Blue Civic
I love it Fun to drive and is sporty
Love my car
I just love my new Honda. It is quiet and very roomy. The gas mileage is great.40 miles per gallon. A real plus with the price of gas!It has a nice style that looks expensive, but really was reasonable.I`ll enjoy it for many years to come. The salesman was very straightforward and didn`t pressure me.I had done my homework and had a good idea of what I wanted. I`d recommend the Honda Civic to anyone who likes a great car that performs well for a reasonable price.

HONDA
I love my car. I have bad experiences with cars in the past. For the price of a new Honda, you just can not get a better car.
It's OK
I bought this after my husband got his VP(aka cheap cheap package). I have a higher model but it is nothing great. Sunroof is noisy, rattles and squeaky all over. The fuel economy is awesome and for now this car will do but I prefer my Maxima anyday.
New Honda Lover
I love my new Honda. My previous car, which was a convertible was totalled due to tire failure. I needed to get something that would be practical, extremely nice looking and economical. I had the interior upgraded to leather - and my car looks very smart!
brand new 1st time owner
Just got this black little baby, and i might br a little early for a review but if the hype is true about owning a Honda i think i joined the happy Honda club. The car is fun to drive even with auto. nicely detailed inside and out. You must get black if you get the EX with the wheels. illuminated dash is cool! Nice solid ride and handling interior has a quality feel with the controls. Engine is quiet except at acceleration. bit pricey compared to competition but i guess you're paying for Honda quality. wanted to wait for all new 06 but needed a new car asap. This car sips gas like a fine brandy. Forgot how to pump gas. Shifter is the easiest and best designed i ever came across for an auto !!!
Bad choice
The driving of this car is been unreliable, since I purchased this car I'm been having a lot problems, replace the alternator, passenger window regulator, and driver cv joint and still make another noise.
38/mpg in style amd comfort
I traded my 1998 civic lx sedan for this one. Comfort and economy is even more. I spent $45 at the pump and was able to travel 707 miles. That's 37.8 mpg, driving in LA (Glendale-Downey and all around). That's economy with 127 horse power. I was first attracted on the hybrid's 49/48 mpg with 98 horse power. However, I didn't want to sacrifice the 28 horse power a bit extra 8 mpg.
Great Car
Driving position feels like a coupe. Tight build quality. Great fuel economy and quality meterials used throughout. Far superior to my '98 Jetta. While not a performance car, the performance is evrything I expected from a Honda and more. Very comfortable feeling from the brakes and no jack rabbit acceleration. A truely refined compact. I can see why its "Best in Class".
safety first!
We decided to get the Honda Civic EX because of the awesome safety ratings, anti-lock brakes, and the good price that it was selling for. All of the magazines that I have looked at rate this car at the top of its class. Overall I am very happy with this car and would recommend it to anyone.
My New Honda Civic LX
I purchased my Honda Civic from Rick Case Honda in October 2004. As a former owner of a 1996 Saturn SL which was starting to show signs of needing more frequent repairs, my fellow coworkers recommended that I get a Honda Civic instead of a Saturn Ion because a Honda is a more reliable and dependable vehicle. I also checked Consumer Reports and they rated the Honda Civic as one of their top choices as a quality vehicle for about the same price of a Saturn Ion. I also did not particularly care for the interior design of the Ion's instrument panel. The Honda Civic is a very reliable and dependable car for the money and I am very satisfied with my final decision to purchase a Honda.
Good for the Cost, Reliability
I have now owned this car for close to three months and the thing that gets me is the gas mileage. Its got good functionality, nice looks--but the gas mileage is the part that sells it.
A great little car, comfort, economy, de
Again a great little car, good comfort, great economy, very dependable, a tad too low to ground for my pleasure because it gives the feeling of economy and not something to tell your luxury car owners about though I consider mine very luxurous. You might improve on the lines a little and maybe have a better color selection. Quietness of operation is a great plus also, how did you do that, make it so quiet?
I love this car!!
I just got my Honda Civic and i love it! my mother-in-law has the 2 dr version and she loves it she has had it since 2006 and has only had to change the battery on it! plus the gas mileage is amazing!
My 2nd Civic
I love the car. When Honda called doing a survey after I purchased it they asked what influenced me buying my car more than anything else. My answer was my last civic, it is a 1990 model with 331,000 miles on the original drive train and I still use it as my daily driver. The only complaint I have with the new car is that the driver side door pull should of been angled up more toward the window (as is the passenger side pull) as it interferes with side leg room by as much as 3 1/2 inches compared to the older civic and the lack of being able to spread your legs is quite noticeable. In my opinion if it's a Honda you can't go wrong, best car I have ever owned and the only one I considered buying.
