What a great SUV!! Finally a brand that gets it
6 months of comparing, test driving and analyzing SUVs and this just checked all the boxes in the most optimal way. We needed a family car that can go both to daily city commutes to adventures for real; towing, getting to where mountain bike trails are, etc. We are 6 but occasionally need room for 8. We need ed decent towing power and payload capacity for when we need to tow and bring gear and people with us. All other SUV brands give you 8 seats in the lowest trims and as you get higher in the trim you exchange features for a decreased payload/sitting capacity,... but Honda went different, counter intuitively and provides that detachable seat option at the higher trim levels o make it an 8 or a 7 seater and you keep the higher payload capacity. Space is almost the same as the minivan we traded in for it, it is very spacious and it feels strong, durable and reliable. It drives smooth as butter but when you need the power it delivers it with no delay. Brakes feel awesome. The interior is free from cabin- like obstacles (shift stick, cockpit narrow style cabin, etc), it is completely minimalist in style but it has everything you need exactly where you needed it with no interference of space. That panoramic sunroof is amazing, kids and grownups have plenty of space, air vents and connectivity. The tow hitch is super well integrated. Safety and driving assistance is very well tuned. AC is nice, strong and quiet. Bose sound system is concert hall quality. It is a great combination of urban with rugged, functionality, quality and practicality. Very happy with it! and I'm glad I waited before buying anything else.

The Smoothest Powerful 3 Row SUV in 2023
I have driven several 3 Row SUVs to pick the best value one. After test driving Grand Jeep Cherokee, Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, Toyota Highlander, Cadillac XT6 and a couple of other ones, I test drove Honda Pilot. Pilot was second to none. It was smooth, elegant, and smart from my point of view without any extra bells and whistles. The design is unique and everybody can enjoy its drive. The fuel consumption is lower than any V6 SUVs at this range. I purchased it and now I am confident that I love all aspects of this car.

Checked all the boxes
We bought the 2023 Honda Pilot Elite after shopping for a 3 row SUV for a few weeks. It has all of the features we were looking for along with the Honda quality we wanted. So far, the Pilot has met all of our expectations from the comfort to the drive to the technology and safety features, we are very satisfied with our purchase.

Update - Honda Reliability Slipping
Ordered our 2023 Pilot and got it in 3 weeks. Last car was a Pallisade, but it had half dozen features we did not like. So far after a month we love our Honda. Very quiet, very smooth ride as good as our Mercedes GLS 450 at half of the cost and the Pilot uses regular unlead gas! Only a few inches shorter behind the 3rd row compared to our last Chevy Tahoe and only Toyota has better resale value. Plan to buy a second Pilot in 2 weeks. 2025 Update: Been having a lot of issues, cannot delete a preset radio channel, seat moves forward rather than rearward when drivers door is open, 2 safety recalls and dealer will no provide a loaner even though they say they will for safety related recalls. Rear hatch will not open hands free, hesitation when accelerating from stop, clock will not keep accurate time. Traded in one Pilot and will trade in this one soon. Very disappointed

Much improved over the previous generation Pilot
We have had our 2023 Pilot Touring AWD for two weeks now. The ride feels much more solid and quieter than our old 2019 Touring. The panoramic roof is a welcome upgrade as well and is our kids' favorite thing in the SUV. The 10-speed does shift quite often, which was expected, but it does so with little fuss even on multi-gear downshifts so it's barely noticed. The new look is what sealed the deal for us. This thing looks sharp!

Serious Upgrade
I’ve never owned a Honda as we have been loyal Toyota customers for years. After test driving the new Highlander, I couldn’t get on board with the cramped interior and 4 cylinder turbo engine. Enter the 23 Pilot. This thing is beautiful in person, has tons of passenger and cargo room, no shortage of power when needed in the passing lane, and an abundance of features. Not to mention it is so fun to drive. I look forward to my commute each day. To say I’m in love so far is an understatement! I have a lot to learn about the newer technology as my last vehicle, a 2013 Toyota Highlander, didn’t have all of these amenities and creature comforts. UPDATE 03/23/23 My new vehicle with 300 miles on it has a moonroof / windshield leak. Apparently it is quite common amongst this new model. Keep an eye on your headliners if you’ve got one of these. I’m taking it to the dealership to be fixed next week and hoping it doesn’t rain in the meantime.

