2016 Honda Fit EX
My review for the 2016 Honda Fit EX will be in comparison to the 2009 Subaru Impreza we own, as well as other vehicles we've owned. We're very pleased with our Fit EX. We average a combined 38MPG, with highway driving around 44MPG, and city driving around 34MPG. The ride is comfortable; the seats and interior room is very comfortable (Far superior than our Subaru), and the interior quality is very good. Road noise is surprisingly quieter compared to our Subaru, however, there's no missing it when you hit a pothole or bump in the road. The wind noise in the Fit is virtually undetectable even at highway speeds of up to 65mph (great job Honda). We've been very pleased with the interior trim and build quality. The electronics/entertainment isn't top notch but it's satisfactory. Exterior visibility is comparable to other vehicles, with an advantage to rear visibility. The back up camera & lane watch camera are definitely a wonderful feature, but not a requirement because of the nice large side mirrors and rear visibility. Acceleration is more than adequate for rapid acceleration onto highways or when needed, & we've not been disappointed at all. We would highly recommend the Honda Fit EX. Minor Cons: The intermittent wipers have no variable setting. Slightly firm ride, and potholes or large bumps in the road are very noticeable. The long distance illumination is very good with high beams, however, because the fog lights and low beam lights turn off, it causes the immediate road area to become rather dimly lit. I'm planning on easily fixing this issue by adding an additional set of LED driving lights to come on only when the high beam lights are on. (Low beam illumination is excellent) The audio system is good, but it lacks a little on the low end bass. (Not bad, just not quite enough bass). Engine noise does become apparent when accelerating hard, but not much more than other cars do. Furthermore, once up to speed, the engine noise is not at all any worse than other cars. Major Cons: Absolutely nothing Additional notes to be aware of if you're in the market. The "2015" Honda Fit models were made in Mexico & had a series of quality issues due to an inexperienced work force. However, the "2016" Honda Fit models are now made in Japan, & the build quality is noticeably better. If you're in the market for a Honda or already own one, look at the first digit of the VIN# to know where it was made. 1 = USA 2 = Canada 3 = Mexico J = Japan Update: 12-11-16 I've replaced the halogen bulbs with LED lights, & it's significantly better. Previously, the halogen low beams would turn off when halogen high beams were turned on, which causes the road to darken. However, with the led bulbs the low beam bulb remains on & greatly improves visibility in combination with the high beams. I have to admit, when my wife initially suggested this vehicle, I specifically remember telling her "Are you crazy?!, we'll be sitting on each other's lap whenever we go anywhere.". Now, I recant that statement to tell you this car is surprisingly roomy inside, & you need to try one to realize it; don't judge it by how small it looks from the outside. It's roomy. Update: 6-16-17 Not much to update you about. I've managed to squeeze 48MPG by driving conscientiously. I also discovered a feature I hadn't been told about. The rear passenger seats have a two position reclining option. If the rear seat back is collapsed to the floor, you simply lift it up and push it toward the hatch to lock the seat into position for passengers to sit. However, if you lift the catch release lever on the top of the seat & gently push it back, it will recline a small bit further. It's designed with this feature, but I honestly believe the salesmen/saleswomen didn't know about it. I was pleasantly surprised by it, lol. Update: 6-14-18 We still love this car. The only new con would be some disappointment with the Radio Head Unit. Don't misunderstand me though, it's a good Head Unit that serves its purpose, but I have a growing disappointment with its lack of mirroring compatibility for android phones & the lack of ability to add additional apps to it for android phones, such as google maps. The head unit has GPS actively built into it & is capable, but Honda has locked it to prevent owners from utilizing it with other apps. I get that Honda want us to buy their map program, but that's ridiculously expensive. Update: 12-15-18 We love this car. Newest con developement is it failed to pass state inspection at just under 50k miles due to a rear shock leaking. Fortunately, we purchased the extended warranty and it was covered 100%. Otherwise it would have cost us $600+ dollars to replace both rear shocks.

