Heck of a deal
Just got it, but is incredibly fun to drive, and the price is right. Where else can you get a fully loaded "sport" model at this price point. Only thing is in this area, their is about an eight week waiting list to purchase one. I had to travel an hour and an half round trip to pick one up.
Fit for anyone
What possessed Honda USA to market the Fit to the Y-generation? After years of driving stodgy domestic makes, my wife and I (both baby boomers) love our new Fit. Even my 80-something mother likes the look of it. Its quick to accelerate, has an easy throwing shifter, takes corners well, and clutches with little effort. I'm glad the color is "Lunar Mist" (really a sky blue) and not cop-attracting red.

Honda FIT Quality
This is my first Honda. I have had the car for 4 weeks and I am very impressed with the quality that Honda delivers at this price point. The car is quick and nimble with the 5-Speed manual transmission. Also lots of fun to drive. I bought this car for the excellent gas millage and I am getting around 33 MPG in combination of highway (with traffic) and around town. This car has lots of room. I am 6' 2" and there is plenty of headroom and ample legroom. No complaints from the back seat either. The Honda engineers really maximize the interior space for such a small car. The seats fold in many different configuations to accomadate various cargo.
my review
Purchased the FIT April 22, Vivid Blue Pearl. MT-base model. Went on a road trip a few weeks back, about 2hrs 45 mins on back country roads, to camp for the weekend. One tank last the trip there/back and then some. Fuel light came on @ 398 miles! It's fun to drive handles well on all driving conditions. I love this car!
The Fit is GO!
I have been driving my Fit for nearly a year and I am extremely impressed and satisfied with my purchase. It is a wonderful car and Honda has done a fantastic job assembling a fun, economic, small yet spacious, and overall great car in its Fit.
Buy it just for the fun of it!
I bought it for my wife who is a SUV driver. She absolutely loves it. She doesn't complain about the size or the power. I drove it for a couple of hundred miles and it was a blast to drive. Stock stereo is quite good. The origami seats are really innovative. I'd recommend a sport model with a stick shift. Stock tires are O.K but with low profile tires you are going to love it even more. We are getting 36MPG on both city driving and highway. Be prepared for the firm ride.
I love my new fit!
Incredibly comfortable interior. I fit an enormous dryer in the back by putting the back seats down! It may look small, but it's HUGE inside. It's fun to drive, especially with a standard transmission, and feels completely in your control. A great value- fantastic fuel economy. Sporty, useful, adorable, fun! This is my second car. The Fit is fun to drive and I know it will last for years!
What a Buy!
Once the design is seen in person it is hard not to marvel and once you get it home and are able to play with all the extras (like the aux input, seat folding etc) it is amazing that so much comes in small packages.
You Gals will Love This Car
I have had this car for almost a week now and it is one of the best cars I have ever driven. With gas prices heading no where but up it's a good choice for us ladies who care little about speed and performance. The safety devices include six air bags and although it's a small car it feels so roomy on the inside. The ease of reconfiguring the seating is really nice. Don't even have to worry about breaking a nail when doing it. The controls are easy to understand and readilly accessable. It's the perfect Mom or Grandma car but I feel that the guys may not feel manly enough driving it. I chose the Sport Automatics since I like all the added features in the package. FIT is GO for us Gals!
A Fun and More Practical Mini Cooper
This little car is worth a purchase if you are looking to save some money. It is extremely fun to drive, has a great looking interior, cargo space is suprisingly big (although it doesn't look it), and it is a Honda. This car has good acceleration, is lively on the highway even with 4 people in the car (though some may not think so)... remember this is not a Porsche. The magic seats are a great feature to load large items that a sedan will never be able to store. Test drive it and you will see what I mean.
Great versatility for the money!
I traded in a Honda Accord EX - we wanted a smaller, more fuel efficient vehicle. The other MAJOR bonus is the possible seat configurations. For those of you who may occasionally need to haul something, but don't want an SUV, the seats are awesome. The interior space feels much larger than the car actually is; I was worried that the car might feel toy-like because of the size. I should have known better. It's a Honda - it feels solid and rides smoothly. The amazing part is, there isn't very much difference in seating and storage space than the Accord I had. The only significant difference we noticed was the depth b/t the front and back seats. Overall, we're loving our little FIT! GO!
07' HONDA FIT
I think that the car is expensive. Sometimes I regret buying the car. I guess it is ok and if it lasts for a long time then it is worth what I am paying for it.
Great car
Love this car. Tons of room inside. I can easily fit in it front or back and I am 6'4". I can put my bike in with the back seats down, and I don't even have to remove the front tire. Moved my whole office in one trip too. Super easy to park, and am getting lots of admirers.