Broke down at 11,000 miles!
While I liked the features of the Pilot while it was working, at 11,000 miles on a family trip from Dallas to Colorado, it refused to start. I had it towed to the nearest dealership in Pueblo. The car passed all diagnostics and it took more than a week for Honda (after flying in an engineer) to figure out what was wrong. They claimed it was an electrical connection under hood, but that didn't fix it. After taking the car apart, the dealer found a faulty wire--after two weeks. Three weeks down the road, Honda has refused to reimburse me for my rental or transport car back to Texas. I'm very disappointed in the car and Honda as a company. Will never buy a Honda product again.

Smoothest SUV in the segment - by far!
After test driving the Telluride, Palisade, Highlander Etc. I settled on the 2023 Pilot Touring AWD. It is by far the most comfortable, smooth and quiet ride. I also love the infotainment screen as it has no glare because of its matte finish and is the perfect size - not too small or too large and distracting.

Pilot Touring
I've had my new Pilot for just over a week and am trying to find something I don't like. It's been a while since I've had a new car and am adjusting to all of the features. I've not owned a vehicle this large and did not expect the steering to be so responsive. Very comfortable to drive and the sight lines are excellent. I've owned many Hondas (CRVs and Accords), so the build quality is something I have experienced before.

Excellent vehicle
No car manufacturer will ever please everyone as you can see in some of the reviews here. This car is simply excellent. Beautiful inside and outside. Comfortable, reliable, good on gas for its size. The price matches other SUVs of its size (sorry, all cars are just expensive nowadays). Vehicles are depreciating assets but this will holds its value longer. If you want piece of mind and comfort, go with Honda Pilot. Do not be misled by some comments and a very small percentage of vehicles with minor defects, which is normal in any manufacturing process. Enjoy the ride!

2 Thumbs Up
The ride of our Honda Pilot is amazing. We love how quite the cabin is with the acoustics windows deadening any road noise. The seats are extremely comfortable and the best we ever had. The only complaint is the passenger seat doesn’t lift up or down and it sits a little low. The 12 speaker audio system rocks!

Best SUV out there!
It is solid! Spacious! Reliable! Has enough space for any growing family. Sits 8, can’t beat that. I think many GLS customers may trade down for this pilot. We test drove many cars (Tahoe, armada, enclave, palisade, XT6) but this one check all the boxes - trunk room, enough seating, gas, low maintenance cost, space. The only thing is I wish they’d made the driver seat a bit more comfortable for a 6ft guy. Honda, please give us comfy driver seats!
Amazing SUV
2023 Honda Pilot Elite - amazing SUV. After test driving all other competitors I end up buying Honda. It has a smooth and quiet ride, all techs that you'll ever need, acceleration is good without lag like some other competiotors that have 9 speed zf transmission. It's roomier than most of the other SUVs. Visability is excellent. It's extremely practical and family oriented SUV.