Great small car at great price
I was driving a Subaru WRX STI for several years. Excellent performance in every category, but less than ideal gas mileage. I recently changed job and need to commute farther and park at a train station. Worried about if the STI would get tampered with at the train station, I decide to downgrade and get a cheap car with great gas mileage, great cargo space and good reliability. After reading many online reviews (including other subcompacts) and looking at some pictures of the Honda Fit EV, I decided to purchase it without test driving. With the expectation of the car taking me from A to B without fanfare, I am totally surprised by how good the car is. By the way, I just bought the car for only three days. I can't wait to tell people how good this little subcompact is. I really like the Aegean Blue Metallic and the exterior style is just sleek and modern. Interior is roomy with decent fit and finish. Great fit and finish is the hallmark of Honda. Seats are reasonably comfortable, but may not be ideal for very long road trip. Cargo space is fantastic for a car this size. The magic seat is purely "magic". Gas mileage (approx. 38 mpg city/highway mixed) is awesome compared to 21 mpg I got from the Subaru WRX STI. Performance wise, I am not comparing it to the STI. Doing so would be unfair. Totally two different cars for different purposes. Coming from the STI though, the Fit was quite good in the handling department. It is nimble and easy to control. Steering wheel is light for easy maneuver. Parking is easy as it is small and it has a backup camera to assist. I am not going to cry about the loud engine noise during acceleration that many people (including reviewers) complained. Remember it is a 1.5 liter small engine. No comparison to the STI's 2.5L turbo charged engine producing 305 horse power. Even with its small and modest engine, it was surprisingly quite quick starting from a stop light and merging into highway traffic. I don't feel someone is going to smash on me because I was slow accelerating. I think the acceleration is adequate if not thrilling. Its 2,600 lb. curb weight actually helps on acceleration as a matter of fact. Yes, there is some wind noise at highway speed, but it is expected for an economical car like the Fit. Braking is adequate as it only has disc brakes in front and drum brakes in the rear. My "fast & furious" era is gone as I am getting older and am more practical. I am totally happy with the 2016 Honda Fit EX which is an excellent buy in the automotive subcompact territory. What a great car for commute and occasional cargo hauling. I have to wait and see how reliable it is over time and the maintenance cost. Overall, this car is an excellent choice if you are looking at subcompact vehicles.

2016 Honda Fit - a review from a single female.
Before purchasing this vehicle I had a Honda Fit Sport I purchased new in 2010. I was in an accident where someone rear ended me going about 30 mph. The entire left side curtain airbag deployed. I was the driver and the only person in the car at the time of the accident. This accident totaled the car. I was so highly impressed how safe such a small car really was in an accident at that impact was, I was determined to replace it with a new Honda Fit. The Honda fit that was in the accident was silver, so I wanted something different. I really wanted a Modern Steel Metallic. None were available in a 200 mile radius of my area I was told. I had to drive an hour away from my home to get a Aegean Blue Metallic. White and silver seemed the only colors local available. I was surprised at the features you get with the car for the price. The Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Guidelines, Right side cam for merging, Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® and Streaming Audio, Multi-Reflector Halogen Headlights with Auto-On/Off. None of those came with the 2010 Honda Fit sport I had prior. I'm one person, no kids. I don't need a big vehicle, so that considered this was great for me considering the price. I didn't purchase a luxury vehicle so I like to show people the new features it came with for just an average car. I've only owned it a month, so I can't say much past how it compares to the 2010 I had. But I'm happy with the purchase and got more than what I expected.

Love the CVT
This is the first time I have received wildly different price quotes on a small car like this. Shopping around really paid off. As for the car, I love it. This was my first automatic, and I was concerned that I would find it dull, but it is still fun to drive. I have read a few people complaining about the CVT making noise in the lower gears, but for someone who is used to manual transmissions, I like the fact that I can detect its downshifting. I have only driven the car 500 miles, but I am getting 40 MPG combined driving--better than with my old manual Fit.

Happy new lessor!
Nearly everything has been spectacular with this car! We're getting 33 City / 42 Highway, exactly as advertised. I've never driven a CVT before and find it to be quite easy to use and peppy. Very comfortable seats all around, even for my 6'1" father to ride in the back. Cargo room is incredible for such a small car (and even compared to many larger cars) - we could easily replace our van with this for 99% of cargo needs. If you had to press me to complain about something, the only negative I can think of is that the door panel isn't as thick as those on my previous cars, and I like to rest my arm there on long trips. Rush out and get one!

