An Amazing Car!!!!

I waved goodbye to my 2001 Accord (original owner with 205K miles) and bought my beautiful 2018 Accord. The comfort, fuel economy, safety features and tech are amazing. The drive is comfort but it's not a Lexus or even a Toyota but more firm, you are lower to the ground which I love. Power is great even with the 1.5T and the ACC is working perfectly, I completed a 600 mile trip and thanks for the ACC, it was such a nice relaxing experience. Combined MPG was 37 for a brand new car with less than 1000 miles.

Get a printout with pricing and don’t spend anymore than you have to. Love the looks and the sleek body style. Don’t buy all those warranties they try to sell you. The car is new.

I have owned many Honda vehicles. This one i traded my 17 V6 coupe in for due to grand kids in and out the back seat. What I like about this car is my first week of 500 miles of driving is the power it has, gas mileage, new technology, handling and comfort. Its a very nice car that i choose over the lexus GS 350 for many reasons. I will write a review when i get 10k miles on it to let everyone know how it's been. Stay Tuned! Update 12-14-19 12K Miles I bought this Accord 4dr sedan to replace my 2017 Accord coupe V6. Roomy, Powerful, Stylish, gas mpg 28-35. This is my 4th Accord and by far the best one yet. The interior is elegant and the technology is impressive. No issues with little over 12k miles for the year and it really hauls the bacon to be a family car. So far its been a typical Honda reliable!

Last year in December I was in a bad accident with my 2018 Honda Accord lx. It totalled my car. To give some details we didn't flip, a guy turned and front of me and I tboned him. I'm not sure how it happened, bit instead of spinning out of control... I did a 180 In the road ended up in the same lane as when I crashed into the other car. I was just bruised from the air bag. Same as my passenger. The window didn't shatter. I haven't been in a major accident like that. But I bent the frame of his car.... I went and bought another Accord just the sport model this time. Every one asks me why, I had a chance to get a different car. But why would I change when I know for a fact this car will save my life again?

Unconscionable the quality of this mass production 4 door sedan. I owned Acura Legend, BMW 328, 4 GS Lexus ( GS 300/94', 400/98', 350/06', 430/2008 ). Pound for Pound, the new Honda 2018 Sport 1.5T is a STEAL. Plenty of handling, 80 MPH @ 2300, plenty of acceleration. 32.1 MPG on regular fuel. 19' inch Good Years, technology and my IPhone X compatible beyond. Stone cold winner, no wonder GM scrambling.

Entry level Luxury Car

This car won North American Car of the Year and I can definitely see why. It's hands down the most bang for buck you can get in a car in 2018. Granted it is a new car but everything on the car is smooth the ride, the driving features, and the technology system. The Honda Sensing Package alone is worth the price, we took an 8 hour family trip and with the lane keep assistance and automated cruise control I really felt the car drove itself. I can't say enough good things about this purchase. No buyers remorse here!

My 2.0 with the manual is fun to drive and gets 27 city, 36 highway. It’s also safer because shifting the 6 speed manual keeps the me engaged, important for an 83 year old. Paying attention to driving is mandatory with a manual.

AC DEFECT...MOLD!

Hello, I purchased the 2018 Black Honda Accord Sport on Jan, 5th 2018. I dove it off the lot with only 2 miles. The car is beautiful and I get a lot of compliments on it. I noticed around May of 2018 I started to smell an odor, I ask my husband if he could smell it and he said "no. I went to Yankee candle and purchased some air vent air freshener, thinking it would get rid on the smell. My husband never drives the car it's primarily me and my 5 year old daughter that is in the car on a daily basis. After months of driving the car on a daily basis, I guess my nose gets use to the smell because I can no longer smell the odor that I use to smell. Months later my husband took the car to have it cleaned up and he noticed the under the passenger seat on the back seat floor was wet. He ask if our daughter had spilled anything and I told him no , because I don't let her eat in the car. Days has went by and the floor mats are still wet. I pick up a friend from work and I ask her, "What does it smell like in this car? She replied " Uh like mold or mildew. I then said "Ok I know I wasn't crazy, I having been smelling something for the last 3 months. The next day I took it back to Crest Honda dealer ship where I purchased the vehicle. They check and said that the carpet was wet so water is leaking from some where. Once the techs check it out, I was told that the AC hose was pointing up and not down so the water from the AC was draining into the car under the passenger side!. So it was likely a manufacturer error. WOW... what a health hazard for my daughter and I. I was told that they would pull up the carpet and replace it and treat the car for Mold! I am so mad that I don't even know what to do. Has anyone else had this problem?

