So far Great. It is a comfortable quiet ride with awesome pick up. It is not too big and not too small and the kids have so much room in the back. The DVD player in the headrests is so cool with the cordless headphones. The woodgrain that was installed just makes the car look so rich. I've had lots of great comments about how great it looks. Mine is white and silver.

I have driven the Santa Fe over 3000 miles and it has been just a gem. I have to keep reminding myself that this is not a $30K+ SUV. My longest trip was 400 miles and I arrived very refreshed which was a pleasant surprise.
Better than my 3 past Ford Explorers!!!!

Love this SUV! I researched SUV's and tested them for three solid weeks before leasing this car! You can not beat the value of this SUV, and it is loaded!Leather, heat seats, moonroof and it is fast! Love the look and feel! I was hesitant of a Hyundai but could not pass this SUV up! I have leased three Ford Explorers for the past nine years and this car beats them all in all aspects! Ford cars have gone up in price and the quality down! Ford's service has also gone way down!! This car has quality at an unbeatable price and is better on gas! Faster than my Explorer and has a ten year warranty!

After doing serious small SUV research,the Santa Fe came out on top! It is well built, solid and fun to drive. The warranty is great as well...It's almost like buying the warranty and getting the SUV for free. We are looking forward to buying another one in 7 years when my oldest son gets his drivers license.

I did a lot of looking and research before I bought my 2004 Hyundai. I've owned Broncos,Bronco IIs,S-10s and my last SUV was an Explorer. I was impressed by the ride, the amenities and that fantastic warranty. I love driving this car, and in our Minnesota winters, the car handles like a dream with TCS and AWD. I'm not crazy about my gas mileage, but all things considered ,I have one fine automobile, and am planning on buying the new Hyundai SUV due out in 2006.

From changing out of a Honda Accord (4cylinder) into the 6 Cylinder Santa Fe is just no comparison. The Santa Fe outperforms the Accord in all areas. I've never been more satisfied with a car, than I am with the Santa Fe.

The one and only thing I wish this vehicle had was a little more pep. But dollar for dollar I think it is one of the best out there. I drove most all in this group before purchasing.

This is my first 4x4 and I am very pleased with its performance. We just had a foot of snow and I was able to pull right out of my parking spot without using a shovel. It handles very well and with the leather package and CD player I feel like I'm in a luxury vehicle.

My review is based on my past experience with cars. I currently drive a Lexus LX470, Accord, Lexus LS, and a Audi 90 Q (the audi I actually gave up a long time ago and it sits in my garage). As for qulaity, from the short time I had it is SUPERB ! I thought only the Japanese could deliver this level of quality. My first Korean import and I am happy though I do worry about the significant portion from Canada (bad experiences in the past with Canadian parts). The fit and finish is right up there with the rest of my cars. I would not mind paying for extra safety features such as side impact air bags and a safety cage. A XM radio with USB MP3 feature would be great. Less Curves.

We traded a Subaru Forester which we liked very much, but the Santa Fe's power, style, size and other features for the money made it irresistable. The quality is outstanding, and we appreciate the effort Hyundai has put into this SUV, to make it a superior purchase for us. John and Ellen Rumbach

I HAVE ONLY OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR A VERY SHORT TIME. HOWEVER, SO FAR I HAVE FOUND THE VEHICLE TO BE VERY EASY TO HANDLE, IT DRIVES VERY SMOOTHLY, I FEEL AS THOUGH I AM STILL DRIVING A CAR INSTEAD OF AN SUV. I DO FEEL THE VEHICLE BURNS ALOT OF GAS. I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND IT TO A FRIEND. NOT A BAD DEAL FOR THE PRICE, THE SOUND SYSTEM COULD BE IMPROVED.

It is very comfortable and fun to drive. My only problem with it is that it doesn't have the power, the get up and go that I wish it did. I really do love the Santa Fe though, it's probably the most comfortable and fun to drive of any vehicle I've owned.

Affordability, style, comfort of ride, price and warranty can't be beat in the auto industry. This vehicle is superior to any I've shopped for or driven, bar none. Interior room excellent compared to SUV's in same class.

I actually like my 2004 Santa Fe which I purchased new back in May of 2004. I have a problem that I cannot resolve. Each year I have a problem with my blower control knob. The blower starts to run only on one level and eventually stops altogether. It has cost me several hundred dollars each time I have had this fixed only to be back in the same situation the next year. Right now I have been only able to use my heat or A/C on high because it won't work on any other level. Thanks, TOO HOT OR TOO COLD

The dealership was very fair. I was able to get TMV price on the auto without a problem and zero% for five years sold me. The auto has smooth and powerful pick up. Soft ride with good handeling. The inside is cockpit like but comfortable. Got to love all the standard features. The leather with heated seats and mirrors a must.

3.5 V8 5 speed Shiftronic. Had the SF two months now, put 4K on it. Fuel Economy not the best, with a lot of freeway only 18mpg. Went to dealer for oil change, and warranty work, Rt/Ctr air vent not working, and a piece fell off the turn signal. Also had the TSB done to stop the lurch when taking off. It seems to have worked, much smoother acceleration. So far... dealer okay. After the TSB, fuel economy did improve to almost 20 mpg.Hopefully that will continue up. Dealer said it would take the computer about 7000 miles to adjust to how we drive. Was the first new vehicle we could afford in over 15 years. Excellent value, if the reliability is as good as they say it is. Time will tell......