The Fit fits!
Just picked up a beautiful white 2016 Fit EX, only have a couple days driving it, but great so far. As far as I'm aware there was little to no change from the 2015, since it was completely redone at that time. I love the styling, the EX level tires and wheels look great. I'm not a big fan of Firestone tires in general, but these seem just fine. I don't need nav, and the leather seating and heated seats were not important to me. The trim upgrades from the LX model add the right amount of niceties - wheels, sunroof, better sound, bluetooth, cameras, keyless, etc - really offers a great value for the money. So far in town driving is getting 33-34 mpg. I'm excited to see how it improves as the engine gets broken in. Rear seat comfort and room seems really good, as well as cargo room. My two teenagers fit fine in the back. Three smaller kids would fit fine too, but if you have a carseat, fitting two more back there would be a squish. I guess I should say its perfect for my needs (I haul medical equipment around Phoenix metro, the cargo capabilities are more than adequate for me). Honda did a great job with this, there are a few nitpicky things, but as a whole this car is fantastic. Cons (in my opinion) - When driving, even with the shiny, well thought-out facade, its obvious that its still a subcompact economy car underneath. It's not an Accord, or even a Civic (but I new that going in, and i'm fine with it). Honda did a good job with muffling sounds, but the doors still close with a slight 'tin-can' feel, road noise is pretty evident, ride is pretty firm and a bit choppy over bumps, and the CVT does drone on initially. My old trusty 2005 Civic has a plusher ride, but to me it's not a deal breaker. I do worry a little about seat comfort on long road trips, i'm 6'1" and could use even one more inch of legroom while driving. The most annoying thing for me is the lack of volume nob. I really thought that would be the least of my worries, it does bother me more than I thought it would. But if this is the worst thing then i'll be just fine! Overall an excellent economy car. If you are shopping, make sure you drive one to get the feel of it. I highly recommend! **1 year update** I have almost 19000 miles on it now, zero problems, averaging almost 38mpg on each tank in mixed driving, seats are comfy, back seat is adequate for 2 adults, cargo area is really good for what I need. I've owned several Hondas and their A/C systems all seem to struggle during our hottest summer days here in AZ, the Fit is no different. My Chevys and Toyotas don't have the same issue. But that's my only complaint. Well, that and no volume dial - Honda please fix that! Love my Fit, highly recommend!

Handy Runabout
Some positives: It has a right side blind spot camera! It has excellent visibility. This particular trim level has keyless entry and push button start which we find quite desirable. It has a rear view camera. Negatives: Although the braking is very good, the rear brakes are not disk type. (It does have some sort of ABS.) It has small car ride and typical Honda road noise, but they are not bad, better than some earlier versions of various Honda models. We have gotten 41.5 mpg overall for the life of the car.

Love it!
I love my cute new car. I've only owed it for a week, but it's been great. Easy to drive, comfortable, plenty of storage despite its small size. Easy to park and maneuver in small spaces. Feels fine on a highway but clearly it isn't a luxury car. My biggest complaint is the small capacity of the fuel tank. It is cheap to fill, but is required every 350 miles. Given its great mpg it's disappointing how often it need to be refueled. Now I've had the car for three years. Haven't had a single mechanical problem. Still runs just like I got it. 38 mpg combined is about right but needs refueling every 300 miles or so. Otherwise it's been a great little car. Still love how easy it is to park and maneuver in cities. We've taken it in many 500 mile trips and it does great. Except for the wishing there was more leg room in front passenger area. When there are only two of us I wish the passenger could spread out better. But the back has surprising leg space considering. I love the rear space especially when the seats are down! Great car!

It's my Tardis!!
This is a great car!! I call it my Tardis because it is a lot bigger inside than it looks! My son has no trouble sitting in the back and he's 6' and the size of a linebacker! It handles great in the snow!! No regrets what so ever.

Thoughts on Purchasing a 2016 Honda Fit
Positives: The 2016 Honda Fit is a visually attractive car with its sleek design. Although it looks very small on the outside, it is plenty roomy on the inside. I have to admit that I did have to adjust the steering wheel height to gain some extra space. The entertainment features (MP3, Bluetooth) are phenomenal and making the driving experience even better. The gas mileage is insane and I love the dashboard color feature that alerts you to how fuel efficient you are driving. I also love that because I am taller than the vehicle, cleaning the exterior is a breeze. Negatives: There are not too many negatives with this car except for the acceleration. When stepping on the gas after a dead stop, the car seems to take a few seconds to get up to optimal driving speed (e.g. 0 to 40 mph). I suspect that it may be a function of the CVT, which I am still getting used to.

