GLS 2.7 with the moonroof and the ski rack. I love it. It's so much fun to drive. The stock stereo rocks and it gets so much better gas miliage than my truck. I am very pleased with my purchase. I'd recomment it to anyone that wants a stylish SUV that is fun to drive under $25k.

My review is based on my past experience with cars. I currently drive a Lexus LX470, Accord, Lexus LS, and a Audi 90 Q (the audi I actually gave up a long time ago and it sits in my garage). As for qulaity, from the short time I had it is SUPERB ! I thought only the Japanese could deliver this level of quality. My first Korean import and I am happy though I do worry about the significant portion from Canada (bad experiences in the past with Canadian parts). The fit and finish is right up there with the rest of my cars. I would not mind paying for extra safety features such as side impact air bags and a safety cage. A XM radio with USB MP3 feature would be great. Less Curves.

Great car, good milage for a SUV. Fun to drive. Graet front, rear and side vision. We picked the Santa Fe after test driving the Kia and found the Kia to ride rough and have a cheap interior.

This is my SUV to own and I have been really pleased. This is my second Hyundai thought. I had a 2001 Sonata and traded it for the Santa Fe. Its fun to drive and handles well.

It's easy to drive with little care. I especially like the feature where you can phone when there's a problem; however, I used it falsely when getting a warning light only because I didn't twist the gas cap three times. It's very sturdy, easy to handle and very comfortable on long distance trips.

The Sante Fe is the best vechicle we have owned in a long time. It handles really well in the snow. And onlong trips it is very comfortable to ride in.The overall mechanical perforamce is exellent. We have had alot of people comment on the looks of it. And alot of people ask us all about it overall. My family loves this vechicle. Thank you for making suce a wonderful suv.Sincerly The Odland family.

After many hours of searching for the replacement for our 98 Windstar mini- van. We decided that the best option was a smaller sized SUV. We have 2 children but no longer needed the room for car seats/strollers/etc... The Santa Fe was the perfect fit. I drive over 80 miles a day during the week...and probably another 80 combined on Sat & Sun...so I need something reliable and comfortable to drive. I'm thrilled with my choice!!

So far so good. I have not owned my vehicle for that long, but there are alot of little added features that are really cool. For example, the way the cargo area is designed with compartments to store tools. The SUV has a very solid feel. When I picked up the SantaFe and brought it home I noticed the map light was out and it had a slight paint chip near the door. I reported it to the service dept., and brought the vehicle back the following week. The service center and my salesman were unbelievably accommodating, which was a very refreshing and unique experience.

First SUV and love it. Two babies to haul around and still lots of room left over. Affordable and gas mileage is great. My parent have owned Grand Marquis for the past 20 years, loved this car so much that they now own one and love it as much as I do.

We love our Sante Fe. Lot's of rooom. We got the LX -- it feels like a luxury vehicle with the leather and heated seats. We can get a LOT of stuff and people in our suv. We've taken it on several road trips and camping trips.

The dealership was very fair. I was able to get TMV price on the auto without a problem and zero% for five years sold me. The auto has smooth and powerful pick up. Soft ride with good handeling. The inside is cockpit like but comfortable. Got to love all the standard features. The leather with heated seats and mirrors a must.

Bought this SUV intending to use it for my work vehicle. My wife has taken it away from me because it rides and drives so well with lots of creature comforts. For less than $20K after rebate, - we got lots of nice standard features, moonroof, 6/CD. trailer hitch, etc. So far, the vehicle has done great - almost 6K miles. Too bad Hyundai is not building a pick-up truck based on this model. The service/maintenance requirements are pretty reasonable - I took the car in early for the first service - the $125 dealership price was steep but the list of what was done was pretty comprehensive.

the v-6 has lots of get up and go. i drive a lot and love the vehicle. do not like the a/c unit or the windshield wipers. the wipers don't work fast enough in florida downpours but with rainx it is fine. a/c is designed so does not blow in the face and personally i prefer it to be in the face.

It is a brand new experience for my family. The ride is comfy like a car, yet you are elevated like a truck. It is classy without being snobby. You can see out of all windows. Ther is mucho leg-room, which is important for my husband.

I actually own a 2002 Santa Fe. It's one of the best cars I've ever owned. I live lived in upstate ny all my life. We had a horrible winter last year. Snow falls up to 24" 2 weeks in a row. Never once spun the tires. The car perfomred perfectly and I didn't even have to use the AWD. Impressed by that and its overall reliability. Great ride and economical for a SUV. I would not hesitate in buying another.

