Used 2018 Honda Odyssey Touring 4dr Minivan (3.5L 6cyl 10A) Consumer Reviews
3rd Honda Disappoints
Initially very impressed with the features, but execution and reliability ultimately caught up. We’ve had the vehicle since new, for a little over a year. This vehicle, by far, has been at the dealership more than any I’ve ever owned. Multiple recalls, the entertainment system went out, and most recently the front defrost didn’t blow any air causing a safety issue during a winter storm. Certainly not up to the reliability I expect of a Honda, but really I’d be disappointed no matter the brand. My advice, avoid the model and year at the very least.

Luxury minivan
Using Edmunds helped us find out what we could buy the vehicle for and negotiate with local dealers. We got a much better deal this way.

Luxurious!
The first time my husband and I saw this minivan, the first thing that came to mind was pure luxury. The seats are leather, but not stiff, very plush. Between the customizable driver’s preferences, a blu-ray player and adjustable climate control for driver, passenger and the back seats, everyone can be comfortable. Not to mention there are a myriad of other features such as Bluetooth phone connection, a built-in Garmin navigation system and heated seats, this van has all that we need and then some!

Worst Built Vehicle I Have Owned
I have owned vehicles from almost all brands from America and Asia and I thought I hit rock bottom owning a Chrysler until I bought a Honda. The 2018 Odyssey Touring I owned had the door seals broken when I bought it, moonroof seals were not aligned but at least it did not leak. The door tag with the VIN was broken and Honda would not replace it. The infotainment would freeze constantly and make a static noise. The rear DVD player would only work if it was 60 degrees or cooler, on warmer temperatures it would freeze. And the worst flaw was the passenger side power sliding door. Honda was sued for the infotainment issue and the Power Sliding Door defect, they never fixed either and provided 15,000-20,000 miles of added warranty to the issue as a settlement with no fix. Most car manufacturers would at least pretend to care or give you a lame excuse of why their vehicle is having an issue, but Honda would not acknowledge anything or care to respond. From the Dealer to Honda of North America, the service is atrocious.

Life time Honda fan, but no more!
I purchased a 2018 odyssey. It has been nothing but a problem. It was in the shop for more than 30 days right when I got it. It was declared a lemon. Then they replaced it with a new one. Within a year of having the new one, it needed a new transmission. This make and model and year has had nothing but issues. I owned the car for about 5 years and finally moved onto a different brand of car. It’s a shame that Honda has lost a lifetime customer. I felt a weight lifted off me once I changed brands of cars. Honda didn’t do anything about the continuing problems I had. I always had to dish out more money for things that went wrong. They should be ashamed of themselves for all the aggravation.