POW!!! ??? From an embarrassing 92 cubic inches?

Don Blanton, 01/02/2018
2018 Honda Accord Touring 4dr Sedan (1.5L 4cyl Turbo CVT)
5 of 8 people found this review helpful

I'm glad they converted to metrics for engine size. While a 1.5 L turbo sounds small, 92 cubic inches sounds like the skinny kid on muscle beach. I'm old school. Proper engines were 427, 428, or 429 CID. Even the classic small blocks were 327, 350, or 351 CID. But that little Honda 4 cylinder puts out more HP than a 1975 Corvette (admittedly destroyed by the pollution-control wizards of the era). I was a bit hesitant about the CVT - ignorance is not always bliss, but is correctable. When I learned the concept was first described by Leonardo da Vinci (yep, that one), I had to read further. Now, I absolutely love the glass-smooth acceleration. Must be what a Tesla feels like, without worrying about battery life. (It is 12 degrees F at this writing). The most astonishing feature is the elegance of the dash. Very simple and uncluttered, but everything is there. The buttons are hidden in plain sight on the outer margins of the screen, and there are knobs for volume control and tuning. I didn't think they were necessary until I used them. This is the finest car I have owned (after 3 BMWs - still have one . . . and a classic Avanti). I bought the Accord for my wife because of all its safety features - everything but drive-while-sleeping. She hasn't driven it yet. I'll give it to her someday and go back to by Beemer.