Great Second Car
It is not a touring sedan is designed for economical operation. I owned a 2012 Fit and this is a very much updated and redesigned model with lots of bells and whistles. It is a great car for the huge cargo space and great gas mileage.

LOVE MY FIT
I wanted a Prius. I had wanted one forever. I test drove a Prius several times. The regular Prius I found to be way too expensive, and the Prius-C, which I test drove, didn't have a lot of power. I still wanted it and kept looking. I had seen the Fit, and I have been a Honda girl for years. I test drove the Fit and I was in love. I found it had more power than the Prius-C, and I liked the interior much better. All the reviews I had read on the Prius-C said try the Honda Fit or the Ford Focus for that type of small, economical car. The price on my Fit was MUCH better than the Prius-C. I'm not knocking the Prius at all - it is a wonderful car, but I decided on the Fit based on the test drive, the interior, and the price. I also loved the color I got (the dark gray gun metal). The gas mileage is fantastic. It usually tells me I am getting about 41 MPG, sometimes 38 MPG - and with my own calculations based on the amount of gas I put it, I am getting 40 MPG. The interior is very comfortable, and I love the visibility with all the windows. The hatchback has plenty of room for my needs - I have always had a hatchback and it is comparable to other cars I have had. The back seat is super roomy and comfortable. So far, I have only found one thing to complain about - HONDA LISTEN UP: On the steering wheel controls, the Cruise Control is on the right. The radio controls are on the left. That should be reversed. You automatically tend to operate the radio with the right hand - on the right side, and the cruise control should be on the left. That is the ONLY thing I can complain about. A/C works good, and I use the ECONO mode all the time to save gas - I don't notice a big difference, but when I need a little power, I turn the ECONO mode off. I only have 1,000 miles on my new Fit, but so far, I love love love it.

Great value for the money
We needed a car for NYC driving and parking. The Fit is a terrific choice for us. It's a lot of car for the money. The cargo capacity is nothing short of amazing. The electronics are great for this price point. The seats are reasonably comfortable- more so with seat cushions to provide additional back support. The braking is mediocre at best although we feel relatively safe while driving. The car is relatively quiet but does get blown around in windy conditions. As is typical of a Honda, everything works well and is well thought out. Its proven to be reliable and durable. It's a great choice for a small, inexpensive car.

The Fit Just Keeps Getting Better
This 2016 Fit is the third Fit our family has purchased. It has improved in almost every way. Better power, better fuel economy, better interior design. The only glaring flaw is the low rent front seats, at least on our cloth model. The seats in our 2009 Fit were much more supportive and comfortable than these new ones. They are flat, yet somehow feel uneven to sit on and offer minimal support.

excellent design
I'm 75" tall and it is relatively easy to get in and out and reasonably comfortable to drive considering it is an economy car. The "magic" rear seats are brilliant. I have dogs (Australian Shepherds) and they ride conveniently in the back with the seats folded down. With the seats up there is a nice space for grocery bags, and the seats are easy to manipulate into position.

First time Honda Owner
I purchased the 2016 Honda Fit when the front suspension needed replacing in my trusty 2003 Toyota RAV. I loved the RAV but couldn't justify the investment of an expensive repair. Budget-wise, it was not an opportune time for me to buy a new car so it was important to find an economical solution. The new RAV's were now too large for me so I needed to find something else. I wanted a car that got great ratings & reviews, good crash test scores, excellent gas mileage, has lots of cargo space & a low price tag. After researching thoroughly, the Honda Fit was the only vehicle that met all of my criteria.

