Nice Little Car w/ Bad Tires
I've owned this car for more than a year now. I drive a lot of highway and city mix miles and this car has performed excellent in both city and highway with one exception. The factory Bridgestone tires are absolute pieces of junk and wore out at 17,000 miles. Honda seems to have realized this as the latest Civics I've seen have Goodyear tires on them. Other than the tires, the car accelerates nicely and is fairly comfortable for two average sized people. The fuel mileage ranges in the 33-34 MPG area no matter how I drive, and I don't drive conservatively. The stereo is excellent as long as you don't want to install XM Radio. That will cost you $500 if you can find someone to do it.
Economical commute csr
This year and model Honda has a small economical engine. Makes the commute from Costa Mesa to Corona and back reliable and cost effective. It's a no frills vehicle, and does everthing I need it to do. Low cost of ownership (gas, maintenance, insurance, DMV fees, etc.)

Great Car
I had this car for 10 years and would have kept it for another 10 but it was sadly totaled in an accident. No one was hurt in the accident. I loved this car, it was always reliable, got great gas mileage, was easy to get in and out of. In addition even after ten years it was still stylish. I am sad to have to let it go.

Great Car
This has been a wonderful car for me. Bought the car in 2013 with 85,xxx miles, now at 156,xxx miles in late 2019. Black 4 door, manual 5-spd. AC clutch went out around 100k, replaced the tires, front brake pads (my fault - i drove like a mad man through Deal's Gap, lol), new transmission fluid. Basically, this car has been trouble free except for the AC clutch. Engine still runs great, original clutch. Weather stripping could be replaced. I have taken this car everywhere... Chicago, Florida, Kentucky, Washington, Vancouver, BC. Numerous camping trips, skiing, motorcycle track days (tow trailer) and mountain biking. The car is light and zippy with the manual - people are often surprised how quick it is. It is slow once you load it up though. I'm thinking about getting a new vehicle in the next year (Lexus Gx460), but it's really hard to give up this car because it does everything well. Interior design was way ahead of its time. I still need to do the airbag recall. The engine has been great, no cracked block yet - knock on wood. 30mpg. Quick steering. Easy to park. Blends in (doesn't attract police). Great car. Wish mine had a electric trunk release. Had an accord coupe v6 before - miss the torque a bit. Also have a older trans am - this car is quicker I think.
Reliable car with high maintenance car
Pros: 1) Oil change cost only $40 Max, which makes it cheaper in longer run. 2) High speed vehicle stability, powerful engine. I had race with 2020 Elantra, Jetta, they were having worst pick than 2007 Honda civic. 3) Compatible to drive in city and engine is good for higher mileage too. Cons: 1) Linkage rods, bearings and tie rods are very weak and easily gone that cost approx $1300-$1500 for service. 2) AC clutch plates are jammed very easily in all honda models if not used frequently which demands changing of compressor. Overall if maintained in good hands and drive smoothly like below 120 Km/hr on smooth roads, this car can never die. Good for new drivers and young drivers to modify and drive.

Minimum Maintenance in 135k miles
Very reliable; has not left us at the roadside in 135k miles. Easy to drive with good visibility for 80+ drivers. Starter and AC were only failures for $1500 total.
Not as good as my 1998 Corolla
A lot of maintenance during the years I owned it since 2010 Water pump, front and real axel had to replace engine block at 35k ,thankfully Honda covered repair which I lost car for several weeks The car is a major disappointment because of appearance. The clear coat issue is an issue the Paint is just peeling off the 🚘

Civic EX
The most important part of the vehicle if the mileage. The 38 mph for highway is important. Sedan, air conditioning, all extras. I would want a vehicle with a color which resists dirt and grime.
Great Car
I commute 70 miles a day for work. Average 35+ MPG. I have 65,000 miles on the car and have only had to do breaks once, tires once, and regular oil changes. Much larger interior than Civic's have had in the past. Dash is easy to see while driving. I took a road trip and actually got 47 MPG for 3 tanks in a row.
Happy with it...
Drive a round trip to work of 140 miles. We get 41 mpg with synthetic oil at 70 mph. Not 1 problem, car has 83,000 miles. Fun to drive, enjoy the great mileage and for the price is unbeatable. Tires will make it to 100,000 miles. Bought some comfy seat cushions. Downside is road noise but really not a problem. Makes you smile everyday with the mileage and we take 6-8 hour trips on vacation. We are in our 40's too.
Cheap Piece of Junk
I bought a Brand New Civic LX 2007 4dr. Sedan. It has 57,000 miles on it now. It is made cheaply. The sun visor has fallen apart 2 times, the first time 3 months after I purchased it. The battery goes dead all the time and leaves me stranded , I have had it checked several times and they said nothing is wrong with it. I finely just replaced the battery, car is only 3 years old battery should still be good. It is the worst riding car I have ever had, I have replaced the tires with better tires, that help a little bit. I will never buy a Honda again, I am very disappointed with this car.
My used Honda
I bought the car used but was it was love at first sight. Unfortunately, everyday something new came up that made me love it less. My gas doesn't last me a week. I understand I drive quite a few miles from home to work and school but its ridiculous how in 4 days my gas would disappear completely. Driving it is great, until you notice the gas. It took me a good 3 weeks to finally get comfortable in my seat, even now it still doesn't feel right. Looks great thought!
Pretty pleased except for ....
I am very pleased with this car, except for as many consumers have already posted is the tire wear and the road noise. I do experience some transmission shaking when I am driving from a complete stop. This happens right around 15-22 mph. But if you step on the gas it isn't noticeable. The MPG is great, I drive rather mello to max out my MPG's and I am getting low 30's consistently (30-34). The sun visor seems to break right at the hinge (2x), but over all this car has been good to me.
Excellent buy
As a Lexus, Acura and BMW driver in the past I was concerned about the comfort and roominess this car provides. To my surprise, the car is quiet, roomy and will save me approx. $1000 on gas. The other vehicles in the past required premium. This little unit gets 35 mpg and uses regular. It has plenty of zip and is a smooth ride. I am very very happy with this car and am highly recommending it to my friends.
Love my Civic
We just downsized from a SUV to the Civic EX. We started looking at vehicles about 4 months ago, giving ourselves time to make sure we were making the right decision. Because of the Honda reputation, we started there. We drove almost every car in the Civic category and kept coming back to it. We were mostly focusing on gas mileage, as I drive approximately 75 miles per day, back and forth to work. The Civic is dependable and fun to drive, I love whipping into parking spaces, and hugging corners! We also have 2 children, 9 and 5. They have plenty of leg and hip room, and love riding in our new car! The EX is nicely equipped and still affordable. We are very pleased with our decision!
Nice car, concerned about windshield
This car has been very nice so far. I like the performance, spacious interiors, the fact that it is not expensive to buy and operate, and the 6 airbags. However 3 weeks after I bought it brand new, the very same day that I was to put the license plates in place, I noticed a chip in the windshield, and I feel confused as it is big enough to not be noticed when it happened. I am in a debate between repair or replacement but I'm concerned that a poor quality replacement installation can lead to bigger problems. I honestly think it is too soon to have problems with this car, and I'm starting to believe that the windshield is weak.