Get the 2.0 turbo exl but stay away from the 1.5

2018 Honda Accord Sport 4dr Sedan (1.5L 4cyl Turbo CVT)

Updated 8/24/18 review- (I've now traded the 1.5 2018 accord turbo as of 8/14/18 for a new 2018 2.0 exl Honda accord) After just 816 miles I just traded the Honda accord 2018 1.5 liter sport for a 2018 Honda accord for a 2018 2.0 turbo accord exl (non sport model). First let me start off by saying the driving experience is 1000% more pleasant & enjoyable in the 2.0 turbo. The reason being the 2.0 exl comes standard with a normal transmission which by the way is a 10 speed auto transmission. The prior model that I had was a 1.5 sport 2018 model which had a cvt which made me wont to drive the car off a cliff because of the loud continuous whining from the cvt. I wouldn't recommend the loud 1.5 turbo for anyone unless you're a person that drives slow and likes to hear a car that sounds like it has a broken transmission. I must admit that the 1.5 liter sport was more appealing with the big black 19 inch rims from the exterior, however the ride quality and the loudness of the interior noise especially at highway speeds was totally unacceptable to me. The Good news is the new 2018 2.0 exl WITHOUT the sport packet has a very luxurious ride, and is quiet as a luxury vehicle. I literally barely feel any bumps AT ALL! Also the exl 2.0 comes standard with the power moon roof, and the keyless hands free door locks and unlock. The old 2018 1.5 sport required me to pull out the keyless remote to unlock or lock the doors or truck which became very annoying especially considering the fact that the 1.5 sport model had a push button start. Now back to the new model 2.0 exl the best thing other than the beautiful interior, comfortable leather seats, and power moon roof would be the VERY strong and powerful yet fuel efficient 2.0 turbo. I've had several people who have rode in both the old 2018 1.5 turbo and now the 2.0 and each person seems to comment that it literally feels like they're in an entirely different car. Everyone seems to notice just how hard the 2.0 pulls especially from a stop light, and how quiet and smooth the 2.0 is compared to the old 1.5 accord. One of the craziest things that the gas mileage for me is actually better in the 2.0 than in the 1.5, maybe it has something to do with the car not having to strain so hard . So if you are planning on buying an accord test drive the 1.5 then test drive the 2.0 and I can guarantee you will not mind spending the extra money to get the 2.0 exl. STAY AWAY from all of the sport models unless you would like a rough ride, excessive highway noise, and enjoy frequent tire replacements. The standard 17 inch Michelin exl wheels are cheaper to replace, will have more grip, and will last longer, and will be noticeably smoother and quieter. So after putting 468 miles on the new 2.0 version accord I'm now totally satisfied and changing my review rating to a 5 star. ============================================= 7/16/18 old review of 2018 1.5 liter turbo( this car has now been traded thankfully) The 2018 Honda accord sport comes with lots of standard technology. I came from a 2016 Volkswagen Passat which has 184 ft lbs. torque . The Honda on paper has more power and torque compared to the Volkswagen 1.8 liter Passat. The Honda has 192 ft-lbs of both torque and horsepower, however it feels extremely sluggish compared to the turbo Passat. In fact you cannot even feel that there is a standard turbo on this car. The cvt is loud when you step hard on the accelerator, and it totally robs the power from the accord. Also there is an abundance of head room for tall six footers like myself. The car seat very low to the ground so older people may find it difficult to get in and out of the vehicle. My biggest complaint with this car would just how loud the Goodyear tires are on the highway. I’ve owned several vehicles , from Nissan, Toyota, ford, and i can say this is the most loudest sounding vehicle that I’ve ever owned. Honda needs to add sound deadening materials to its interiors to help cut down on the sound. The next biggest complaint is the fuel economy. This car is only averaging around 21 miles per gallon in mixed driving on the 2018 sport model. I also own a 2016 kia cadenza which has a very strong reliable v6 and gets better fuel economy then this 4 cylinder turbo Honda. The only way a person is going to get good mileage is to drive long distances on the highway or drive like a 100 year old senior citizen on the road. The exterior is very sporty and sleek. My model came with the black sports wheels and I constantly get compliments daily on how nice the black on black accord looks. Since purchasing the vehicle I’ve changed out the factory radio since the Honda sport doesn’t come with HD radio which means you are going to get a ton of static on some radio stations. Also I changed out the speaks which just sucked . Before you buy this car drive it on the freeway to determine if you can bear the loud tires, cvt noise.

Low clearance killed a sale

Terry Hess, 10/17/2018

The Honda Accord, always a reliable vehicle, has impressive new features for 208. However, it's irritating that one cannot just get & pay for the add-ons one wants without also getting features one doesn't want (e.g. to get leather seats, you have to get a moonroof.). I was also disappointed that Honda - like most other cars - offers mostly tired old exterior colors: black. dark blue, dark gray, dark red (all of which LOOK black). At least you also offer red and Champagne Frost. But what really killed my desire to buy an Accord this year was its low ground clearance. Despite its awesome new features, no one wants a car that's hard to get in and out of!

Great car but a few issues

I bought the 2018 Touring 1.5 Liter. The buzzing sound at highway speeds happened on mine as well. The dealership replaced the driver side mirror and this so far has seemed to have fixed the issue. Now I am having trouble with the compass. While using the Navi I was able to show it on the instrument panel as well as on the HUD. For some reason now the Navi only shows on the big 8 Inch screen. The car will be going back to the dealership to have this fixed. I know it suppose to do it as I used on a trip from NY to NJ and back with the directions on the HUD and on the dash while using the big screen on the music as we play with that often. The other thing I wish I had the option for was to have the 17 inch tires on the touring instead of the 19's. The ride is much harder on the 19's then the 17's. Touring I was told only comes with the 19's. 19's look incredible but I would rather have the softer ride. Also very surprised there is no USB ports for the back seat passengers. Also the remote start does not work at all or barely from a distance of 100 feet or more. I have had plenty of cars much older that had better distance.

I bought the car in April 2018. The car locked it’s self with my key fob inside. I was stranded. The door sensors to unlock the car work sometimes. If I use the key fob it will unlock all doors but the drivers door. After taking it to Honda and starting the lemon law claim with it the engineer for Honda to me the problems was because I have designer handbags, a gun in my purse and a cell phone tower on my property which all those things can cancels out the key fobs. I have never heard anything so crazy in my life. The Apple car play and Bluetooth will not work when calling out. Don’t waste your time on this car!1111

Front seats?