Two years, 30,000 miles, no regrets so far
This is an update after owning the 2016 Fit for two years. I drive about 25,000 miles a year between all three of my cars. The fit, however, has suited me better than any of them. I've owned five cars since I turned sixteen, and this I bought brand new after working insane hours to buy it in cash straight out. I drive aggressively, yet safely. I've put this car to the test in the most extreme conditions anybody should drive in. I've taken countless road trips, but the most challenging one for the car and I was a round trip from Washington to Arizona and back, where temperatures hit nearly 122 degrees. No problems, and a consistent 45-50 mpg's. First off, this is not a fast car. Don't get your hopes up in regards to that. It drives like a Honda should, but the CVT takes any fun out of the acceleration that could be present. In corners, it plows like a bus falling off a cliff. Overall, it is fairly sporty though. The audio system is more than satisfactory, I always use AUX though because the bluetooth and USB couldn't be worse. A lot of bass and clarity makes up for that. Rear leg room is incredible, although I believe part of that is because the drivers seat feels cramped. Take that with a grain of salt though, because I am 6'4". Get five people under 200 pounds in the car and it squats like it's been slammed. That also kills performance. This car struggles to carry it's own weight, let alone five adults. The driver seat is supportive but more lumbar would be appreciated. In the summer, I average 40 mpg's. In the winter, where I drove from -5 degrees to 15 degrees, I got 30 on average. One time, snow packed under the skid plate and knocked it down. I re-secured it with zip ties because Honda wanted to charge me an unreasonable amount. That brings me to another gripe, Honda, specifically Hinshaw's in Auburn Washington is less than acceptable with customer service. I don't speak rudely or anything, but time after time they disappoint me with rudeness and scoffs. I stopped going there because I was so tired of them. One time they changed my oil but didn't replace anything else because they went on lunch break. My car came back with empty washer fluid, black air filter, and not vacuumed or washed. Anyways, storage is great, and the car has never failed me.

Definitely "Fit" for me!
This car is absolutely amazing! I own the EX version and I've never been more in love! It's comfy and super easy to steer, not to mention the awesome turn radius. It's super compact and can fit in tight places. Really great gas mileage especially with the econ button. The Honda lane watch is the best invention ever making it super easy to take turns and see into your blind spot. I would recommend this car to everyone!

Used 2015 Honda Fit Two year update
Updated on June 24, 2019: In May 2017, after extensive car research and reading ALL positive 5 star online reviews, I bought my daughter a used 2015 Fit EX for college graduation. I own two other Hondas both with over 289k miles. Still running.... love Hondas. We took a road trip from NC to PA through West Virginia for a Christmas visit to test it out. POSITIVES: It gets over 42 MPG. It climbed the WV mountains fluidly and powerfully without excessive downshift. The "Lane Watch" is super and helpful when merging right. The ride is smooth, the steering is responsive with a tight turning radius. Great headroom, nice moon roof, and lots of legroom in the back seat. Cargo room is unbelievable. Almost as much as my van with back seats hidden. We got a full size futon in it! Fun to drive. The NEGATIVES are: the excessive road noise (which is similar to my van) the touch screen radio...complicated to adjust, knobs are much better. Seats are flat and fatigue your back and rump on long drives (needs more foam!) Serious negatives discovered since purchase are: the wiper fluid tubes under the thin plastic hood (bonnet) cowling next to the winshield (windscreen) freeze solid in the winter and don't work...DANGEROUS...another lady in the same year Fit was at the same rest stop with the same problem in a blinding blizzard. We had to share a hair dryer to melt the fluid and clean the windows. You MUST use fluid with alcohol in it that cannot freeze if in cold areas of the country....even if just visiting for the holidays. We have replaced the brand new tires already as they cupped badly in less than a year; not knowing that the Fit rear axel is a fixed one (design flaw) and any slight front alignment issue cups the tires. $800 for new Michelins as very few companies make "skinny tires" for the Fit sport wheels. The alignment must be adjusted every time the oil is changed or as often as possible. We have replaced the under-motor plastic dirt shield 4x at $230 a pop! In two years. The car rides with such a low road clearance, that if you go over speed bumps or railroad tracks as slow as possible, it still knocks it loose then splits it in half. My daughter is a recent college grad with school loans and can't afford all of these constant repairs, so I am paying! As a teacher in a rural country area...she encounters speed bumps and tracks galore! The mechanics see her so often, that they removed the mounting screws and use zip ties to keep the shield on until it splits in half again! They suggested she leave it off, but it protects the oil pan and other low hanging engine parts. She still likes her car and so do I, but it is really a city car for smooth roads, or people that don't drive too much. Had ANY of the online reviews mentioned the low ride and clearance, and the non-adjustable fixed rear axel, I would have bought her a Honda CRZ, Mazda 3 5- door, or Hundai Elantra 5 - door instead. A shame Honda. Just insulate the windscreen washer tubes, add ergonomic foam to the seats, and raise the suspension up an inch or two! Problems would be solved and car would be 5 stars.

