Used 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Very Noisy!
This is my first and most likely my last Hyundai. My 2013 Elantra is the nosiest car I have ever owned hands down. The sound generated by the 17" wheels and low profile tires is extreme. Hyundai, put some sound absorbing material in and please, include a spare tire. "Just call our 24 hour road service" does not make up for sitting on the side of the road for 2 hours waiting for the tow to come.
Great car!
Great reliable car, best car I have ever owned. Underrated

Don't believe the gas mileage hype
Recently purchased a 2013 Elantra Limited under the premise that I would be getting a fuel efficient vehicle for a decent price. I traded a 2012 Camaro to make this deal as I travel 65 miles a day to work and back in hybrid traffic. I drive pretty conservatively and live in Florida which is predominately flat. With the first 1,000 miles down, I am getting 25.4 MPG which is a far cry from the 28C-38H-32Hybrid they are so fond of telling you about. My Camaro was getting 20.6 hybrid, so I gained far less car with no real savings. The Elantra is a great car for what it is, but if you are seeking this vehicle solely for gas mileage, don't make the mistake. You won't see the stated mileage.
Reliable boredom
If you're looking for a ride that does everything well but nothing great, this is your car. I've had it for 4 years with no issues whatsoever, yet I'm ready to part with it, not because I don't think I can't run it for another 60k miles but because it has bored me into submission. Middle of the road from every aspect. It's vanilla ice cream, which lots of people like, I just prefer a little Chocolate Therapy even at the risk of occasional problems. So, if you're looking for a daily commuter, this is an excellent choice as long as you look for inspiration elsewhere.

Not a terrible vehicle, just take care of it!
I got my 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited used back in 2020. I purchased it for 7,650 dollars and it had about 117,000 miles on it at the time. It hasn't been a bad car by any means in terms of getting me from point A to B, but it has had some small issues along the way. My sunroof will no longer open, and when it does decide to open a centimeter, it automatically blows a fuse. Hyundai told me that it could be a faulty wire or an issue with the button to open it itself but I never really used it to begin with. My backup camera also does not function. When I put it in reverse, it just gives me a black screen or a picture of my navigation with the lines to judge how far you are from something. My driver side window button no longer can do the automatic setting, and actually has kinda just became floppy if that makes sense. It will still roll my window up and down but it is very touchy. Those are the only issues interior wise I have experienced so far. I have had to replace the alternator once and I have done 3 tierods which seems excessive to me but hey. I have bought three sets of tires so far and they all have worn pretty evenly. I do routine maintenance on it and make sure everything is full and fresh! Other than the issues listed, I love my little speedy car! It has very nice pickup and can surprise you for being a 1.8L 4 cylinder! I have about 184,500 miles now and still going strong!!