I want to be honest, I did not test drive this car, I merely sat in 2.0 Touring in showroom. I found the drivers seat to be very uncomfortable, jabbing into my upper, outer thighs on both sides. My first thought was, yikes, I feel bad for larger/overweight folks. I am 5'8" and 170 with bird legs, so I am not large at all. I did not rate anything else that I didn't have to, just front seat comfort and overall. I like all the features, not sure about a turbo 4 lag, but was willing to test drive is seat was comfortable enough. I currently own a 2003 Accord EX V6 and loved it, never gave me any unexpected troubles (hit a deer, but what can you do). Does anyone else find the front seats uncomfortable? I mean just as soon as you sit in it, not after a 1 hour drive.

What can I say about the Accord touring 2.0? This is hands down the best car ive ever owned! My last car was an Infiniti G35, and this car blows it out of the water. It compares with a Lexus as far as the interior is designed and put together. Very elegant and classy. The new distinctive shape of the exterior is beautiful! Rides awesome, looks awesome, if Honda built a luxury sedan, this should be it! I'm so happy with this car!

When you see this car. Its eyecatching. Its fantastic looking. Its sexy. Its overall a good car. If it had a different badge, I would say, it might be one of the best cars out there. But after having this for months. Im swearing I will NEVER buy another honda. This is my FIRST and LAST honda. Ive heard SO much about how great honda was. I call BS. Those people must have NEVER driven or been to a Audi, BMW, KIA, or Hyundai dealership. Those companies, tend to care. Honda, Does not. Once this car has a sold sticker in the window. They literally stop caring. Its all smoke and mirrors. And honda may have won in the style and development dept. But there customer care, there backing of there product, literally sucks. The first defect, was a defect missed by about how every many people that are between the factory and the dealership. There was a huge blob on the door, that had been painted over, clear coated, and everything at the factory. And not one person realized it. I know i didnt until that night when I went home to wash and clean it. Now, we all know, one should NEVER BUY A CAR WHEN ITS RAINING. I did. Bad mistake. The defect on the door was not caught. A dent, that looked like someone leaned on the back panel, was present. Then the other issues, a recall for the camera, a cubby door that wont open, and a windshield, that had NO ROCK CHIP, suddenly, overnight, CRACKED. The dealership said NO, we arent fixing that. Then after raising hell, they went to honda of america, the rep said no. Now, Im on the second rep to get the windshield replaced. A windshield for this model, cost over $1300. Why, because of the technology. Ive owned BMW, AUDI, HYUNDAI, KIA, and HONDA is the worst. Simply the worst. They will not do anything, unless you raise hell. They want you to give up. Walk away. And never complain. Its all about profits. And not happy customers. I would say, stay away from this car, and stay away from honda.

Negatives outweigh the positives

Built for the 10-12 yr old passenger. Beyond that age you'll notice the annoyances of getting in-out, seat discomfort (can't even adjust passenger seat height), extreme jolts from ALL bumps with rear seat passengers suffering the most, and difficult rear window vision. Don't rely on the camera entirely. You WILL hit things. If you want this car, don't lease. Your resale/turn-in value decreases by 25% instantly and will take in inordinate amount of time to recover or break even. Won't happen during the 36 month frame. If you buy it, you will be hard pressed to get a positive equity return. Also, good luck trying to get accustomed to the brakes. The 20" tires come with the most sensitive brakes I've ever seen. No such thing as a smooth stop any more. On the positive side, navigation and acceleration are above expectations. Any of the other positives can be had on most other brands. Summary: reread my title for this review.

I like this car. It is comfortable, rides well and has lots of room. As a long-time Honda owner, I am very impressed with how quiet the car is. With over 2 years under my belt, I am more than satisfied with this Honda. It looks good, it rides well, it performs just as I would want.