Great people and cargo hauler
After 3 years and 25k miles, I haven't had to change a thing, not even the windshield wiper rubber! It lives up to the Honda reputation. Ample room and flexible seat arrangements allows you to carry big or long items, saving the cost of buying a truck. Its headroom is larger than most SUV and midsize cars.
A cute little car that almost could
Everything about this car is great with 1 exception - no engine temperature gauge. The warning light will go on only after the engine gets hot! What a lack of foresight for such a great automobile company. Does this mean people who buy this vehicle should not take out of town road trips? Of all the design innovations, why were the folks at Honda that dumb to not include a engine temp. gauge. I live in Phoenix. Ever tried driving up to Flagstaff, AZ with the air conditioner on? It would disappoint me if I have to do a Fred Flintstone number just to travel north due to engine overheating
The Fit is perfect
I went on the waiting list for the Fit before it came out. Finally received it a week ago in Storm Silver metallic and absolutely love it. I think this is one of the better colors for the Fit Sport as it shows off the body work and looks like liquid mercury in direct sunlight. I have never been a big fan of large cars, mainly because of manueverablity and less then ideal use of interior space. This car, although small on the outside, seems as big as a 97-01 CR-V on the inside.
Fit is Great
The Fit has met and exceeded all of my expectations. Just took it for it's first long distance trip. Averaged 39.2 mpg. People at work have been impressed with the amount of interior space and head room. The fit is a perfect fit for my golf clubs. Cargo cover conceals them perfectly. It is a fun car. Tried the paddles and found them a unique experience. Keep up the good work.
Great car
Loving it so far. Amazing room, great build quality at this price point. Does not feel like an "entry-level" car at all. Getting great MPG and is great handling and fun to drive.
Best mpg I've ever seen
I get 40 mpg on the hi-way! If it is cooler in the season and the a/c doesn't need to be on that little car is great. It will drop down to about 37 mpg hi-way with the a/c turned on. I'm planning on driving it up to NE Georiga next month, so the truth will be known on the mpg then, but It's great to fill it up on a meer 10.00 while others are laying out 20-50 dollar per fill up
Great Little Marvel
Guys, I'm very impressed!. I was thinking to buy, stay with it than give it back to get a Civic. Well, after experience it... no more. I will stick with it for good!. Absolute fabulous. Designed for the city but much better composed during trips. It even makes you feel you're going slower than what you're actuallly going!( Here's why: My family and I went to Tucson, after the first hour on the trip I was pushing it a bit (to TEST ;)) going 100MPH at some stints, then I was in shock when my wife asked me "can you go faster than this" thinking I was going 65MPH or so. The exact same perception I had! and why I was pushing it to check .Now that's composure! Try it!
Best Trade Down Ever
I traded my 2004 Honda Accord for this car to cut my payments in half and save even more in gas. Great car and fun to drive in the city. I traded a lot of luxury for this car but it's made up for it in quality, appearence, and overall economy. Buy it you'll love it!!!
Sweet
I have 2.5K on this car. Today I filled it up and was delighted to see that I am getting 46 mpg city/hwy. I think I am still in the break-in period because the last time I only had 30 mpg. Bottom line: Only 30 mpg ain't shabby. The car has impressive pick up for 109 hp.
Best Car I Have Bought In Years
I am so happy with this vehicle. I used to have a Civic and when it got totaled and I walked away from that unscathed, I knew that I would buy yet another Honda. I decided to wait for this new Fit to come out. I love the spaciousness of the new Fit and all of the versatility that the Fit has to offer. I cannot wait to see how it compares to my Civic after having this for 10 years!
Best in its class and then some
This car is everything you can ask for in a small, fuel efficient vehicle. and then it goes a step further. it offered handling and steering feel that is superior to the civic ex coupe and is trounced only by the si in terms of handling prowess. The controls are logically placed, the interior is top notch and a few steps ahead of all the cars in its class, that being that it also the oldest design. Economy is great, i average 33mpg mixed spirited driving, and maintenance has been very cheap. no major issues so far, as is typical in a Honda. Other sub 17k cars make you feel embarrassed or even bad getting into them everyday. You look forward to the drive with the Fit.
The Delightful Honda Fit
An ideal city car. Excellent handling, brakes with adequate acceleration. Plenty of headroom and easy access via the four doors. Lots of interesting features for a low priced car. Adjustable steering wheel, display that shows when service is required and the efficiency of the oil and filter. Nice ergonomics and simple controls. Easy to use cruise control for long trips on Interstates.
Love the car, but not the MPG
Was looking for a car that will be easy on the wallet and high fun and convenience. This car fit's the bill, and overall I am very happy with it. One disappointment is gas mileage, I only get 24MPG in the City instead of the promised 31 and with a 10 gallon tank that means that you have to fill up about every 200 miles.
