Used 2016 Honda HR-V EX 4dr SUV (1.8L 4cyl CVT) Consumer Reviews
3 time Honda Owner
Great sub compact SUV. Great value for price but could use better interior design and give LED headlights and fog lights instead of the yellow halogen lights from the 1990’s. Had to install after market LED lights for both head and fog lights. The drive for this 2016 Honda HR V Ex AWD is ok feels like a civic. Could have given more horsepower instead of 140 in a SUV. You hear the wind noise driving. So better insulation for this as well. I’m a car lover so for me I would give this an overall rating of a 4 star.

Smooth roomy ride
I read the reviews before buying. Seems like the main negative comment was acceleration. I don't have any issues with that. I love the heated seats. It's comfy, great on gas and looks nice. My negative comment is not enough storage compartments in the front.

No Complaints
Owned 5 years and like it. 37-42 MPG Highway, about 32-35 MPG in town. Drives great, comfortable, just big enough. Wish it had more interior storage compartments, and an engine temp gauge (just has warning lights), and more storage compartments. Only problem so far was a bad tire. Took it to dealer to get a $20 tire repair and was told I needed a new tire. $265 later, I left with a new tire. Later found that the dealer charged more than $48 more than other places for the same exact Michelin tire. I expected the dealer to charge more, but not THAT much more. Lesson learned: never, ever buy tires from a dealer... To update this review: battery dead after 3 1/2 years. Tire and battery both replaced, and neither is Honda's fault. Just did the 30K service (even replaced the brake fluid for some reason?) spent a good bit but now I should be good for another 5 years.

Acceleration is Horrible
I'm really disappointed in the HR-V's acceleration - I have been waiting for well over 6 months for this vehicle to arrive in New Hampshire .... I'm so disappointed, my 2001 Honda Civic EX accelerates faster than this vehicle. -not sure what I'm going to do for a vehicle now considering I've had my heart set on this for almost a year

I LOVE my HR-V!!
I actually had to order my HR-V due to the color I wanted (green). After owning it since Oct 3, 2015, I only have one issue....the digital dash (odometer, gas gauge, mpg, etc) doesn't come on in the cold weather. I'm working with my dealership to try to get this fixed but it's expensive. However, this was my very first NEW car purchase and I still love my 'Esmerelda'! Get up and go for highway driving is a little lacking, but I've also driven nothing but 4 cylinder engine cars for years. I absolutely love the lane view for the right turn signal! I don't have all the new safety features...but I have to say that when the time comes to replace her, I'm strongly considering getting another HR-V.