Great little car
We traded in RAV 4 for this car after some engine trouble in the RAV. To us, the interior seems almost as roomy. We miss the arm rest in the front seat though. When I pay so little for gas each week, it seems like the greatest car ever!

Still a Great Car
This car fits our needs perfectly. We now have 20,000 miles on it and it is great. it average 45.2mpg. We've used it for hauling yard waste etc. to the dump finding it holds an incredible amount. This is the best Honda we've had. It's a fun car to drive and cruises comfortable at highway speeds without sacrificing fuel savings.

Reliable - Every person car
Update: mileage continues to deliver and may have even improved as I figured out that I got better mileage without the eco button on (and better performance). The high pillars in the back continue to prove a bit challenging for blind spot detection and if you can afford it, highly recommend the lane change protection. Still a really good car, very happy with it. On the cosmetic side, like many less expensive vehicles the seat fabric shows a bit of wear after a couple of years use which is apparent in some of the higher cost vehicles I have owned. The Fit is fit for purpose! It let's my family have the space we need for pre-school and kindergarten. Love the room in the back seat for my family and the price point. I didn't want a mini-van, and didn't want a midsize vehicle (in he outside). I am a hatchback fan and love the visibility that the this car has. Only drawback so far is the lane change on the central display isn't that helpful for me, and I rely on the mirrors instead.

The C-47 Cargo Plane of hatchbacks
I went to a recent auto show with my eye out for something to replace my venerable ford ranger pickup with cap. I had 3 criteriums. It had to be economical, it had to have easy entry and exit and...it HAD to have the capacity to allow me to carry my road bike INSIDE. I went over these points with the sales gal. She excused herself for a moment and when she reappeared she was wheeling 2 traditional frame city bikes (courtesy of two of the guys they'd hired to keep the vehicles shining) Lowering both the rear seats, she grabbed one bike and -handlebars first- guided it in to the Fits cargo area. Rear wheel first the second bike went in and she closed the hatch. ...Truth? I bought the car (well, a disco silver version..the mind boggling blue wasn't something I could live with)the next day. Know those 3' tall fridges you take up to the summer cottage? Pull the drivers side rear seat up and fold it back and you can carry one upright in this vehicle! The manual for me is a nice touch. ..I love manual gear boxes. That I was able to get cruise control (standard) with a manual was icing on the cake. The performance is decent enough (I had a 132hp 3600 pound ford truck ) and the fuel economy will put a smile on your face every fillup.

Goid car but a few negatives
I have had my 2016 Honda Fit for about a month now. A few negatives: Excessive wind noise from front windshield when going over 45 mph...Passenger front window is very slow going up and down at times...the Ac vent air blows hard when decelerating and blows less hard when accelerating. ..and last, the engine pings loud at idle. I have addressed these issues with the dealership to see if these are common for the fit and I have yet to hear back from them. Its been 4 days. The fit is peppy enough and has plenty of room for my large dogs. I don't like the fact that these only come with black interior. .Dog hair and dirt really show up. Also, they don't come with floor mats. How stupid is that? Rubber mats from Honda are 170 bucks. Carpeted floor mats are over 300 bucks. Gas mileage is Good but gas tank is too small. Fuel like comes on at about 8 gallons. Too small. Also, no wheels...it has hub caps! Gross!! As soon as I can save some money i am going to get some wheels. I tinted the windows that made it look a little better. To me, this looks just like a small van. That's about it. Hope this helps in making your decision whether to buy one or not.

Love the gas mileage on this little car, wish it had a bit more get up and go, but it is a 4 cylinder. Overall am very happy with my new no frills auto.

Love it!
It's not a luxury car by anyone's standards, but it is a great little car with a very large cargo capacity. The Magic Seats are fantastic and the fact they can be folded completely flat makes the rear cargo space so much more useful. Gas mileage is outstanding. Yeah, there is road noise, but just turn up the stereo! Love the huge screen to see my backup camera. This is my second FIT and will not be my last. There is so much to use and appreciate included in this car! I've put 25000 miles on it and had no problems other than a battery going bad which was promptly replaced under Warranty. I call this FIT my Little pick-up truck.