Great SUV, but a few flaws
UPDATE- 3-5-24 - Now at 14,000 miles the gas mileage has not gotten better and actually is a bit worse. Combined I can't push more than 19 mpg and just for HWY ends up being around 20 mpg. Again, I have not seen anything close to the stated mpg for this vehicle, which is disappointing for sure. I still do love the SUV. First off, this SUV has almost everything you would need from tech, features, overall driving experience. Of course, there are few things missing but that is to be expected and the things are just my wants. I currently have 5500 miles on it. WOULD LIKE TO HAVE - The screen could have been updated as well to the larger one as there seems to be room to fit the larger one so why they didn't do that is beyond me and I feel a pretty silly decision on their part. The passenger seat would be nice if it would move Up and Down which would be a huge plus for my 6'4" husband. I wish it also had the "Adaptive lights" which would be nice. THE GOOD - The features that are available are great and work pretty well. The seats are very comfortable and will work out well for longer trips. Blind spots are few which is very nice. The Sound system is really nice, and you can turn pretty loud with no issues. The ride itself is very nice and enjoyable. Although the 3rd row isn't very room with leg room, but head room is great. I didn't buy the vehicle for the 3rd row I bought it for storage and hauling and it's perfect. Very roomy and I just love the two-tone brown/black leather seats. The gray I looked at prior just looked cheap and would get dirty pretty quick. It is a nice-looking car and as white wasn't my choice as the car fell into my lap it is a very pretty white color. I just love the panoramic sunroof which was something I would not go without when buying a new car. The wireless Apple car play works great and connects pretty quickly once car is started. I love the auto locking doors when walking away from the vehicle. The and the mirrors that turn in is a great feature as well. Let's me know that my car is really locked. The 10 year/150,000-mile warranty is the best I have ever seen when buying a car so that brings me peace of mind for the next 8 to 9 years, as I do put a lot of miles on my car. THE NOT SO GOOD - Gas mileage has little to desire, it is not good at all compared to what they say it should be. I rarely drive my car hard and can barely push 19.5 miles per gallon combined hwy/city driving. Hwy driving, I most I was able to get was 22 miles per gallon and that's rare. When not in "Eco" mode the mileage is about 1 mile less per gallon. I usually average 300/320 per tank, I was hoping for better. I had a 2022 rental pilot elite and drove that much harder than mine and got way better gas out that one. Now I know that one is smaller than the redesign 2023 however when I was getting 23 miles combined and almost 25 miles HWY that seems to be a pretty noticeable difference. When it comes to "Lane Keep" well that is something I turn off 90% of the time as it doesn't work very well. It tends to jerk the vehicle between the lines way to often and is not consistent at all. Now the 2022 worked great and I used it the entire time I had it as a rental. If the lines are a slight bit to light the sensor can't see them and it will shut off over and over. Dealership that that is normal which I find to be untrue as the 2022 on the same road worked just fine. The sunroof has a bad rattle, and it is very annoying, and dealer can't figure out the issue so no fix can be done. (This is just me as I dislike rattles) The wireless charging. well let's just say is useless. It really doesn't work so I keep it off most times. If you have even the slightest thick phone case good luck with it working. The "Cooled" seats I don't feel work great, but I don't really mind as I didn't expect much from them any ways and just see it as an added bonus if I would ever really need to use them. OTHER SUVS I LOOKED AT- I also looked at the 2023 Highlander Hybrid, but the wait was minimum 1 year up to 2 years. The Lexus NX 300H which in the end I passed on due to it being another small vehicle and I didn't want that. Lastly the 2022/23 BMW x3 sdrive30i, but after researching the maintenance and the cost of repairs I choose to not go that route even though it was a beautiful SUV, and I loved the driving experience. I am happy with my choice still but just wish the gas mileage was a bit better. OVERALL, A GREAT SUV - I really do enjoy the car and glad I went with the one, I wasn't even able to drive it first before putting a deposit down on it, I know this review makes it seem like I don't care for it, but I really am very happy I purchased this one!

A Honda that’s not just reliable, but fun to drive
To start, I’d like to say we have owned just about every brand of vehicle, my wife loves to buy new cars, this 2023 Honda Pilot Elite is her 54th new vehicle. This is her twelfth new Honda and by far the best. All of the Hondas have been reliable, but not really high tech or that quite and comfortably. Honda has really hit a home run this time. Super quite ride, great handling, comfortable seats, great new look, high tech and a really nice Bose stereo. We love the heads up display, removable rear console, which stores in the cargo area and the front console works great for your armrest. The transmission shifts very smooth. The HondaLink provides a great deal of information and the safety rating on Hondas have always been excellent. There are so many cup holders and usb and usb-c plugins, plus 12v plugs and a 110v plugin, it’s really convenient. Another real plus, we are already getting better mpg than it’s rated to get. My wife really likes the huge sunroof too. Towing capacity isn’t bad either at 5000 lbs. I just hope she keeps this one for a while!

