2022 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-in
I bought the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-in in January of 2022, and it had been better than I expected. I bought the SEL trim level, which gives you a lot of tech and specs for a great price. Most of my driving is around the city for work, so I rarely ever need the gas. I have gone more than 1,400 miles twice before needing to fill up. But when I need to go on long trips to the airport or for my long drive days, I have the gas engine for back up. 590-mile range is amazing. Plus, since it only has a 11.4 gallon tank, it doesn't hurt as much at the pump when I need to fill up!
EXCELLENT COMMUTER CAR!!!
Great little vehicle for commuting 80kms per day and able to charge at both places. Rarely ever use the gas engine based on this. Edmunds has nailed the review 100% in agreement to all the Pros and Cons. Also note no recalls for the Plug-in Version to date and reliability has been amazing 3 years and 80,000kms not one issue other than normal wear items ie 12v Battery.

Everything I could want in a city car
Great gas milage, tons of tech, surprising amount of space. Maybe not the best for moving a whole house cross country, but for running around town it’s great. Its not noisy on highways, compact and easy to park. The back windshield takes some getting used to since it’s not as wide as sedans with trunks. But it has blind spot warning and a backup camera. With your side view mirrors, you can get all the information you need anyway.
