Great Car
After 12000 miles almost everything is awesome. Great style of the redesign, comfort, handling, acceleration, and reliability. My only complaint are the two rattles. One at 1700 rpms in the front dash and one in the backseat area on older roads that aren’t smooth. This happens about 30% of the time. Very minor compared to all the other cars in its class or some in a higher class. Something anyone can live with because there is not a car out there that has some sort of issue. I’d rather it be a minor rattle than anything mechanical. Thumbs up to Honda!

Comfortable, well designed, sure-handling, roomy
First, the fuel economy, while good, is not as good as the EPA rating, which is 33 MPG overall for the standard 1.5 Liter Turbo engine. True I get 33-34 MPG overall with a light foot, and with a lot of use of the optional, disappointingly torque-less, "economy" mode which prevents the engine from downshifting. But my wife the driving enthusiast gets about 28 MPG in mixed driving in standard operating mode. Still decent, but hardly into modern Hybrid MPG territory. So the EPA ratings lie. But otherwise, this car has not disappointed in any way in 2,200 driving miles so far; and I think the rave reviews from both Edmunds and Car and Driver are 95% warranted. I say that because the car has excellent predictable steering and handling (much better handling than most in its class), is quite comfortable for its class, and has a lot of luxury touches in common with far more expensive cars; I have owned four 5 series pretty-loaded BMW's, for comparison. And I love the excellent engineering of the commonly used dashboard controls. All automatic climate temperatures for both driver and passenger side can be adjusted quickly by degree with a simple and responsive KNOB! That is so great compared to the difficult menu options required to adjust the temperature controls on most contemporary cars. Ditto for the basic entertainment/radio controls. Simple knobs for volume and tuning. Yet it has all of the Apple Play, etc, advanced features, updated technology you could reasonably ask for in a car that costs less than $30K with leather seats and a sunroof. Also, the advanced automated AI safety features seem to work well. Especially the lane guidance feature, which gives gentle nudges to help keep the car in your lane automatically, and the excellent adaptable cruise controls. Those are practical safety guardians on longer drives, or when you are tired.. Now, because of the good but not great fuel economy, I might go for the Hybrid version if I chose again; but that is due in part to my green orientation, not because of cost reasons. But otherwise, we are most satisfied with this comfortable, roomy, and seemingly very safe car, with very good, though not really sports sedan-caliber sure steering and handling, so far. 4 1/2 stars overall.

beauty or beast
Honda has returned back to some of its basics from the early 80's where alot of innovation occurred. Compared the 2.0T Sport to a TLX and I came back to the Accord. The layout of the interior was very similar but materials are better in the TLX, it came down to overall value and newer tech and normally aspirated high compression vs turbo w/regular gas. Both cars are not sports cars but have safe spirited ability for the average drivers. I have owned an Integra I4 & V6 accords and while the V6 has more immediate response the 2.0T is very surprisingly pulling away when you least expect the low end power. The turbo 4 has a feel of lightness to it vs the v6 accord while making turns and its 10 speed transmission finds the right gear exiting a turn, something you'd have to time a pedal stab downshift with the V6. I'm not a fan of the push button transmission as you have to wait for the engagement...think having a shift lever is quicker to switch from P,R,D. The electronics behind the transmission make it far too gimmicky that you even have to setup Neutral for going thru a car wash...simplification needed. I have yet to try paddle shifting so i can't say how quick shifts happen. I have experienced minor shifting shudder with low speed upshift (2nd to 3rd?) but once you accelerate more briskly the upshifts seem silky smooth with the higher revs. A very similar feel with a manual shift trans with a low speed quick clutch let out. I have disliked touch screens in general to hunt for the right component and the new touch screen is alot better in this regard and better than the dual screen setup in our 16'Odyssey. The screen is up high where it should be so one does not take their eyes away too long off the road to even switch radio stations. Anyone who says you can memorize exact screen touch points is not really being truthful or being safe doing it while driving. I have not tried the Apple/Android play but do use the Bluetooth for music playback since I did not get CD player. The knobs have a cheap feel but happy there is a volume/tuning knob to find it w/a glance using it by feel being up high, little need to take eye off the road or hunt/read on the wheel for the small volume button. I have yet to try out all the features but have managed without hunting thru the manual. Handling and front view is as good as prior Honda's but gone is that disappearing hoodline to view all the road. The front seats height are a tad low and should be allowed to adjust higher as i noticed passenger seat seemed like it was in a hole since there is no height adjustment for passenger to get a better view over the dash. Seat seems a tad softer but nothing to complain about yet. I have longer legs than torso so need to push seat back and extend the telescoping steering wheel. The rear window is not as wide open as prior accords with the fastback styling but that's the sacrifice for this sporty styling which necessitates a need for a backup camera. Overall I think this is a right step to garner a more livelier styling and spirited drivetrain...I like this change even if its a family sedan...much needed in this car segment. I may keep it after the lease ends since that right pedal brings smiles.