What is there to say? It's a Honda!
This is a sweet little car that feels, sounds and rides more like a larger one does. The instrument cluster is simple and attractive. All the information you need is easily available. Five-star crash safety ratings, an extraordinary amount of room inside, a surprisingly quiet ride even at freeway speeds, plenty of performance (due in large part to a very smooth 5-speed automatic transmission), great gas mileage - and it is really fun to drive. The Sport model also has an excellent sound system. This is a typical Honda product: good-looking, smooth-riding, well-performing, well-built - a terrific value even at the window sticker price.
perfect for me
The Fit is fantastic. I needed something fuel efficient, and something to transport dogs and bikes. I looked at other hatchbacks, new and used, and this seemed like the most bang for the buck, even brand new. I was in awe at the amount of interior space for such a tiny-looking car. With the back seats folded flat, I can fit 2 bikes, luggage, 2 dogs and 2 people! I can also fit both dogs in the back/hatchback area and 4 people in the car simultaneously. I have friends that borrow the Fit to move furniture (chairs, dressers) - something typically reserved for trucks, but the Fit can handle it!
Excellent car to drive
I love to drive this car. It is so much fun. The pick up is great, gas mileage is great. Just an all around great car to drive. I really love getting in it and going for a ride.
Just Starting
This is an excellent economical car with high quality features. Little engine that can, does the job. Excellent handling and braking characteristics with a firm ride on rough roads. Great head and legroom front and rear. Very good space with flexible interior for carrying wide variety of stuff. Interesting maintenance reminders via the screen which also tells you how well your oil and filter are performing.
Fun
This car is easy to drive and comfortable. The outside appears small, though the inside, trunk included, is spacious. The engine is simple and strong and all seats recline. Good for girls and good for guys. (Look for the blue, it is a nice color, really cool.)
The best car I have ever bought.
I just picked up my new white Fit yesterday after waiting almost 2 months to get. I thought that I was getting a black one, but when the white one came in I totally loved it. It's an exhilarating car to drive and I love its versatility. It's a little slow on the start, but if you have and use the sport model (I have that) you can shift through the gears and you feel with the use of the paddles that your in a raise car. I already cannot wait for an arm rest to come available as an option, because I really miss that from my Jeep and my previous Honda Civic!
"Perfect" Fit
Love the FIT. I have had my FIT for 2 weeks now and it is a Perfect FIT for me and my daughter. Drives like a dream and the room inside is incredible! I have a 30 mile commute each way and it has made getting to and from work FUN. The gas mileage is wonderful! I average 35 mtg. GREAT car for the money!!!
The Orange Scooter
My son purchased this car for me and I love it! I only wish that the hand gears were located in a different position on the steering wheel. This car is very comfortable and roomy. I love yard sales and purchase large gardening items... they fit! I feel very safe in this car. It has so many extras that you would normally pay more for. I just can't seem to say enough about my Honda Fit Sport. I call this car my "Orange Scooter" because I just "scoot" place to place. No hassle getting in or out of tight places, etc. Also, the color is great, does not show the dirt and easy to keep clean. Plus, it is a cheerful color. The sound system is fantastic. It brings joy to my ears. Love my Honda.
SIMPLY THE BEST
I am a domestic car salesman. I drive a Fit! This car is an absolute hoot! Tons of room (I am a 250 lb man), very nimble, very versatile. If I sold them I would be wealthy! Problem being, Honda cannot build enough. I love this thing and plan to keep it a good long time!
Could be better?
Nice kick when starting out. Fun to drive and is rather nifty. But after the initial kick and going up any sort of slope, the engine kicks in pretty loud. I have small inclines when driving to work and I have to rev it up to go up those hills. Mileage is very bad. Only getting 26-27 mpg. Was hoping for above 30. A/C is pretty weak, does not blow "cold"air but rather "cool" air.
Fun car, big enough for the kids!
What a great car! Superb handling and smooth ride. Awesome styling, interior and exterior, lots of room. My two young daughers can sit comfortably in the back with enough room inbetween them for their toys. The best part is, it's a fun, young car...not a boring minivan :) Definitely the best car I have owned (and I've had 2 other Hondas).
Great Car for the Money
I bought this car May 31st and have put approximately 5500 miles on it since I travel all over southern Oklahoma for work. I have been very pleased and have avg. between 36 - 38 mpg on the road and 32 - 35 in town. I drive as much on the freeway with 75 mph speed limit as I do in small towns at 35 and am pleased with performance of both. Not as comfortable as my Odyssey EXL van, but not as costly either and I am not tired after a long day of driving so it is fine. I would buy it again and consider it a great decision for a car.
