Used 2019 Honda Odyssey Minivan Consumer Reviews
Don't be enticed by incentives
I bought the wrong car 3 times in my 45 years of purchasing cars. A 2017 Toyota Sienna was one of of the 3. I just traded the Toyota for a 2019 Honda Odyssey. The Honda is better than the Toyota in every way. When I purchased the Toyota, the new Honda van just came out. Toyota was dealing on the Sienna. I let the cost drive my decision versus the quality of the vehicle. I have have had no issue with the air conditioning, doors, or lights as reported by others. The transmission in the Toyota is junk. The shifting in very erratic. The Honda transmission is great. Drivability is excellent. I've only had the Honda for 2 weeks, but I'm very happy that I took the hit on the trade and got a much better vehicle.

LX Odyssey NO second row armrests!?
Wondering if other LX owners have noticed that it is odd that the "captain" second row seating doesn't come with arm rests? American Honda has a virtual image on their website of the interior of the car. The Second row seats CLEARLY have arm rests, even though every LX out of sale do not. When I challenged American Honda on this issue they referred me to the disclaimer that basically says they can have incorrect information and not be responsible. I was stonewalled by the Southeast Regional Manager who referred me back to the dealer. THIS IS NOT A DEALER ISSUE IT IS A MANUFACTURER BEING FRAUDULENT IN ITS REPRESENTATION OF IT'S PRODUCT. You are probably thinking why didn't you notice this when you purchased the car? Why is it such a big deal? My husband is recently disabled after cervical spine surgery. Because of his reduced arm function it is very uncomfortable for him to ride in the car without arm rests. He is tall so is unable at this point in time (or maybe ever) to ride in the front seat. I looked at the car at night and yes, didn't think to check if it had armrests. Not sure I should have had to. The dealer we purchased the car from is trying to rectify the situation on their end, which is greatly appreciated, although as I stated previously should not be their burden.

2 vehicles transmission issues
Our brand new odyssey with only 300 miles became disabled on the highway and had to have the transmisson replaced. So we trade that one in and now at 3500 miles we have the same transmission error.
2019 Odyssey Second row seat removal SUCKS!!
By putting the seat belts on the seats themselves the second row seats no longer fold down completely for removal. Try removing these VERY heavy seats with the seat back folded only about 20%. RIDICULOUSLY cumbersome. Not sure why Honda "redesigned" the Odyssey when it was pretty close to perfect in 2017. We are actually looking to trade our BRAND NEW Odyssey for a 2017-2016. Ugh...

Read before you buy!!!!!!!
I learned the hard way that Honda is having a major issue with the “RES”, rear entertainment system, of all 2018, 2019 models. There are numerous glitches through out the navigation, Bluetooth, dvd, blue ray and other bells and whistles. Honda is aware of this but does not have a fix for it. If you are lucky to have bought from an honest dealership than they will admit that they sold you the van knowing that it could possibly be back in less than 3 weeks. There are too many issues to list. Do your research or you will be researching yours states lemon law sooner than later.
