Used 2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV (1.5L 4cyl Turbo CVT) Consumer Reviews
13 days from buying new and issues with start up.
I bought a new Honda CR-V ex-l awd on November 14th and so far I have noticed a few issues. When using Siri to make a phone call, there would be a display with a person speaking usually, but sometimes the display will just flicker on and off with the mileage. I tried to take a video, but it wouldn’t work since I’m trying to use Siri and it cancels the Siri command. The second issue is when I turned off my car, I noticed all the lights were off. I heard no beeps when exiting. I tried going back in the car and pressing the brakes and start up button and nothing. The button was black. When I pressed the button it just illuminated white around the ring and was blinking. I tried pressing the overhead light and it would not turn on. I called the dealership and they said it was most likely a dead battery due to the car being on the lot. They gave me roadside service number and I called them. They said 60 minutes. I waiting and called them after 1 hour and 15 minutes and they said it’d take 45 minutes. After waiting 2 hours, I wanted to sit more comfortably and the automatic position for the seats worked. At that point I pressed the brakes and the display showed to press button to start. Voila. It started. I drove to grocery store with my grandpa in the car, but did not turn the car off. I tried opening the trunk with the button at the handle and it would not open. I opened my front door and had to press unlock and then the trunk opened. Once I got home I turned the car off and opened the trunk. When I was about to close the trunk, the trunk button was red and light went out. The car would not start again. Light buttons wouldn’t work and the seat positions wouldn’t work. I had to manually close the trunk. I then opened and closed the front driver door and the display for a Honda went on and the car turned on. I was able to lock the doors and now I’m waiting to go to the dealership. While I was in my car waiting for roadside assistance, I called one of the employees at the dealership who had called and left a message on how I liked my car. I spoke about how it would not start up and why my brand new car (which I bought 13 days ago and had only 5 miles on it) wouldn’t start. I told him the dealership said it’s probably the battery. I asked why my brand new car didn’t have a brand new battery. He said they check the car batteries, but at this time their machine isn’t working. Seriously? They out right sold me a lemon then. I will be coming in to the dealership tomorrow and will see if I need to change my review. I should not be having to jump start my brand new car or have to deal with this while I have a toddler in my car.

Inspect vehicle thoroughly before accepting
Our 2020 CR-V EX-L's hood is significantly misaligned. Gap on the passenger side is 2mm, driver side is 6 mm and hood is canted with the driver side obviously higher than the passenger side. Having to jump through hoops to get resolved. Very disappointed.

No Heat
Don’t buy if you live in colder climates. They lose heat when you stop for any reason. It won’t warm up if you just idle. Then it leaks gas into the oil due to this issue. Honda says that’s just the way they are, just change your oil more frequently than the recommended is there fix. However it should be simple for them to fix it right, the engine is just running to rich. The service writer at the dealership said he fixed his by putting a performance programer on his. But that will void your warranty then showed me pictures of other customers with gas in the oil. Worst vehicle I have ever owned. It might be why they have a lot of them on the lot.

Nice fun vehicle to drive
The only downside is the take off, I don't know if maybe its only my CRV, but when you give it the gas for a quick take off, it doesn't get up and go, kind of hesitant.

CRV 2020 is not reliable any more
This is my 3rd Honda, 2nd CRV. Can't start the car from inside(but can remotely start the car) & only has 32K mileage, towed to dealer shop & investigating last 4 days to find out the issues! Now I am using enterprise rental car(not even offered any rental or courtesy vehicle by the dealer). I will not buy Honda car any more.
