Used 2004 Honda Element EX Fwd 4dr SUV w/Side Airbags (2.4L 4cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
best little car ever
i have had my element for 8 years i have 173,000 miles on it and have had NO major repairs!!! Only normal wear and tear repairs, tires ,battery, starter and misc. It has been the best little car so handy and practical , i haul alot even my grass clippings and leaves, its a work horse !! I will hope to get 300,000 miles out of it ,im gonna try.
Not the Target Market
We are retired and not in Honda's target market for the Element. I think the vehicle is to practical for the X or Y generation. It's fun to drive, although the short wheel base gives a choppy ride on rough roads. Goes great in snow even without AWD.

The best vehicle I ever owned
The Honda Element is versatile, reliable and fun to drive. The fuel economy is outstanding! I have a little import business, and all my goods from the warehouse can easily be in the Element. The back seats come in and out so easy, it's a breeze! The sound system kicks, and my MP3 player connects via AUX at a click. My Orange Element gets a lot of attention on the street - in fact I daily answer questions from people who are considering buying an Element themselves. My advice is: Buy it! I've had Dodge, Chrysler, Ford and various other Japanese cars. Never agagin. My only hope is that the Element will come in a 6-cylinder version. Then I will be one with the Element!
Love this quirky thang
yes it may look odd, but the functionality blows away all others I considered.
Solid, uninspried alternative to SUVs
The looks aren't for everyone, so be prepared to explain yourself. I think the consensus for why people buy the Element is universal, the combination of value, reliability, and versatility. The ride has no sporty intentions, so slow it down around turns. The 160 hp engine feels great, the Element never feels underpowered. Overall I'm very happy with my Element. Here are some improvements that wouldn't fit below: 5) The gas tank holds 15.9 gallons, but the nanny fuel light comes on after using only 12 gallons. Abiding by the fuel light, you'll be filling up after only 300 miles. 6) The recommended load capacity is something like only 680 lbs.