Safest, sportiest, most technologically advanced car I’ve ever owned at an extremely fair price. Prior cars were a 2007 Infiniti G35x, which was also an incredible car, and a 2005 Acura RL. Apple CarPlay is awesome...my Apple Watch vibrates when it’s time to take a turn. I commute home from north of Boston to southern NH in some of the worst traffic in the world; and yet driving this car makes it so much it almost fun. I love watching the technology in action. I put the adaptive cruise control on (which also includes the low-speed crawl feature - awesome) along with the Lane Keep Assist and the car basically drives itself home with me virtually never touching the gas or brake pedals until it’s my turn to take an exit, and even then the car can exit and come to a complete stop all on it’s own (assuming there is a car in front of me doing the same thing of course). Watching the morons who spent way too much on lux brands white-knuckle it home in the fast lane while hammering throttle and brake almost simultaneously as if it makes a material difference on their commute time has never been more enjoyable. I love owning such a fine piece of engineering that speaks volumes on the value and quality front, and still leaves plenty of room to fund the kids’ 529’s and max the 401ks. Home run on this one Honda. For this price I just might buy two of them...

So far I am pleased with my car, I have only had it for a month. I have had a couple of Honda's in the past and chose to go with another Honda due to my last car was very reliable and I loved. I hope this one is just as good as my last one.

A basically good car, but the road noise detracts, and the sound system is mediocre. The Sport does not have the higher grade Honda technology; the gear selector design is not intuitive. very fast car and torque steer can make it tricky.

My wonderful Accord was totaled! I couldn't say enough good things about the handling, supple ride and performance on this EX-L. I really can't imagine a luxury car giving one much more in comfort. My only complaint is that Honda has eliminated some of the tech on our 2016 EX-L in order to keep costs of all that safety equipment from taking the car up over the $30K mark. The simplified dash is just adequate. What happened to the always present compass? What happened to that great right side camera? The blind spot warning on the left was a needed addition and those TWO video screens were a joke (needless redundancy) but Honda needs to start updating ALL lighting to LED, not just on the Touring model. The low beam LEDs are great, but WHY old-tech, yellow halogens for the high beams??? Makes no sense except Honda needed something to justify the $2,000 difference in trim levels. Cheap marketing tricks. Same with the exhaust ports. A turbo engine with two INVISIBLE downward exhausts???? C'mon, Honda, catch up with the rest of the pack with these features. But all-in-all, a wonderful car for the money. I traded a 2016 Civic Touring for this Accord and couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, I was T-boned by a driver running a red light. The car was totaled, but I was hit on the driver's side and walked away with a mild concussion. What could say more about safety ratings??? I bought a 2019 Accord Touring with the 2.0 turbo. I love this Honda even more but mpg is sacrificed for more power.

I have always looked for a manual transmission when looking for a new car. I was surprised to see the Accord sedan sport 6 speed manual and was intrigued. After checking the price and limited availability I almost backed out of new in favor of used. I was trading a 2013 LX-S manual and the 2018 was the only option to move in to a newer model. Prior to the 2013 I had a 2009 civic manual with great pickup but small interior. I traded up to the 2013 Accord for more room but found that it had less zip than the Civic due to the increased weight. The same was true with the 2018 as the size increased the 1.5 lt engine is a little sluggish during acceleration. My wife also noticed this on her first outing. I guess the higher price for the 2.0 lt engine is warranted in this case. I am happy with the trade off between price and performance and the car is still fun to drive with plenty of interior room.

The car has great acceleration with 2.0T engine, impressive interior design and some pretty smart features. It is a pleasure to drive! However, the car is two inches wider then my old Camry and getting into and out of the garage became challenging. Also, the transmission can shift with significant kicks at lower speeds. I was worried that a lower sitting position could be a problem for my back, but after a year of getting in and out of the car it is not a problem. Some features are great, like cross traffic detection and blind spot monitoring, some need more refinement: I have seen 60 miles per hour speed recommendations by the car system in my work garage and flashing “brake” without any obstacle in front

The 2.0 turbo is a wonderful upgrade to the 1.5. Transmission could be more refined the shift from 2nd to 3rd should be smoother. Interior and trunk space are great and the ventilated front seats cool of quickly even in Arizona. After 3 years of ownership and 35,000 miles I still love this car. Fun to drive and very quick and athletic. The car only has 2 negatives. A periodic rattle on the rear decklid and the suspension feels a little chrashy over speed humps if you go over 15 miles an hour. For the price you get unbeatable performance, passenger space, Trunk space and amenities.

