Used 2005 Honda CR-V EX AWD 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5M) Consumer Reviews
CRV horrible parts availability
I have had two issue with parts availability which has kept me from my vehicle for over 1.5 months. An alternator failed after 2,000 miles stranding me in a snow storm. It took over two weeks to get an alternator in. An unfortunate accident caused over one month wait for a headlight assembly and Windshield.
Fun to drive
Honda’s are always the best to drive. This car was awesome to drive. It was a smooth and comfortable ride.

Disappointed Honda Owner
I bought a brand new 2005 Honda CRV EX Auto AWD after I had a Ford Expedition that constantly broke down. Wanted a reliable car, Unfortunately it hasn't been so great with 53,000 it is broken once again. Lived in all climates from humid in Georgia, snow in Maine and dry heat in California. My 93 Oldsmobile runs better, gets better gas mileage, and is more reliable. I had to replace tires, O2 switch, rotors, and now AC has called it quits. I do the oil changes and maint. on time yet it is sluggish, won't do hills and vinyl on the doors has ripped because back seat not wide enough for three car seats. Disgusted and disappointed in Honda. Dealer doesn't even carry the stock tires! That stinks.
very nice car
For what it is I think this is a great car. You sit up high enough that you are not being run over but not in one of these huge gas guzzlers. The motor is not very powerful which is one of the reasons for getting the manual tranny. You can set the cruise for 80mph and it will go all day. Good inventment
I'm disappointed with the CRV's comfort
I guess it all depends on what you want in a car. I've always liked the Honda cars I've had in the past, but I'm thinking of trading in my '05 CRV soon. I absolutely HATE the drivers seat, the most uncomfortable of any car I've ever had by far, I'm not sure why but it gave me a headache/ neckache until I got used to it after a couple months. The interior does not seem "designed" so much as improvised to keep costs down. Do NOT get the MANUAL trans model, very poorly designed inside. The inside has many bizarre trays and odd holes that are mostly to completely useless except for the CD case compartment. The stereo is HORRIBLE for a $20k+ car & hard to upgrade! No fun to drive for me... IMO