The Fit fits everything
If you're in the market for a sub compact vehicle with mid size interior room, the Honda Fit is the best in its class. It's truly amazing how much room this vehicle has on the interior. I joke with others by describing it as a microvan, lol. I purchased my new 2016 Honda Fit EX as soon as they rolled out onto the dealership lots near the end of 2015, and I have absolutely no regrets. Honda continues to have an excellent reputation for comfort, safety, and reliability above all other car manufacturers. Prior to purchasing my Honda Fit, I was also considering the Nissan Versa Note. The Nissan Versa Note was a couple thousand dollars less in total cost, but the Honda had some key advantages over Nissan that I felt made the Fit worth the extra expense. Safety is one of my highest priorities when purchasing a vehicle, and while the Nissan Versa Note is a safe vehicle, it didn't have daytime running lights, automatic locking doors, or automatic headlights on that the Honda Fit has standard. Furthermore, the collision safety rating for the Honda Fit was better than the Nissan Versa Note. Additionally, the Honda Fit has other features I feel are important and worth it, such as a more powerful engine, moon roof, more cargo space, better climat control effectiveness, slightly better handling, and a slightly quieter ride than the Nissan Versa Note. I love my Honda Fit so much, I purchased the full grown version of the Fit (2018 Honda HR-V EX AWD) one week ago (7-28-18), and my wife is now enjoying the 2016 Honda Fit EX. Lastly, Honda vehicles are well known to have one of the greatest reliability ratings, and I've come to also recognize that Honda is aggressively proactive toward making their vehicles the safest and most reliable vehicles to own. Again, if you're in the market for a vehicle, choose wisely and keep safety at the top of your list.

My new "Yellow Tweedy Bird"
I love Honda and I love Honda Fits. I had a sport model for 8 years. Did like it better as it had fun wheel rims and much more speed. For some reason they discontinued this model. The new one is fine , but it doesn't get the gas mileage that it said on the sticker. I don't think it's broken in enough yet however; so I am reserving judgement on that right now. Seems to be a lot roomer than the old one. Miss the boxes in the wall in the trunk area from the old one. The other thing is the "junk" box between the 2 front seats is very awkward to get into. The top raises from the front and you can't see inside. I think it should have opened on the side. Also very small, like it was an after thought. The seat fold down in the back is much easier than the old one as you don't have to remove the headrests to put them down. I also like the cup holder on the dash by the steering wheel! Very convenient to grab a drink without looking down! I do wish that the windows would come tinted as some of my friends new cars did. Has lots of plugs for the tech stuff. Even one in the "junk" box. It does have a lot of road noise. I have read that you can have soundproofing put in. I may have to look into that. Otherwise, so far it's another great purchase.

Honda Fit Is it really Fit?
I read all the reviews and thought I would get one. The reviews on them seemed so good, but when I took it for a test drive the erratic noise level drove me nuts. the Fit has way too little noise padding in it . I have had an older Honda Civic that I cut and placed heavy rubber back carpeting over everything I could. I would think that would be a consideration if you buy this.

Should have got a Fit instead of the Fiesta 4 year
The newer model of Fit get better gas mileage and looks a little sportier. My only real complaint is the lack of entertainment center options and lack of support for Android Auto and similar products.

back pain
i liked everything about the fit except my back was hurting after a 20 minute test drive that is why I am looking at other cars. If they put in better seats I would buy this car in a minute. Hope Honda gets this message..........

Great little commuter
If you are looking for a smaller sized commuter, I found the Honda Fit to be the best value by a wide margin.

Best, most practical subcompact
Everything about this car was designed to maximize practicality. It is roomy, comfortable, and has a nice seating position which all make it feel larger than it is while still being so easy to park in tight spaces. I bought this car because it was supposed to be the most fuel efficient tiny car without a complex and expensive hybrid system and I am not disappointed. I regularly get over 53 miles/gallon and when I speed with the AC on I can still get over 40 without much effort. I don't understand how this car is so efficient when similar vehicles get comparatively abysmal mileage. This is the perfect car for anyone who needs a car they can put a lot of miles on for almost nothing in gas and maintenance, which is why these cars seem to hold their value so well. The only thing I wish it had was Apple CarPlay, which the newer models do have. I will be buying a second fit when I get the chance.