AC Condenser not working ALREADY after 3 years!!
Honda brand supposed to have a better quality but am surprised with condenser getting bad. They extended the warranty of Honda Civics due to many condensers failure but why will Accord not included? I heard from the dealer that they have replaced a few for the 2018 accord. It costs a lot to have it replaced.
Couldn't be happier!
Our current 2018 Accord Sport is our 3rd Honda, and second Accord. Nearly 50,000 miles and absolutely perfect! Consistently better than 39 mpg is pretty good in today's world. Excellent car in all areas of comfort, handling and operation.

Almost an Acura
Great car for the cost. Has a number of features which would be expected in an Acura level vehicle. Did note some cost savings in the rear seat area (lack of soft touch plastic trim & door lighting). Audio system is marginal at best.

This is an awesome car. With the 2.0T is is faster than a BMW 330. It has so many safety features it is incredible!! FAST & SAFE Was what i wanted. I traded in my red corvette which was great but I had it 20 ys--so the thrill was gone and was not my daily driver. The Touring 2.0T is now my daily driver :)

Don't waste your money on a Honda Accord!
After owning a 1996 Accord EX-L 5-speed manual from 12/95 - 2/3/18 that gave me little trouble, I was told it wasn't worth fixing. I purchased the new 2018 Accord Sport 2.0 6-speed manual after only one test drive. Stupid me to expect Honda to still make a quality car that would last and I would enjoy driving for the next 20 years. I WANT TO SELL THIS CAR ASAP! First of all, no local dealerships had the 2.0 sport with 6 speed manual in gray. It was 12/31/17 and everyone was too busy selling to "find and order" a car for me. The only dealership that said it could was Larry Miller in Spokane and I lived near Seattle! We negotiated for a long time. The only thing we didn't negotiate was timing! It took them over a month to get the car! When they got the car, the salesman and sales manager had ordered the wrong color! Problem #2, 3, 4 +. I decided to take the small discount they offered. They cheated me and put in the wrong mats for the back seat and trunk and the car was disgustingly dirty! The road noise is so bad that if anyone is in the back seat, we can't speak unless we are almost yelling. I can't hear the radio so I keep turning up the volume which is bad for my hearing! I agree with others that I can hear others on the hands free, but I have to have my dial set at 40 and sometimes they still can't hear me! The seals on my doors are so bad that water and dirt leaks into the painted area on the body of the car when the door is open. Those bad seals let cold air into the car which makes my legs and feet cold. The heat has gone out somehow so that the down arrow setting doesn't work so all I have is cold air from the seals and some warm, but not hot (I have the setting on high heat 99% of the time, but it doesn't work) air blowing at my body or the front windshield drying out my contacts! I think sometime in October it really got bad and after finally taking it in yesterday, they tell me Honda of Kirkland, WA "Can't replicate any of my problems! Somehow the heating system inside the car is hurting the defrost of the front windshield and even though I keep them very clean, I have to alternate turning on the button for defrost only in the front or the a/c on and off every 2-3 minutes as the windshield fogs up! However, with colder weather another new problem is happening! If my car is frosted over in the driveway and I start it and turn on the defrost for the front and back windows, 10 minutes or more later when I come out, the front IS defrosted, but the back windshield has barely started to defrost and I only have a little tiny spot in the middle of the back window that is starting to defrost, the rest of the window is striped and stays that way for another 10 minutes at least! I paid extra for the 2.0 only because I wanted the moon roof. The stated mileage was 22-32. My average to date is 24.5 and I have to work to get that number by putting the car in neutral on any down areas of hills in town and a lot of times on the freeway! I almost always have my screen on trip