Brash decisions made in the heat of the moment, always come back to bite you and boy did I learn this tbe hard way. Back in mid April 2018, I was at the Honda dealer getting an oil change for my 2014 Accord Touring v6. I made the mistake of venturing onto the sales lot to check out some of the redesigned Accords. Next thing you know fast talking salesmen shows up, one thing leads to another and a day later I am driving off the lot with a brand new 2018 Accord Sport 2.0. At first, I loved the car, it performed beautifully but then problems started to arise. The infotainment system started getting glitches. The front seat had to be replaced due a creaking noise. There was noise coming from the airbag, so they needed to fix that. And one of the most annoying, that hopefully is finally fixed was the drivers side installation within the door which kept coming apart, which in turn let moisture in. All of these were annoying but the one that takes the cake is, 6 months in the car started sounding like a lear jet with a loud winding noise coming from the front. Long story short, this became a nightmare because the original Honda dealer I bought it from, where I dropped off to get fixed, tried to tell me that Honda Engineer took it for a test ride and could not hear anything despite the fact that the car was as loud as an MD 80 jetliner taking off and despite one of their own Honda techs saying he heard it loud and clear. 3 weeks later they gave me the car back and told me to document the conditions of when it makes the noise, again despite it being constant and despite the fact that everyone within earshot can hear it. I decided to take it to another dealer and also get Honda corporate involved and they all confirmed that the transmission had a faulty bearing so they needed to replace the transmission, which they did, on a brand new car. Fast forward to now, where the car has 40k miles and now there are periodic skips coming from the trans. This coupled with a tire noise which to me sounds like either a bearing or defective tire. Now mind you, I just spent $1100 on new tires and the dealer is telling me they hear the noise but have no idea what it is and thst it should go away. I have put over 5k on the car and the noise is still there along with the slips in the trans and my fat car payment per month. If I could go back, I would have kept my 14 v6 Touring Accord, which had no problems and just felt like a better made car all around. Like the Boeing 737, I think cut corners which have lead to significant issues. My advice would be to look at the v6 Camry, which is across board, a better made car.

The Honda Accord rides and shifts smoothly with the 1.5L CVT combination. Despite the smaller engine, the power/acceleration seems equal to my 2013 2.4L CVT Accord. However, now the CVT seems to take a long time to shift. The CVT stays in "first" gear until 40-45 mph with only moderate pressure on the accelerator from a stop. The transmission reminds me of my parents' old 2-speed GM car because the Honda only appears to "shift" once, at times. The center console still seems overly wide and intrudes on your right leg space. This finding is especially noticeable during a prolonged trip. During everyday driving, however, this has not been a problem. Still wish the passenger front seat had a height adjustment (like the Camry), as the rider sits uncomfortably low to the point my wife does not like to ride in the car. In contrast, the driver's seat is very comfortable with numerous adjustments. The trip computer stated my average gas mileage was, roughly, 34 mpg combined, which is above the 33 mpg advertised. However, when I calculated the mpg the old-fashioned way by math following a fill-up, it was about 2 mpg less. There was some type of electronic glitch between Apple products and the Accord infotainment system when I first purchased the car. My old IPOD Nano didn't work at all in the car, necessitating the purchase of a new IPOD Touch to enable me to listen to my recorded music. Initially, Android Auto also was difficult to set up. No further infotainment problems have occurred. The car developed a buzzing sound, on the driver's side of the dashboard, which only occurred when the weather was cold. The technician eventually found the noise coming from the knee air bag panel under the steering wheel. Insulation was placed in the panel which eliminated the noise but only for one week. I had to pay for the repair. Other squeaks and rattles in the interior are audible, as well. A slight static-like buzzing sound turned out to be a fan mode motor, which was replaced under warranty. Had to replace the rotors and pads on all four wheels at 33000 miles. Quite a disappointment because I never replaced the brakes on my last two cars, an Accord and a Camry, each with over 75000 miles, despite similar driving. I believe the lug nuts on my 2018 Accord had been over-torqued by one Honda dealer and caused the rotors to warp. Another problem arose when all the warning lights were activated, accompanied by dash messages. Turned out the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. Covered under warranty but odd that this type of problem would occur at only 43k miles. Especially because I always added fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank at every oil change. Needed a new battery after only 3 1/2 years. The batteries on other cars I've owned always lasted 5 years. Two tie rod ends have needed to be replaced, as well. In 12/22, I tried to have the driver's knee bag buzzing fixed again but the technician could not reproduce the noise despite my reference back to my previous complaint on the issue. If I could have spoken with the technician directly or driven the car with him, I could have demonstrated the noise which occurs at 1700-1800 rpm, especially when turning left. The buzzing noise is still present at 73k. Ready to trade-in the vehicle for a new Camry, as the 2024 Accord does not have Sirius radio and the front passenger seat still has no height adjustment. Feels like you're riding in a bathtub in the passenger seat. Despite all the above issues, I decided to purchase a new 2024 Accord over the 2025 Camry as the driver's seat just fits me better than the new Camry's driver's seat. Having owned 5 Accords since 1986, I am hoping the issues I experienced with the 2018 Accord were just a fluke. So, this entry will be my last on the 2018 Accord. I owned the car for 82K miles.