Very nice small car
When buying a small car one of the last things to consider is the "what if" something with larger needs occurs. I am pleased to say nothing has occured. This car has so much more usable room than my Hyundai Elantra I marvel every day. The little car that could. And 43 mog on highway at 70-75. Wonderful car.

2nd of Three Fits owned
I really like the 2019 model. The 2016 is great, but there are nice improvements like adjustable intermittent wiper speed, the seat cover is better quality for keeping stain-free, and there is Honda Sensing to alert on lane drifting and several other safety assists.

Decent car
The navigation on the touch screen is not as intuitive as you'd think. For making the UI like a mobile app, the menus and where customization or settings should be can be confusing. To select a different bluetooth device for audio, it is not in the audio menu - you have to go to settings> audio> bluetooth devices I believe. Small gripe, but overall after a month I really am enjoying the car.

Faulty Fuel Injectors
Warning: If you are interested in purchasing a Honda because it is know as a reliable brand, please be aware that some vehicles have faulty fuel Injectors that fail and need to be replaced for $2,000 right after the 3 year warranty expires. This was the case for my 2016 Fit and Honda refused to do the right thing even though it is a common issue and design flaw.

Sparky Fit
Major electrical issues. Engine just stops, at 75 or 25, it doesn't make a difference. Bluetooth doesn't work. Radio changes stations by itself, modes change by itself. The dealer says that there is nothing wrong with it, but when I took it to an independent garage, they showed 17 error codes when hooked up to the diagnostic device. What a piece of junk

exceptional car ... in every way
We bought our yellow 2016 Honda Fit EX in April 2018. It had 13,845 km. 2 1/2 years / 32,000 km later ... this has been an exceptional car ... in every way: fuel economy, performance, looks (it's yellow!), and especially it's versatile interior. We have carried 4 people, we've carried two kayaks on the roof, we've gone camping with three adults and three bikes on the roof, and we've done 4000 km camping trips with two people for two weeks with all our tenting/hiking/biking gear and two full suspension mountain bikes **inside** to maintain aerodynamics on the roof. (The secret is to fully remove the two rear seats as per a YouTube hack.) Who needs an SUV?

Seats do not "Fit" - they cause back pain!
Bad seats - too soft, flat backs without any lumbar support. The seats are like sitting on a memory foam marshmallow without support. The side bolsters are squishy and do not provide support. Be very, very certain that your back is comfortable in the seats of this car before you buy or lease! I would suggest a 30-60 minute test drive to be certain. I am not tall - I am only 5’4” and 130 pounds, but these seats are not capable of providing support to my small body. I took three test drives of the 2016 Honda Fit. Each was the typical 10-15 minute test drive. I thought I liked the car - it seemed comfortable and like a peppy little fuel efficient car. Except that it is noisy - but I thought I could live with the noise. One test drive was one day, the other two test drives were about a month later on the day I leased the car. Then the worst thing possible happened. The next day after signing my lease papers my back started to hurt. The following day it hurt even more. I only have a 20-minute driving commute, but that is enough for the soft, squishy Honda Fit seats to do their damage. I tried various aftermarket lumbar cushions without success. They either did not work or pushed me too far forward over the edge of the seat. So I could not use any of them. Honda’s customer service department was unwilling to help - since it is not something under warranty. It is just a design defect. An acceptable design flaw. One that your back will suffer with as long as you own the car! My only solution - my wonderful wife is able to drive the car without back pain. So we have swapped cars, and now we are both unhappy with that situation but at least neither of us has back pain. This is our fourth and final Honda. When this lease ends, no more Hondas for us! Just say “NO” to Honda. Friends don’t let friends drive a Honda Fit.

honda gouges customer for basic accessories
Honda charges extra for what I consider basic accessories. Floor mats and cargo cover are extra $600!! try to get the dealer to include these items. my previous 3 hatchbacks purchases included carpeted floor mats and cargo cover. I assumed they ere included with the Honda fit! I was wrong and it cost me almost $600.