and mileage to see where I am so I can decide to put the car in neutral to go slower on my road coasting into my driveway! My touch-screen in late October-early November went black for 2.5 weeks + and I had no idea what my mileage was until yesterday. When it came back on, I had no total mileage anywhere! That was one of my complaints and so the Honda Service guy pressed the "trip" button to the left of the steering wheel, but it didn't put the number back on the touch-screen! "We couldn't replicate your problems today!" The car drove somewhat smoothly until sometime in June and then it started running "rough" and the steering wheel shakes all the time! Normal, I'm told?! The front hood of my car shakes up near the windshield on the freeway which my old Honda didn't!! When I took the car in for the first oil change, I noticed that the front hood where it opens up was out of alignment from the factory! It was fixed some, but it is still not a straight line with a consistent reveal!! I pressure wash both Accords. Turns out the front edge of the hood area is plastic unlike the 96 and I have 2 quarter sized paint areas that suddenly came off! My back up camera went black - per the recall and I hit the curb on the back right rim. No help with that either today. The sport 2.0 seats are not fully leather. There was no scotch guard on the seats at all and last summer swimming and coming home from the pool sitting on towels, we have stains all over the front seats. Has anyone ever tried to wash the inside back window? The hard plastic rakes your knuckles and really hurts! I feel like the front driver seat is low and I have to kind of push myself up and over being 5'2" to get in and out and it feels like the left side of the sport shape of the seat is already breaking down! I'm down to two days of the warranty and nothing has been fixed. I will NEVER buy a Honda vehicle again. BUYER BEWARE!!

Watch Out For Pricing Issues
Leased my car a few weeks before a Presidents' day promotion. Turns out I could have had the car for about 40% less per month if I only waited a few weeks. The dealer claims they know nothing of future promotions until a day or two before. I call total BS. They need time to plan for having the right inventory etc. I suspect that's more than a day or two. I think Honda should make right for those but for the span of a few weeks didn't get this deal. But they won't. They would rather have customers do their best to trash their promotional practices and lose hundreds of sales. Great car though.

$40K...Just too much!
Absolutely beautiful car. Extreme power & torque, heads up display good, but could be more interactive. Bluetooth needs to sync with Google Assistant for text messaging, driving directions (non navi models). Wireless phone charger great idea! The model I wanted was $40K out the door. I ended up buying a 2015 w/V6 3.5L, 31K miles for half the cost.

Ride
I traided in my 2015 exl accord for the 2018 exl strictly on the difference in ride..The 2015 rode like a truck ever since I bought it new..It had had great roadability.but a terrible ride,,I was going to keep the 15 for many years just like my 02 accord..The moment that I test drove the 18, I was sold. Not only a great ride but roadability too....The great gas millage was a bonus
High Quality Driving Experience
Outstanding car in many ways. I chose this car based on its reputation for reliability and the many safety features which are standard. I have not been disappointed. In fact some of the safety features and navigation system have exceeded my expectations. The steering responsiveness and driving comfort are excellent. Driving an Accord is very comparable to driving a much more expensive car.

Honda Accord EXL 2018
I like my 2018 Honda Accord EXL. It feels good, looks nice and its good on gas. I do have a question though if anyone can help.... is the engine supposed to sound like its purring like a cat? I dont know how else to describe it... its not loud but its noticeable
Not you fathers accord
This is the sportiest Accord ever--even my grandson says it looks great especially with the 19" black rims and low profile tires. Have owned Accords for 30 rears and the 2018 is off to a great start.