I researched and research and test drove and test drove and finally settled on the Santa Fe. Boy am I happy. Her name is Carmen and she runs just like a dream. I am looking forward to many happy years driving her.

With two little children, I needed a midsized suv that made me and my children feel safe. This is a cute, heavy duty truck that drives like a car. The interior is great and I don't take a beating at the pump!!

My husband and I went looking and test drove a few and with his severe back injuries could not find one that was comfortable for him, until he sat in the Santa Fe, he said this is the one. This is my first suv and I am loving it, roomy and fairly economical. We love it and I like it better than driving his 30+ thousand trans sport van.

i have found the sana fe to be a very good car this is our second however i have been having a problem with the paint since day 1 the clear coat keeps bubbling in places i had a heck of a time to get them to repaint the hood were it was the worst now i have a place the passenger door where it is doing the same thing

We purchased our Sante Fe to tow behind our new motorhome, and needed a vehicle that would accomodate our 3 puppies as well. WE LOVE IT! It has met all of our expectations and was a GREAT BUY!

The power and ride of the Santa Fe GLS with the larger 3.5L engine is fantastic. There is no hesitation at all. I averaged about 20 mpg on my first tank with a combination of city & highway driving. This is slightly better than I had expected for such a large engine.

I have owned may cars including BMW, Audi, Land Rover and more. The '04 Santa Fe has exceeded my expectations with quality and comfort. It's reliable and eye catching. I get lots of compliments from people who think my car is brand new. No mechanical, exterior or interior problems. Gas mileage isn't great, but most SUV's aren't. Get the larger 3.5L engine for the the best experience.

Purchased a 2004, 3.5, GLS AWD Santa Fe about a week ago. I'm sure we made the right choice. We looked at Ford Escape, Honda CRV, Tribute and RAV 4. None rode as comfortably. Very smooth handling. Feels solid, too. A few minor quibbles about the interior--the armrest is too low, the windshield's angle picks up some weird glare in certain sunlight conditions and the cup holders could be better placed. Of course if you've looked at the Santa Fe you know that gas mileage is terrible. But we liked the ride so much that we simply pledged to walk a little more and drive a little less to conserve some fuel.

The Santa'fe is an all around great suv. It's perfect in all conditions; whether on snow, mud, rain, or sand it has never let me down. The inside is full of confort and space. The outside has a bold and husky look. It's a very sturdy ride but, not so rugged that you're bouncing all over the road. And that's good because, most of my driving is done on the highway. My last comment is on it's gas mileage. Mine gets 23 mpg. on average so, i can't see why someone would buy one of those other suv's that get only 12 to 18 mpg. It's a great buy! Try one out for yourself and you will not regret it.

This car is a wonderful vehicle for a decent price. I recently purchased a 4 cylinder, front wheel drive base model with the utility package included. I love the car, it looks great, runs great, and is pretty good on gas. The safety ratings for this car are out the roof. This car was recommended by consumer reports for safety and value.

I am 6 ft. tall and have lots of room to be comfortable. Works fine but have not had it long. Moved jack handle off jack and not a rattle or squeak since. If it stays this way can't ask for any better. One very small crab....mileage indicator hard to read in daytime.

I have had 4 Jeep Grand Cherokkes in 5 years and finally woke up to how much money I was wasting my last Jeep an 04 Grand Cherokee Overland lost 50% in 1 year thats more than the Santa Fe cost, mine is a 2.7V^ is great to drive has lots of space and is great fun, the build quality is better than Jeeps and the cabin is better finished the only down side is the radio and lack of power folding mirrors

Second we owned could have a better tires on it-they were out pretty fast. Otherwise suv is a good buy. STILL HAS THE SAME PROBLEM 2002 DID-HESitates on take off everonce in awhile.

I use to have a 2000 Mustang convertible and after having my Santa Fe for almost, oh my god I love it so much. Being only 19 thats really hard to do for a sports car to lose to an SUV, but man I love the fact of going off road a little and I still can open my moon roof for the great sun.There isn't much more that I can say but everyone should have one. They get great gas mileage.

Just got back from a 3500 mile trip with my Santa Fe and it ran flawlessly, I averaged 25-28MPG.