5th HONDA CIVIC & NOT THE LAST
I've owned a new Mercedes 190 'Baby Benz', a Chevy Camaro & Citation, a Ford Fiesta, Pinto & Taurus, a Pontiac Fiero. I've leased numerous vehicles including Cadillacs, Lincolns & Buicks. And as an automotive engineer I've tested and driven dozens of vehicles including Porsches & Corvettes. Most are more expensive, more powerful and more glamorous but the Honda Civic is the vehicle I am most comfortable with having my wife and three (now) college children drive. NEVER a defect or failure, best powertrains in the automotive industry, direct handling, ergonomically right with comfortable interior space & trunk and great dealer service. I'm looking forward to seeing the new model this fall.
Love it!
Went out and about last week armed with reviews of every car claiming 30+ MPG. The Civic was the only choice, and I drove 6 different cars-- everrything from the MX-3 to the Scion Xa. Perfect for commuting, comfortable, gas mileage today was 36.1--all highway. Although I bought the value package version, I really feel as if I got more for my money than the other models offered. Added to the legendary Honda reliability, I almost feel like I stole this car. Although the Elantra was a bit cheaper, with more options, it did not feel as solid as this car does.
Great
Great to drive... isn't sporty, but the reliablity and fuel economy makes up for the weak acceleration. I love the front design... the car looks like it is smiling at me everytime I see it. I would recommend this car to anyone who do not like high maintains or costs to run it (20 dollars for a full tanks ~ 400 miles). The driving it very smooth, I like how the wheel is not too tight but tight enough to give the driver a feel for the road. The car is great for teenagers like me, who need to get places without the worry that the car will breakdown. I love the envy I get from people and since the cost is low, I think more people are able to afford this car. The side airbag is an added perk.....
love this civic
Honda was my dream car after our last "American car" purchase, a Ford ranger pick up with a transmission made in France and an international array of car parts, I decided on reliability, fuel economy and ease of handling. And it is fun to drive. Exactly what I got.
Honda is a pretty good car
We have looked at new cars for about a year and I already knew when I looked at a Honda that we would purchase one. I have never bought a Honda car but have five Honda ATV,s and Two Honda Offroad motor cycles that have lasted forever. I was a 25 year Ford and Lincoln customer and there ok but not like Hondas. Ford and Lincoln have better and more dealerships to deal with. They have just forgotten how to build cars over SUVs. I am still worried about being run over by a SUV with someone on a cell phone. 8000 miles and no problems and still tight. If you need a small car, this is the best I think. Now I need a new 7000 lb SUV for 2005 to help support oil companys.
New Honda Civic 2005 EX
I traded my 04 XLT Explorer for better gas mileage in the Honda. Its a great car for 1-2 med. adults & 1-2 small children.Great for running to the store on short trips.Coming from the room of the Explorer it is a "cute" box on wheels.More than 2 adults and 1-2 small children, you are cramped! Not much leg room in the back seat.Large trunk is great, just dont think you can buy all the same stuff you did if you had a larger vehicle, you will be sorry. This car is not for people with back problems..stick to the ones with the lumbar included. It is a compact car, great gas mileage and realiabilty, fun to drive for 1 person, but for comfort and room, NOPE!Keep a nice SUV for comfort and long trips!!
This is no commuter car
Bought this car 11 months ago and finally relieved myself of this car yesterday. The ride can be likened to an amusement park go cart. I commuted 100 miles a day at highway speeds. Highway bumps in the road were bone jarring at best. There were days when I would arrive at work with headaches from this car. As far as workmanship, the cloth on the door was coming off, the car was delivered with a blown speaker and there were numerous rattles. I definitely would not recommend this car to highway commuters. I bought a Camry yesterday.
The one and only
January of 2005, was the first time i had ever bought a honda. The honda civic not only has the reliability and the great gas mileage, but also has the styling bold looks. The only way that i would trade my civic in is by trading to another civic with a sunroof and other features and equipments. Civics are great...
Honda's are the best!
The new special edition sedan is a big step above the previous models. The sound system is incredible and the addition of two extra speakers (six in total) along with a leather wrapped steering wheel gives the sedan the feel of a much more expensive automobile. My entire family has owned nothing but Hondas since 1989 and we've never been disappointed.
Superior car!