My little Fit that can
I currently have 23,000 miles on my Fit Base model that I purchased for my wife in September 2007. I have had no issues period with this car. It has made several east coast trips in the last few months. One trip down to FL averaged 42 MPG (with a tail wind)!!! That is just as good as my 1996 Civic CX that has 420,000 miles. The ABS system in this car is awesome, even while trailering to motorcycles. I made my own trailer hitch and have been moving everything I own down to FL, much cheaper than renting a truck. The interior is extremely comfortable, and the ride feels sporty even while lacking the get up and go to match it. All in all a great quality car well worth my cash.
Sporty and fun, with a few glitches
The stiff sport suspension lets you feel every nuance of the road, making this little car seem fast and responsive. It gets in and out of tight spots easily, making parking a breeze. The interior is bigger than it looks from the outside, and the flexible seat arrangements are genius.
A Great Car With A Few Flaws
I love my car. I love the Electric Blue color, the size, the interior space & driving it. It is absolutely amazing how much you can fit inside. It's also roomy & comfortable for all the passengers. The gas mileage is great at 33-40 mpg depending on city/hwy, how close it is to needing an oil change or if the AC is running. A few things have bothered me: the fact that the AC is auto on with the defrost, my dome light burned out at 45000 miles (I've never replaced this in any other car (even over 150K miles), the paint scratches really easily, no front car mats & the tires did wear quickly as others have said. Overall I'm happy with this car, except maybe should've gotten the Sport instead.
Nice little ride
The MT Fit Sport is a nice little ride. It handles superbly, like a sports car. Pick-up is good for a 1.5 litre engine. Build quality is excellent. This is a great little car.
Go-cart reflexes
I have 3500 miles on this car and my only disappointment has been the 29 mpg average fuel economy. The interior is roomy, the seats are comfortable, the ride is excellent for a small car, and you can converse with your passenger at 75 miles/hour. I found an excellent center armrest on the internet for $129 that was very easy to install and matches the interior perfectly.
Great car
Overall a great car. Just wish Honda gave us the option of some of the even more fuel efficient engines available elsewhere. Fun to drive, good driving positions, very good handling and ride. Pretty quiet for such a "small" car. Getting 36 mpg overall so far.
Versatile and fun!
Have about 5000 miles. Great little car. Roomy interior and seats are extremely comfortable. Expensive-looking interiors. Great gas mileage, I get average between 32-39 MPG in city (I don't drive like I stole it). Helped 2 friends moved with this car. They were super impressed with how much room this car have, it's like having a truck almost. Its safety features are +++! For the price, you can't go wrong!
Love it!
We bought it in April, and I've been enjoying it ever since. Was concerned about reviews of low power, but combined with the size, it's not a problem at all. And the cargo capacity is amazing! We catered a friend's party, and carted in food for 30 people in three large coolers with space to spare for other supplies. In addition, my father-in-law is 6'4" and can sit anywhere in the car comfortably. It's very peppy pretty much anywhere in it's range, and I constantly find myself having to slow down as I hit 80-85 mph without a problem. Can't wait for the rumored hybrid model.
FIT for a King/Queen
This new Honda is FIT for a Queen or King. Great gas mileage, plenty of get up and go power and plenty of room. I was amazed at what this car can do. Handles like a midsize car, and gives you mileage per gallon like a motorcycle. Fit is stylish, compact and everyone stops you to ask what kind of car it is and where can they get one. This is a winner.
Greatest small car ever
We had to unexpectedly buy a new car when our Chevy Malibu developed fatal issues. The Fit was on my short list of replacements. I found one certified preowned and jumped on it. It is easily the best, most enjoyable car I've ever owned. The interior room is nothing short of amazing. I'm 6'2", so whether I can fit into a car is a big concern for me. The Fit is a little snug, but not uncomfortable in the least. It literally zips around like a big go-kart; the power from such a small engine was a pleasant surprise. I'm still on my first tank of gas, but so far it appears to be getting around 40 MPG highway.
Still Lovin' my Fit!!
I have owned this car for a little over 3 months now, and it never fails to surprise me! I loved it the moment I test drove it. I have helped several friends move and taken a couple road trips already, and the amount of cargo this car can hold is staggering!! Along with that, it is comfortable for people of all heights and is fun to drive. It is much more zippy than you expect for an engine that size, and accelerating on the highway is done with ease. If you want a reliable, driver-friendly car, you should seriously consider the Fit!!
This Car is FANTASTIC!
I just got my 2007 Fit Sport in Blue and it is the best! I love driving it, I love being seen in it ... best purchase I've ever made! Who knew a Hatchback could be this awesome!