Software has ruined the hardware
UPDATE: Nice engine. Nice transmission. Great interior. Lots of room. Very very silly tech hubris ruins experience and is dangerous. Example: Can not shut headlights off easily using the “off” switch. One can, in park, but that doesn’t help after beaming your kids soccer coach and half the team in the face pulling into parking space for pick up at dusk. The hack is to switch to parking lights, but lights still on. Why cant' the driver just use the "off" on the stalk. Inane. The more dangerous ones are leading me to sell this machine: Want to use the sequential paddle shifters to engine brake on steep icy hill on way to ski resort? Whoops! The “smart” programming decides to go ahead and shift to a higher gear after a few seconds. Why bother to have manual shifting, if its not actually manual? Unless in sport mode; then still can't go into D1, even at 5 mph. In the heat of moment- e.g. with abs on I am going to slide through this intersection into another car unless I can engine brake- one needs to remember to flick into sport before being able to engine brake. Unrealistic expectation for this driver. Or, better, remember to use the hill descend mode button. But must be going less than 12mph AND that feature is a combo of brakes and engine braking (defeating the purpose of use case) AND it takes up to a minute to start- already filing my insurance claim from the crash waiting for that to work. And the auto -on off at intersections. Yea it has a manual override but must be done each and every time one starts the car. And its very slow to-restart from off. Terrifying to come out of gas station (and forget to turn off the auto start/stop b/c I did when I left the garage) and punch it for a left hand turn on busy Highway and have the car not go for a couple seconds. Oh, almost forgot about mild off-roading (its an SUV?) on a dirt road with tall grasses in the middle of the track and on the side. Slams on brakes randomly. Can fully disable the rear for the bike rack, so can back up the car, but can not fully disable the front, so just have to not drive through tall grass, ever. Sure, one can unlearn 20 years of habit in every other car ever owned, including great previous Hondas, to operate lights, operate push button transmission, not use engine braking and remember to turn off the auto on/off. Or can just trade in for cx90. I have chosen the latter. Great mechanicals with silly semi-auto software features have ruined this car.

Better Then I Thought
Just pick-up a 23 Honda Pilot Elite. Traded in a 21 Pilot Elite. The 23 is bigger, easier to get into, more comfortable and has more bells and whistles. I have owned nine Hondas this the best riding one.

Loving My Pilot
I bought my Pilot 2 weeks ago and I love the ride. It feels like a luxury car. I also like that there is a removable middle seat in the 2nd row. I am getting 21mpg on average. I only wish there was a hybrid option.

Great Family Hauler
This SUV is great. It is just about proficient in every aspect. Most of the noteworthy downsides are small and insignificant. They include: busy transmission and lackluster acceleration, small infotainment interface, annoying and oversensitive forward collision warning, lack of steering feedback and cramped third row. As an owner, let me address these and explain why these are insignificant. The transmission can seem a bit noisy around town, but the acceleration is fine, especially on the highway. The infotainment screen is a little small, but is versatile and easy to use. Honda probably should have put a little more into it with the redesign, but hey, it's only 2023 and there are changes yet to be made. I also love how it's undistracting and doesn't cause light glare. And about the overly vigilant front collision warnings, I love them. There is just no way you are going to crash this baby so long as they are active. They never send up false alarms, and their notifications should not be classified as annoying; they remind you to be cautious and are there for you if you happen to lose focus. For the lack of feedback while steering, I have one thing to say: The Pilot is not a sports car. It is a family hauler. Sure it would make the driving experience a bit more wholesome, but as it is, the steering is light and it handles well around turns. If you really want something sporty, maybe the CX-90 is the SUV for you, but it is not perfect either. And as for the third row, it's pretty tight. But the second row is roomy and can also slide, to make it easier for third row passengers without impeding too badly on their own space. Also, the small third row makes for great cargo capacity behind it even while it is up. Interior storage is class leading, too. And the third row is not intolerable, either. I come in at just about 6 feet tall, and I can fit somewhat comfortably. The Pilot has a lot going for it. Added off road capability, Honda reliability, and a child friendly interior, which is simple, practical, and easy to use. The Telluride's appointments are convenient, but mostly so for adults and not kids, so at this price you may as well upgrade to luxury or full size. The interior, while not as quiet, is pleasantly muted and isolated and at least slightly keeps you aware of the outside world. Great SUV and no problems so far. UPDATE-- The car still runs as good as it did when we first purchased it. One thing I've learned since-- I noticed that the transmission isn't the smoothest shifting. However, using sport mode eliminates the problems I had with this.

