My '17 Ridgeline (bought in July of 2016) is nearly 7 years old and still going strong. Haven't had a single mechanical issue/repair. A few minor recall items and general maintenance is all it's needed. Ride is great. Also getting 18-22 mpg in town and 25+ on highway. I highly recommend this truck to anyone looking for a small-mid size pick up.

Excellent truck for someone who wants functionality of a truck and economy of a car while not losing the ability of a truck.

A really great truck!

I researched this truck a LOT before making the purchase and while I really wanted Android Auto, I think the RTL trim is a perfect choice. Sure the Honda Sensing and all would be nice to have, but for someone used to driving older vehicles that don't have those bells and whistles, the RTL has all I really need. I did debate the AWD and FWD a lot, but in Texas where I may only have a few days a year where the AWD is really beneficial, I opted for FWD. I found a really low mileage (7800) 2017 version and it was in great shape. So the added savings of a used vehicle were too good to pass up. Power - I have only owned it 4 weeks, but I have been plenty happy with its power for normal driving. I have not towed anything and probably wont very often. There is more than enough power to get on and off the interstate. Handling - It is a Honda. If you have driven any other Honda's you know what you are getting. It has plenty of feel and maneuvering around town is a breeze since it doesn't have the full size pickup bulk. Features - Heated seats, comfortable front seats, deep console, added in door drink holders, and the trunk are all super handy. I wondered if I would actually use the trunk, but have several times already while shopping. It is nice to have stuff locked up and out of sight. Speaker quality is just ok. And the radio/infotainment system is the basic one, so don't expect anything fancy, but you get the back up camera and radio, along with bluetooth so all your phone features are easily used. I do wish the rear power window was available on this trim. I love having the tire pressure monitor showing exactly what PSI each tire is at. Comfort - Front passengers have plenty of comfort. I have had a few passengers in the back 5'5" - 5'8" and they were both comfortable for the 45 min drive we were on. May not be great for larger passengers on multi hour rides, but their is plenty of room for 3 kids across the back seat. Only knock so far is that gas mileage is not great. In city driving the on screen calculation has been at 16 mpg and actual calculations are only slightly higher. Highway has been better at about 20 - 21 mpg. I didnt purchase this to be a Honda Accord or Civic for gas mileage though so I expected similar based on research. Bottom line - If you are looking for a vehicle that offers the conveniences of a truck without the size and all, this is a great option. I am not an off road person and don't often haul stuff, but wanted a truck to be able to take advantage of the times I do need to throw something in the back and get on down the road. Read the reviews of the online groups and you will see that all of them are the same, and they are all really accurate. This isnt your heavy duty farm truck, but rather a great city pickup capable of doing what you really need, which is to get people and stuff from point A to point B. I have been extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this model to anyone looking for a great ride and the conveniences of a truck.

I bought my Ridgeline in October 2018. I looked at and researched all the other options in the midsize truck segment. I also know all the arguments against the Ridgeline like, "It's not a real truck" or "It doesn't have a low gear", "It's not a traditional 4WD". First, yes it's not a rock crawler and probably won't be able to do "Heavy duty" off roading. However, don't be fooled, this is a very capable vehicle. It's not just an AWD, it's a torque vectoring system that in most instances is superior to a traditional 4WD system. It performs beautifully in heavy snow and ice. It's amazing how fast you can take curving interstate ramps with the vectoring system. Don't take my word for it, look it up online. It also gives you great mileage especially in an urban area. Easy to park, fits in a regular garage, it's quiet and rides great. Versatility in the back seat is also good with the way the seats fold up. And yes, you can fit a bike in there, I've done it! The hidden trunk in the bed is a bonus. So far I've found 3 negatives (Which are hard to find unless you're picky) 2 of which I already fixed myself. 1) The infotaintment is terrible! Yes, there's a volume button on steering wheel but sometimes it's just easier to use a knob which this system lacks. It is also very slow when starting the vehicle to finally get to the home screen. 2) At this price point Honda should include the locking handle for the tailgate. I bought it and installed it myself, but come on Honda! Finally, 3) The narrow opening of the rear doors I rectified by replacing the door checkers so you gain a good 5 inches of opening. They're $10 each and it takes 15 minutes to do. Once again, Honda pay attention! Having said that, another thing I love about the Ridgeline is how the center stack for AC/Heating controls is very straight forward and doesn't have a thousand buttons like most newer vehicles have nowadays. Other than that, I am extremely happy with the Ridgeline.

I just got my new Ridgeline and I love it. I had to wait a long while to get an RTLE-E because having a opening back window was a "deal breaker" for me. Two things Honda engineers really missed. 1) All models should come with an opening back window (it doesn't need to be power). 2) The tonneau cover is really superior---but Honda does not have a locking tailgate. Why is totally beyond me!
