Used 2018 Honda Odyssey Touring 4dr Minivan (3.5L 6cyl 10A) Consumer Reviews
I love this car
I’ve had my 2018 Touring for nearly 5 years and 52k miles now and I love my car- enough that my when my husband surprised me with a 2021 Mercedes GLS, I sold it after two weeks and decided to keep the van (don’t get a GLS if you have 3 young children). The Odyssey is perfect for young families, with lots of cargo room, an easy rear entertainment system and super easy access to the third row with the magic slide seats. My son was only 3 when he got sent to the back row and I could easily reach him, to buckle or help him. There are plenty of spaces to keep snacks and supplies, the front open area by the center console is perfect for a small bag to throw trash, and the center console itself is spacious enough, especially now that we have a mask collection. The leather all still looks great after years abuse and the seats are great for car seats to easily be put in or removed. My gas mileage is ok, roughly 20 mpg with lots of carlines and city driving. The ride itself is smooth and the v6 is quick, for a van. When I got it, the Sienna was ancient, the Sedona was crap and I honestly just didn’t like the Pacifica (and I wanted those magic slide seats, which I have used a ton). If I were shopping today, I’d definitely check out the new Sienna with 36 mpg, and possibly the new Carnival. But honestly, I think I’d choose the Odyssey again, especially since it’s had no issues besides basic maintenance.

Run Away!!
I've owned a 2018 Odyssey Touring for almost 3 years. Unlike my 2010 Odyssey this one is a piece of junk. So far it's had 6 recalls for safety issues. Keep in mind that recalls are things that Honda has found to be cheaper to admit to and fix rather than doing nothing and letting people die due to a defected part or software glitch. Recalls do not include the little things that are more creature comforts. I've had to get a couple trim pieces replaced because they began to warp. My first winter I owned it I had no heat and was freezing in a new $45k van due to a blower motor in the front not working. Meanwhile, the blower motor for the second and third row also had to be replaced because it made a really loud and annoying noise anytime it was used. Due to the amount of vans with this problem the blower motor parts were on back order for several months. This also meant I had a brand new van in Texas with no air conditioning during summer!! I contacted Honda on Facebook and they immediately contacted me privately to look into the problem but due to the outrageous amount of blower motor failures Honda could not even estimate when it could be repaired. Another problem vehicles with push button gear shift have is the inability to put them into neutral if it does not start making it impossible to be towed except by a trained tow truck driver who knows how to manually put the transmission into neutral. At this time there’s been owners waiting hours for a tow because of this design flaw. My 2010 Odyssey that I owned for 7 years was a total beast. You could not kill that thing. The 2018 sits in the driveway and falls apart. I'm upside down in what I owe on this piece of crap otherwise I would have gotten rid of a year or two ago. The minute I can get rid of it I will so do yourself a favor and stay away.. far away from these things!
