A Great Little Car for the Money!!
I really like my Elantra! It looks great for a 4 door car.Sporty and fun to drive. It is also very dependable.
Elantra experience
I bought the Elantra because I needed an inexpensive car quickly. The price was right and you certainly can't beat the warranty. It is a great value. That being said, I'm at the dealership FAR too regularly. The 'check engine' light is often on, but they never find a problem. The A/C works sporadically. The temperature gauge registers 'hot' though the technicians claim it is not running hot. They've advised me not to operate the A/C above setting 2 (4 settings available) as the motor burns out. The motor in mine has been replaced twice (6700 miles and 24000 miles). The radiator blew up and had to be replaced at 14000 miles.
what a sweethart
The only problems I have ever had with this car is the total lack of quality of the dealer mechanics that worked on it for warranty claims. They caused more damage than they fixed. I'll stick to doing my own repairs its safer and less expensive. As a matter of fact this car has over 110,000 miles, driven 70 miles round trip each day and I just replaced the front disc pads not because they were worn out but the backer pads rusted out from the road salt in Maine.I LOVE this car and just bought my wife a 2007 Sonata. Great car. Great warranty, fun to drive, and reliable. no major problems to date. 10 years later.
all the bang a lot less buck!
I have a 99 GL and this is a great car that i can rely on. I picked it up new for under $11,000 and it is as comfortable as my brothers 98 Honda Civic not to mention the Hyundai is faster. I will definetly buy a new Hyundai when this car wears out.
Best Car Ever
I recommend this car to anyone that is looking for something reliable but stylish. This car is great for long distance road trip and for short inner city driving. I purchased this car brand new and with over 120k miles it is still running great. I am looking to upgrade my Hyundai Elantra to a Sonata. But this car is well worth it for anyone single, married, with or without children.