Best Bang for the buck out there. More fun to drive than the Acura at half the cost. The Honda Pilot is a pig on the city streets. Buy the car, not the hype of the name people!

I started out wanting to buy a Toyota Highlander. Did a LOT of research & everything that came standard on my Hyundai Santa Fe were upgrades on the Highlander and would have cost me $5000 more. I am extremely satisfied with my Santa Fe & highly recommend it to anyone looking for this type of SUV. Even my car snob brother-in-law who works for Honda USA is impressed with the style and quality of the Santa Fe. It's very affordable, drives great and looks great. I get 18 mpg in town, wish that was more but not too bad. Buy one, you won't regret it.

I have owned this car for over a month now. I have had Zero problems with this vehicle and am getting 4 miles more a gallon than the sticker said. My family loves it. I can keep up with freway traffic and tow my waverunner with ease. I had a great experience at the dealership, paid under invoice and feel great about my investment. I would stongly recomend this suv.

i was so excited to get my first new car in 30 years and i couldn't have made a better choice and the price is perfect so many standard features helped me make the decision. I picked arctic blue because everyone has silver and the color is getting old,at least i can find mine in a sea of silver at the mall. i love the stereo system.the ride is smooth not bumpy like my brothers jeep liberty,even he agreed.and wished he had checked into the sante fe before he had puchased his liberty. and thats why i love my hyundai!!!!!!!!

i have found the sana fe to be a very good car this is our second however i have been having a problem with the paint since day 1 the clear coat keeps bubbling in places i had a heck of a time to get them to repaint the hood were it was the worst now i have a place the passenger door where it is doing the same thing

Prior to purchasing this vehicle, we looked at Subarus. As I was on my fourth and was very pleased with the vehicle. I did a lot of research on both vehicles and we felt as far as value goes, we could not go wrong with our purchase of a 2003 Santa Fe LX AWD. The warranty told us that the Company was going to be here down the road. Hyundai Industries, has a lot of money behind them and as soon as they find their niche in the marketplace, you will find this vehicle, retailing for at least 3000.00 more.

The power and ride of the Santa Fe GLS with the larger 3.5L engine is fantastic. There is no hesitation at all. I averaged about 20 mpg on my first tank with a combination of city & highway driving. This is slightly better than I had expected for such a large engine.

just purchased in oct.03,not many miles yet but i have to say that so far i'm very happy with the car as a hole.good ride,tight,no squeaks,good workmanship.- --3.5 engine is powerful enough for me,and the trans. is smooth.got it in the moonlight blue and it is a kick ass color,lots of compliments.

THE DRIVERS SEAT COULD BE A BIT MORE ROOMY AND MORE LEG ROOM. IF I HAVE A BEVERAGE IN THE CUP HOLDER MY RIGHT KNEE IS RIGHT UP AGAINST THE MUG OR BOTTLE. ALSO THE RADIO DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH BASS.THE SOUND COULD BE MUCH MORE FULLER, ESPECIALLY SINCE IT'S CALLED "MONSOON".

I bought my Santa Fe in May of 2003. My first new truck from a dealership. I was so excited. I drove home and it was making a hissing sound under the hood. Called the next day, the told me I can bring it there in 2 weeks. I was so upset. Brand new car making noise for 2 weeks. Turns out it was a bad belt. Ok, this is a beautiful little truck. I do enjoy it. Its reliable and drives nicely. The only complaint I have and I see others have is that there is absolutely NO pick up.

The reason I chose this SUV is because it is easy to handle and it drives just like a car and besides that it is so easy to shift and the stereo system is outstanding. I really love the way it handles on the highway, so smooth and flows so easy over the roads. I wouldn't trade my Santa Fe for nothing.

Hundai, like Toyota did years ago has held down the price in order to build acceptance. This is an excellent value for a compact SUV and comes with the best warrenty I know of.

I love my Santa Fe Lx. It has so many extras. I have leather interior with seat heaters, a great sound system, and it runs great on the highway. You have to watch the speed or you will catch yourself going too fast.

I OWN A 2003 HYUNDAI SANTA FE LX 3.5L ALL WHEEL DRIVE WITH A SUNROOF. ITS HARD TO BELEIVE THAT HYUNDAI CAN PUT SO MANY OPTIONS IN A VEHICLE AT SUCH A GOOD PRICE. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT A WOOSIE TRUCK. ITS GOT GOOD LOOKS AND PLENTY OF TINTED GLASS. HIT THE GAS AND YOU ARE AIR BORNE. WITH THE MOONSOON SOUND SYSTEM CRANKING 218 WATTS YOU CAN HEAR AND FEEL AND ENJOY EVERY BEAT. SOFT LEATHER SEATS. Love the car @ 125K miles. only history to report is Velocity sensor gear failed, P/S pump and lines fail/rust prematurely. Almost impossible to replace P/S pump yourself. Must use hyundai oil filter or you will have engine knock after sitting overnight. Window antenna is garbage on 2004, improved at 2005.

Vehicle has very slight lag on initial acceleration to about 2200rpm and then it's very good. Ride is firm- seating very comfortable. Slight reflection of dashboard in windshield and of rear brake light under some lighting conditions. Gas mileage about 13 mpg under suburban non highway driving. Engine smooth- trans shifts smooth and not overly active.

I've had my SantaFe for 8 weeks now and I am so pleased. It is my first 4x4, but it has all the comforts of a luxury vehicle. It has also already helped my get to my job at the hospital during 2 snowstorms.I just pulled out of my parking space in 13 inches of snow. I am very impressed with the traction control. I feel very safe.