Highly Satisfied Customer
Over 1k miles in and not a single complaint. I am happy to say that as that is not common for a new car redesign. The interior is quiet and transmission buttery smooth. Everything works the way it should, with no learning curve. I have the reliability of a Honda, yet get a fresh look and beautiful interior/features on the Elite trim. I feel around $50k for the Elite is a highly competitive price if within budget! But the EXL gave a lot for the price too & Trailsport has the awesome Sky Blue color. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 2023 Pilot!

Poor assembly design and fit and finish
After giving my 2019 Pilot EX-L to my daughter, I thought I’d “upgrade” to a new 2023 Pilot. To be honest, I didn’t go over it with a fine-toothed comb as I usually would on a new vehicle. It is a comfortable, nice ride, but the body work is abysmal —loose, Ill-fitting plastic trim on the doors and taillights, shabby seam sealing throughout, water and dirt seeping into the inside of the doors due to insufficient rubber underbody and doors trims. Truly disappointing to the point that I’m still shopping for a vehicle, which I’ll do as long as the hit on my trade isn’t outrageously bad. 2-26-25 update: Still driving the vehicle at 28,000. Still a smooth ride, relatively quiet, which is why I’ve kept it, but I did need new tires with less than 25,000 on the originals. My previous opinions on the fit and finish haven’t changed. I’m worried about potential rust due to sloppy seam-sealing and trim. I hope I’m wrong.

Best 3-row SUV ever
We had our brand new 2023 Pilot Elite for a week. We have compared all the other competitors on the market, such as Highlander, Palliside, Telluride, MDX, Acsent, Atlas. Finally we choose Pilot, and thanks to our decision. It's the best SUV ever!

2023 Pilot TrailSport Issue’s
We bought our 2023 Pilot Trailsport brand new in October of 2023. It currently has 4,300 miles. It has had a computer issue since day one. The dash randomly lights up like a Christmas tree with every warning light and error message. There are times when we use the remote start the doors will not open with the remote we have to use the key to unlock the doors manually. The automatic high beams work sometimes and sometimes they don’t. The tailgate is power and it wont open half of the time. If we shut the car off and start it again sometimes that will fix the issue and allow the tailgate to open. We had it in the local Honda dealership and they told us the issue was resolved but it was back to square one the following day. They now have parts ordered that are on back order and have been for over a month. We had a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee before this that had electrical issues that’s why we got rid of it. Now we are back to square one with this pilot. We bought a Honda for their dependability and this may be a lemon but I would not recommend the new body style Pilot.
2023 Pilot - Great SUV from a Dependable Brand
Love the updated exterior and interior styling. I have owned the Pilot for seven months and enjoy driving it every day. Performance is terrific and interior is quiet, comfortable and well laid out in simplicity and function; previous Honda vehicles I owned had confusing interior controls. Lots of room for passengers and all their stuff. Love this simpler alloy wheels that look great but are easy to clean. A lot of simple features like this show Honda has done their homework in the overall design. I have previously owned five Honda Vehicles that all exceeded 200K miles with none or limited repairs which is a main reason I chose the Pilot over other brands. Having a dependable vehicle for the long term is more important than some extra or fancier amenities.

2023 Honda Pilot
Smooth and powerful. All the controls are located where they should be with quality knobs. With the rear seat down you have a little over 41/2 feet of storage. Had the EXL for 2 months and really like it. The 10 speed trans is very smooth. Around town I am getting 19 mpg is what I expected. It is not a small car! I have to rate it a 10 so far.