The 2005 Honda Civic Sedan is is car that is economical because it has excellent gas mileage and can last well over 200,000 miles. My car looks like a sports car with the new design and red color, but at a fraction of the price. It rides very smooth, is comfortable and spacious. The VP has many great new features including a CD player, AC, and automatic. It has great reaction time and drives well.
Great little car
The Honda Civic LX 4dr Sedan seems to be the perfect car for my small family or young adult on the move. My fuel mileage is 39.5 mph which is a little higher than the 38 mpg on the sticker and Honda's reputation for quality and reliability speaks for itself
Another Great Honda!
I'm a life-long Honda owner. I had stints with Plymouth, Subaru, and Jeep but always go back to Honda. This little car is the perfect example why. Although not as flashy (Mazda 3), Luxurious (Toyota Corolla), or fast (Dodge Neon) as other brands, this car offers a complete package and does it VERY well. No other model can touch the the design and ergonomics of Honda. Only Honda and Toyota offer top notch quality, safety, reliablity and resale value. If your priorities are reliability, fuel economy, quality construction, and roomy interior, this is the car for you! If you want a car that is fun to drive but drops in value like a concrete balloon go with almost any domestic sedan.
thanks to rex
we were not impressed at first with the automatic transmission civic. it had no pep when trying to get on the highway. The service advisor told us to try one with manual. We are glad he did as we now have one thanks to him.
Great Car!!
Hey, awesome gas mileage, low insurance rates and Honda's excellent reputation. I couldn't go wrong. It's speedy enough, handles corners well (especially when compared to my old Xterra) and is just fun to drive. Comfortable all the way.
Good Car
Has been a good car, good ride and handling. Good paint, fit and finish.
My Ideal Car
Hondas are a "family tradition". Over the last 20 years we have owned a dozen Hondas--Accords, Civics and Preludes, most purchased new. Why? Because Hondas are the most reliable vehicles with superior features, style, safety ratings and great mileage, too. My children grew up knowing the quality of the vehicles and chose to purchase their own after finishing school I currently own the 2005 EX 4-door Special Edition and this will quite likely be THE car for me. It is comfortable to drive, has a bit of a sporty look and a very superior sound system. As a "Baby Boomer" getting close to retirement, it is important to have a car that is reliable. And there is no choice better than a Honda.
Civic
This car is reliable and fun! It doesnt take up a lot of gas either so it's cheap when considering many other cars.
2004 CIVIC HYBRID
I've thoroughly enjoyed my Hybrid. Going from a minivan to a subcompact, I thought the transition would be difficult, but the trade off has been worth it. The paint seems to be extremely delicate, nicking if you even look at it! I am not getting the mileage I was led to believe I'd be getting; however, as I do a LOT of highway driving, I'm getting anywhere from 40-44 mpg, which compared to my minivan is excellent. I fill up twice a month whether I need to or not. Overall, I'm very glad I went Hybrid. Even if I'm not getting the mileage I think I should be getting (50+), I have on occasion hit 50 (rarely) but I still feel as if I'm doing something positive for the environment! Win-Win
An amazing car at an amazing price!
I owned a Ford Escort before buying my Civic Value Package in July of 2005. The car was brand new when I purchased it and I knew right away this was the car for me. I love the solid feel and the generous performance I get from this car. I usually get just under 300 miles per fill-up in town and about 350 if all the driving in interstate. I would HIGHLY recommend this vehicle to anyone looking to buy a reliable and cost effecient vehicle.
Not bad for the money
This is my second Honda Civic, they're great for the money. The car is overall okay, gas mileage is like a hybrid (well almost). I have been extremely disappointed with the dealer, but I hear a lot of dealers are like that. There's no sunshade at the top of the windshield, very annoying on a sunny day. The car is also difficult to start on an extremely cold morning, I think it should be much easier to start for a new car. The heat is inadequate at the floor so if you live in a cold climate and own this car expect cold feet. Stereo is lame; but again it's an inexpensive car.
I love civics!
This car is great! They get great performance out of 115 horses. Gas mileage is great. Lots of legroom even with a car seat in the back. I'll drive this car until it dies. The only thing it needs is power windows and locks with keyless entry.
Civic is great for long commutes
I drive 500 miles per week toundtrip to and from work. The Civic is the perfect car for long commutes, with it's excellent gas mileage (I get 39 mpg highway), and second to none reliability.
Best Small Car In Texas
I really enjoy the comfortable ride, and sporty appearance added with the rear spoiler. And last but not least, the gas mileage city & Highway are wonderful.
