Used 2006 Honda CR-V LX 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Reliability - what we all need and want.
Eighteen years later . . . I get in. It starts. It runs. It stops. Everything works well but the car won't wash itself. Reliable, and it's easy to tow behind the motorhome. Now it's 19 years and still RELIABLE.

Best Value for a Small SUV
I tried the competition, Honda CRV LX is the top dog, drives like a V6. The CRV has it all comfort, great power, great gas mileage city and highway ave 28 to 30 on a trip. Cruise control is the key. My wife finds it easy to drive. Resell value is another thing in its favor. I recommend it highly!

2006 CR-V
Leased the car for my wife in 2006, no brainer decision to buy out the lease at present. The car has been perfect for the wife and small child as a daily driver and well suited for extended family drives/vacations. Sight lines are excellent, functionality is superb with the exception of the hinged back gate - would prefer an overhead rear door. Peppy enough to be fun and strong enough (AWD) for Philadelphia snow. Mileage is disappointing - Accords with the same engine get much better mileage - we've yet to break the 28MPG barrier on the hwy. 6-disc player and sound system is high quality. Reclining rear seats are nice. Overall this is a high value, very functional, simple car.
With a CR-V, forget about the Rav4!
I test drove the Toyota Rav4, Hyundai Tuscon, Saturn Vue, Mitsu Outlander. The CR-V beat them hands down in every way. I should know, I buy new cars every 3-4 years. ROCK SOLID HONDA build. I used to have a DODGE Durango, now I wish I had gotten this years ago. Don't bother looking elsewhere, just get this!
Couldn't be Happier
We purchased new in Feb. 2006. Since, we have driven from Washington, DC, to Fairbanks, Alaska and have driven it around Alaska for almost 2 years. Let's just say that driving conditions in Alaska are less than ideal: it's Winter 8 months of the year, and most roads outside Anchorage and Fairbanks are not paved. Despite the fact that our CR/V has been less than pampered, we have had zero problems. It was also the least expensive in its class, considering that many of its standard features are options on the RAV-4.