Accord LX test ride
The car was nice however, I was not overly excited about it. The one thing that I did not like was that I asked the salesperson if it received text messages and changed it to voice, he could not find where it would, said you have to go up to EX version which is several thousand dollars more. I can receive and send voice generated text messages with my 2014 Corolla, I could not do that with this unless the salesperson does not know how to do it. The acceleration of the car is not any faster then the previous version, I liked the dash better on the previous version with the screen inset more shading it from the sun, it also created a shelf there. The nice thing was the adaptive cruise control, I followed a car at 30+- MPH it kept changing and even stopped when the vehicle ahead stopped.

Almost 20k miles
This is my second Accord and 4th Honda. Pros of this car: The Apple/Android car play are easy to use, the steering wheel controls are smartly placed and easy to command, and the digital display options on dash can be switch to many different options. The gas mileage has been 26.9 around town and 32 combined, it is easy to drive and the air conditioning gets cold fairly quickly in 90+ weather. The wheels and tires provide smooth and stable ride and look nice and there is a lot of interior room in front and back seat. Going from the Accord V6 to the 2018 1.5L turbo has not been an issue. This car has plenty of power and sport mode makes it fun to drive. Brake hold is a nice feature to have while driving in city traffic. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and the purchase price. The cons: The seat materials seem decent. In the beginning I felt they were cheap but now see they are durable. I am 5’6” and have never felt I sat too low in a Honda but feel I sit low in the car which makes visibility more difficult. You step slightly up and out of the car rather than just straight across like the 2006 Accord. Older Hondas are much more easy to drive and you felt more in control of the car since visibility was so easy. This new Accord has the feel that reminds me of a Ford or Chevy where the hood is visible from driver seat, which is new to Hondas. Unfortunately, due to being able to see the hood the car feels wider, which was one of the new features. The brake and gas pedal are also farther apart than the old Hondas. I do not like the placement and often find myself pressing on the bottom quarter of the gas pedal. I am still having to adjust to the new look and drivability of the new Honda style. Overall, enjoy the car and have no regrets in buying. Great car for the price. Updates: Love the Lane keep assist and auto cruise control on long trips. It slows and accelerates on its own and keeps a safe distance from car in front of you. If you turn on cruise control it will drive for you in stop and go traffic up to 25 mph. I am use to the larger feel of the car. Still have no regrets with this purchase and am pleased with the performance and drivability.

Great Car!
I feel in love with this car after I test drove it. I was leaning heavily toward a small SUV i.e. CRV, CX-5 or Rav-4. Then I test drove this car and knew immediately that I was not like the rest of America when it came to falling for the suv over a sedan. This car has everything plus storage and better fuel economy.

Saved The Best For Last!
This is the self-declared final car of my lifetime. I have always wanted a red car, I had one once, but it was a 1999 Honda Civic Imprenza Red. Loved that car for many years, when I decided to purchase another, went with Honda again and another Honda Civic. Now, decided to purchase for Christmas my final vehicle and decided to also upgrade to a Honda Accord. A 2018 Honda Accord, Radiant Red. I already love "Lexi." She rides like a 10th Generation Honda Accord. Enjoy the way she handles on the road, love the safety features. She is definitely an upgrade. So definitely, this is one of those best Christmases yet to come. Definitely, saved the best vehicle purchase, perfect red color, and features which can't be matched for my final vehicle!

Nice car, one thing missing
This is a nice car and I like everything about it except....it does not have keyless entry. It does have push button start however. If a car has a push button start it should have keyless entry. I could have spent more and gotten the EX which has keyless entry but they only had a black or white one which I did not want. I did not discover fgat it did not have keyless entry until the deal was done. My 2008 Nissan Altima had keyless entry and push button start which I owned for 11 years. Dislike digging for my key fob to open the door. Cars should be keyless entry and push button start or you use a key.

A BMW ride for a lot less!
I am more than pleased with my decision to purchase the 2018 Honda Accord Touring 1.5L 4 Cylinder. The ride is fantastic, with comfortable seats, tight turns, great acceleration and fuel economy. I cannot think of a better choice for a sedan. The small deficiencies are road noise, getting in and out is not easy for older folks as it sits low, and the navigation function can be frustrating at times. But other than those things, I am really happy with this car.