Brand new 2023 Honda Pilot check engine lights on
I bought a brand new 2023 Honda Pilot three weeks ago. The second day, the check engine light on. Here is the message:"Emissions system problem. Power may be reduced. See dealer". I immediately drove it to the dealership Service Dept. But, that Service Advisor said I did not make an appointment and has a kind of "do not care" attitude. It took me lots of efforts and almost 5 trips, eventually, they said it a sensor issues which is in some kind of value of the gas tank ares. They put order to replace the value and sensor. But, it has been over 15 days and no ETA from the supplier! Plus, the driver side wiper blade simply flew away the first time I turned it on in the heavy rain. It took three phone calls and two appointments to get the new wiper blade installed because it need to be "ordered" also. On the left side of back window, the bottom trim is not glued well and can easily peel off and has not fixed by the Service Dept yet. Since 1996,I used two Honda Accord which were very reliable. and a Honda Odysessy van which had transmission issues after 6 years. After that, I bought new Acura MDX and drove it for over 15 years and very reliable. That is the reasons I come back to bought this 2023 Honda Pilot. But, looks like Honda's build quality dramatically degraded. If I have choice now, I will NEVER buy Honda cars anymore. First, the manufacturing quality is very bad from my experience with the brand new Pilot, secondly, the experience with the Service dept is very bad also. Especially with the ordering of parts, it take over 15 days , no ETA ! what's hectic ! From the Honda manufacturer to the Service, the Honda is degrading big time. I will not recommand anybody to buy the 2023 Pilot.

Not a lifted odyssey, but best we could find
So the last 3 vehicles we’ve owned have been Odyssey’s (2004, 2010, 2019) we live on a dirt road in the country now and my wife wanted more ground clearance, 4x4/Awd cost at or under 65k, looked sporty, no low front , but yet tough, reliable, dealer reasonably close by, had the same gas mileage (she averaged 25), 3 rows, lots of storage, fit in our single car garage, and have same cargo capacity/ space for family of 5 and (2) 30 lb Corgi’s, their crates and our luggage. I suggested the local off-road center do a custom 4”-6” lift, Andrew pilot rear axle/4x4 setup and save $15k which was met with a quick no way! We looked at the expedition timberline(other trims have low front air dam that we’d repeatedly scraped on a 11’ explorer) and the Yukon/Tahoe Z-71, had less usable space than van cost $80k+, wouldn’t fit in the garage, worse gas mileage. Though looks were great, practicality was sub par for us. Quickly became a comparison between the explorer timberline and the pilot trail, explorer is rated for a little better mileage, but is a 4cyl twin turbo (pricy to replace), didnt like the infotainment screen position as much, pilot you can view while driving, explorer has to look away from the road more. Pilot has 3rd row with 3 seatbelts (our youngest is 8 and 55lbs so that works), liked pilot seat material better, fit in the garage, had issues with the sync in the 11’ explorer never had trouble with the ody. So far have 400 miles on pilot took an hour trip with 4 adults 16, 14 and 8 year olds riding in back everyone was sufficiently comfortable. Ride is smooth/predictable like the blue color. Would have liked better mileage, getting 21-22 avg so down 3-4 mpg, 3rd row is less spacious with wise than van, no dvd or dedicated NAV, less cargo space, but added roof rack should even it out, just won’t fit in garage now. All in all my wife is happy with it, and though it could be better is the best combination for us.

Stay away from Honda
Same issue as I read from another person on here. New 23 Pilot. Bought 5/23/23 and on 6/15/23 the car wouldn’t back up in a public parking lot. It would go back into park every time. Finally got it backed up enough to go forward and it did it again and again. Total of 8 or 10 times. Thought we would have to call tow truck. What if this happens at 60 mph or in an emergency?! Dealer said if they can’t replicate the issue they can’t diagnosis it or repair it. We were already in a battle over a horrible paint job we noticed on 6/11/23. A run a foot long, another drip and a paint tape line 3” wide and a foot down. We are disgusted and don’t want this car.
Disappointed
We tend to buy new vehicles, take care of them, and then drive them for many years. We’ve only had our Pilot for 8 weeks and I am already missing our old SUV. I find the Pilot to be attractive outside and inside... and the materials and fit & finish seem good. Gas millage is running around 24 mpg, which is good. So why am I not happy? • Road noise is horrendous. • Air conditioning is very weak. On a day with the temperature around 87, I could not get the interior cold enough for me, even with everything set to 58 and the fans running wide open. • There is just too much tech. I am a high tech guy... I’ve always built my own computers and have been building websites since the 1990s... but this thing is overwhelming. So far, I have probably spent at least 20 hours programming various settings and I haven’t even tried to set up the Android Car Play yet. • When you pull up to the gas pump, you cannot open the fuel filler door unless the driver door is open or at least unlocked. Whenever I stop my vehicle, I want every door to be locked... just too much crime out there. It’s just another frustrating quirk about this vehicle. • I have always done my own maintenance work. I raised the hood just to check everything out and discovered that even something simple like replacing the battery requires taking a bunch of things apart. Not user friendly. • Social media is filled with 2023 Pilot buyers who have the Touring or Elite trim, and are having problems with the sunroof leaking on the passenger side. Many of these folks have had their vehicles in the shop for a long time and Honda hasn’t been able to fix it. I doubt we will keep our Pilot very long. We will probably go back to a truck based SUV.