Honda Civic LX
Great car! It may only have 115 horses but it is still very peppy. The seats are comfortable but are on the stiffer side. Gets great gas mileage.
ok
this is a boring car the interior has no trim just a little silver on the vents. i like the gauges i dont like the transmission shifting. i6ts ver choppy and seems like it underevs. i dont like the whining noise that the engine makes
Somewhat disappointing
Purchased new 05 Civic LX. Exterior is fine, looks good, drives good, the tranny is smooth, (a little slow) but smooth. Good braking, solid little car. Decent room for a small car, interior layout, nice, good seats. But, the interior pops like a bowl of Rice Krispies and it's very, VERY annoying. Test drove Corolla, did same thing on test drive and I didn't purchase because of the popping. (Civic didn't do this on test drive) Had 02 Camry did same thing. Looks like Japan is going the way of GM with the rattling interior. Why can't auto makers make vehicles that don't snap, crackle & pop when you drive? Honda gets a "D" for the interior build of this Civic. Thank goodness for a good stereo!
My Mother's Car
My Mother has had her car about 2 weeks now and we have noticed on this car, her first civic but the 13th Honda in the family, that their is no light in the ignition and we miss that-A LOT!! Also, you cannot lock or unlock the car from the passenger side. To us that is another negative point esp. for a 76 year old lady. She wishes that their was more storage space up front. The car drives as well as her previous Accords so she is happy with that. My daughter will end up with this car in about seven years and their is no doubt in my mind it will ride and run as good as it does now.
Honda Civic's keep on going and going
We had a !985 Honda Civic Wagon that once we took it off the dealership lot it never had to go back it was so dependable. No recalls or warranty issues to deal with. I can't say that about Ford or GM prodicuts unfortunately
great
Comfortable fast quiet roomy, The craftmanship is great. Not a hotrod but can handle great and has enough spunk to be fun. 40mpg, lowest mileage 38
my first "foreign" car
I love my Civic! The car has superior handling andI have the least expensive model they make with manual windows, 5 spd transmission. You don't have to buy the top of the line to get that great Honda engineering. I expect to have this car for 300K+ miles.
What Took Me So Long To Buy a Honda???
Had a Cavalier because I wanted to support one of America's 'Big Three' automakers. Turned out to be a major disappointment. Never again! Just purchased a new Honda Civic, a car I've long admired. I can't believe the difference...it's like night & day. It runs great, is a hoot to drive and I feel like a million bucks each time in hop in. Fit & finish are excellent; my old Chevy couldn't hold a candle to this cream puff. Gas mileage is a big plus, and the car overall just feels much more expensive than it actually is. Considered the Corolla but found the exterior to be bland. Honestly, you can't go wrong with the Civic. I'm just sorry it took me SO LONG to realize it! Sorry, Chevy.
Honda Civic Lx 2005
I bought the civic 05 LX in Dec 04. Felt so good driving it until I got into accident. I was driving my civic on 81S PA 7am got into accident, ran on black ice lost control completely flipped over twice, felt down and hit the mountain. Weather condition seem fair while driving, just started snowing. The civic was totalled by all passengers were fine with seat belts on. I was injured by the broken glasses because I was wearing t-shirt. The airbags came out but didn't feel it during the accident. CD player still working after the accident. Second accident with my sister's civic (SAME MODEL), lost control on snowy part of the road, I was able to control but totally freak out driving civic now.
Great Car
The car is a lower-end car that feels like a higher-end car. I feel like the interior is stylish and comfortable. The performance isn't the best, but it is adequate, and I didn't buy the car for performance. The ride is comfortable and quiet. The gauges are bright and everything is easily accessable. The car has plenty of leg room and head room (which is unusual for a Civic) and the seats are firm, offering plenty of support. The clutch is great and the car shifts smoothly. I was a former Honda hater who has now changed my ways. I will be buying Honda from now on.
Good car fair price
I bought this car because I was in need of a car that was good on gas mileage. I travel a average of 4,000 miles per month. This car does not requiring oil changes every 3,000 miles, but it requires them every 7,000, so I save a lot of money on basic upkeep. Most of the miles I drive are on the highway. I average around 43 mpg on highway. I would probably get more if I kept my foot out of the pedal. If you are looking for a mid priced vehicle that you want to get your money out of. this is it. Low cost on fuel and low cost on upkeep.
My new 05 Civic is GREAT
Qhat they did this year by adding in the ABS brakes and alloy wheels is perfect, they kept the comfort and style the same just moderized it, and it's perfect... smooth ride, good pick up and go... right along with some of the best gas mileage avaliable on the market