Honda Hot Rod
Not inexpensive but a great driver's car. The 2.4 liter 4 cylinder with turbo and 10 speed transmission takes off like a rabbit! Also passing is effortless. Very comfortable and a great improvement in the Accord styling. Had a 2013 Honda Accord with only 45,000 miles on it but went to see the Honda CR-V to replace my Ford F-150 ( I loved it but no longer needed it for my projects). When I saw the new Accord I bought both the Accord and the CR-V. Drove to Florida with CR-V and averaged 32 MPG. Took a little adjustment on my part to get used to the safety features especially the lane keeper feature that steers you back in your lane if you drift a little. Actually steers around curves that have solid white lines. I am still (2/28/2020) just as enamored with this Accord and its performance. I am 81 years old and am still thrilled by the power in this 4 cyl engine and just love the 10 speed transmission. Highway millage 36MPG if I keep it under 70 MPH.

Just not appealing to look at
Let's be completely transparent, The 2018 Honda Accord is a VERY unappealing vehicle and this is reflected in vehicle sales, I have previously owned several other Accords iterations and loved them, the 3.5 liter V-6 was and is the best V6 on the market and the styling of the 2017 Accord touring was outstanding, When I still see the 2017 Accord touring, I wish that I would have traded sooner and purchase one, So what happened to the 2018? Honda lost it's styling mojo, did you used up all your styling brain-cells on the 2017? the front of the 2018 is hideous and looks unfinished, and from the side, it gives the appearance of an older model Chevrolet Malibu, Sure the turbo engines give greater torque at the lower engine speeds, this gives you a little quicker from stand-still acceleration, but why not give the customers an option to purchase the V6? Walmart grew to one of the largest companies in the world by listening to it's customers, prior to the supercenters, Walmart gave out surveys and asked their customers, How can we make your buying experience more enjoyable? Customers replied, A place to shop 24/7, Get my car repaired, while I purchase groceries and getting my nails done, and Walmart delivered, and became one of the most powerful global companies in the world, To be honest, I can't see the great features for staring at the appearance of the car, since this is my review, Honda, the redesigned Accord get a failing grade, appearance isn't everything but close and the sales numbers speak for themselves

Too Pretty
You know, its kinda counter- intuitive, but the accord was too pretty, and that is why I didn't buy it. As someone looking for an accord, I wanted a modest car to get me from point A to point B, with good gas mileage, good interior room, and a fair bit of sport sedan fun along the way. But the new accords, while they look great in photos... I just could not bring myself to sign the papework, because the car was too good looking. If I were going to the club every night, sure, but I was using it to go to work, and haul the kids to school. It just wasn't right. I went with a crossover instead. Even though, I preferred the accord, it just was too much flash. I think, the black paint on the 19" wheels was a step too far. Probably would have bought if it had 18" standard silver alloys.

Great Car So Far!
Just about everything is very well thought out. Only issues are trunk and hood fit (will see if they can be adjusted during first service). Also some very inexpensive things such as auto-dimming rear view could have been added. Not sure why they cut corners like this when everything else is outstanding. And mileage claims are way off although this is true of most cars.

EX-L 2.0T Excellent so far
The 10 speed automatic is fantastic. I was considering the manual, but the 10 speed with paddle shifters is awesome. 8 Months in, no mechanical issues. Car rides great and is fun to drive. Update: 2+ years into the car and the 10 speed Auto is still fun to drive. I sometimes miss driving a manual but overall very happy with the auto. The only service has been tires (due to potholes in California), a cracked driver window (no idea how that happened) and normal service. Over 28,000 miles and everything still works great. Love the car. Usually, after 1-2 years I'm looking for a replacement. This one's a keeper... 2 & 1/2 years in and still love the car. Regular oil changes and no other service issues (except for windshield replacement). When I drive like a normal person, it gets great mileage.