Best 3 row Suv!!!!
Leased a honda pilot trail sport 2023. It drives amazing and has all the features a family needs. I wanted the lighter steering and more comfortable drive on bumps and the new pilot had everything I wanted. I also love the new body style since the previous style looked more like a minivan. It does waste a bit more of gas than my previous pilot but it’s worth it.

Honda Pilot Touring, one year later
Bought it new. Lots of space and rides like a dream. UPDATE: This is a great SUV. My wife still loves it; she can sit high and not feel intimidated by all the pickup trucks. We are getting 27 mpg on the highway.....we still love it.

Gas mileage not even close advertised !
I am very disappointed in the gas mileage. I driver very conservatively and I cannot get better than 17.1 L/ 100km (14 mpg) in normal mode.

Very Frustrating Tech
First a minor detail. They decided to add this piano black gloss plastic around the air bag. I live in the south where it is hot and sunny. When the sun hits that high gloss, if feels like there's a cell phone flash light hitting your eyes. Not necessary. Now the big issue. The only way for me to receive text messages if for my infotainment system to match my phone. My text app has to be displayed for me to see incoming messages. I tried it with both android and apple. So in other words, if I'm on FM/AM, Spotify, google maps, XM, etc. I would not see a text come in. I even paid extra to have on board navigation system. So if I decided to drive from Florida to New York and use the navigation system, I would not be aware of a single text message coming in the entire journey. So if my wife, son or mother decide to text me. And I don't respond, they'd think I'm busy. I'm not busy. I'm just driving a car that is "forcing" me to be on android auto if I want to be aware of text. And what's Honda's response? Too bad. That's the way it's designed.

The word Elite saids it all.
Love everything about my pilot. Was originally going to get the touring but I figured i deserve to go all out and get the elite and im so glad i did. I love everything from the paint job (Sonic pearl gray) to the smooth riding on the freeway. Learning all the features is slightly overwhelming but fun. Definitely worth the money.

Over-priced
I test drive 2 Honda Pilots one a basic with no frills, the 2nd one in the Red Metallic fully loaded. I wanted a lease. However the down payment was very high as well as the monthly cost. I skipped this vehicle because it’s over-priced for a lease. To buy it was worse the dealer wanted 20K down without running my credit and that’s a down payment for a house. I’d rather keep my money in my pocket. Research also showed consumer complaints of car breaking down on a trip after purchase. I’m not throwing away my hard earned money on any vehicle that is unreliable.
Great 3rd row
Would recommend to families that need a useable 3rd row

I don't understand honda made such a handling. It was too much smooth. Not sharp. When i tried to cornering or sharp turn, tail was shaking. Something wrong with body or frame

Love my Pilot!
I’ve had my Honda Pilot Trailsport for a little over a month now and I couldn’t be happier. Ample space in the first and second row. Probably not the techiest vehicle on the market for the price point but it has everything you need. 10/10

Love the Pilot!
Not sure why reviewers are so picky. The pilot is spacious and has an excellent ride. Acceleration is also adequate and the V6 sound is great. The 9 inch screen is plenty big enough. I’m actually not a fan to gigantic screens in cars, so like it. Would take this any day over a Kia. Our last car was a Kia Sorento and it started giving way too many mechanical problems after 5 years, and initial quality impressions wore off real fast with interior leather wearing out and exterior scratches and dings. The Honda Pilot looks like it’s built to last with nice materials used everywhere.