This vehicle is only good to look at and has some build quality issues. The engine is very loud when accelerating and the exhaust is louder than normal. Road noise is very present and the suspension sucks on every trim level, it's like the struts are worm even with 17 inch tires. The hard ride is not just present in the 19 inch wheel trims levels and is not due to tires, it's a cheap suspension problem that is horrible. No new car should ride so hard that the owner regrets driving it and regrets the purchase. The stereo is the worst I have ever encountered in my 42 years of living and has poorer sound quality than cheap desk top pc speakers. The trans jerks on every acceleration especially when you accelerate after a stop or slow down. The seats are horrible and I can't hardly reach the steering wheel. If you put you arm on any arm rest you can't reach the steering wheel at all. The dealers know nothing about this car. The collision mitigation slams on brakes for shadows. Enough is enough back to Ford.

2018 Accord EX-L and Touring 1.5 CVT - Test Drive.

I was a little disappointed in the 2018 Accords. . I own a 2015 Accord EX-L and anticipated on upgrading to a 2018 upper trim model. I test drove both the Touring and EX-L. In short I found the EX-L to handle better and less noisier. I am a light footed driver and turbo lag was felt in both trims: And, a little less in the EX-L. Yes the new Accords are quicker but the turbo lag was a no no for me. Also, the initial takeoff sound of the turbo engine/ CVT was louder than I expected. Other observations. . In ECO mode the A/C did not work in either trim. In normal mode the A/C was not as cold as my 2015 model. Also, not including the Heads Up Display in a EX-L Navi is a big mistake especially charging $1000 extra for navigation. Sorry to say the 10th Gen Accord did not win me over. I am a Honda fan and I will keep my 2015 until something better comes along. . .

A number of owners have complained about an issue were the hands free calling feature is terrible. You can hear the person you called perfectly BUT they can barely hear you over the loud static noise. It does not seem to change when you try different phones. It was 1st reported by the 2018 CRV owners. Unfortunately for us, we did not test that before buy ours. No fix insight...

I really love my New 2018 Accord EX. I'm not sure what some others are talking about with aversion to leasing but my car will be worth at least 57% of it's original value in 3 years. Many cars depreciate in half in 2 years. In any case, leases are designed to break even at the end of three years,so being in a positive equity position is unlikely on most cars and I'm happy to be guaranteed a purchase price at the end that allows me to decide if the car is a good deal to keep at that point based on current market values. My car is smooth and quiet. There are no 20" tires on any Accord but the 17" tires on my EX offer a great ride and handling experience. Braking is outstanding and my Accord stops between 7-12 ft faster from 70 mph down to 0 mph than any other car in it's class and while all the safety features work wonderfully, I'm grateful to be able to just miss the accident all together with quicker stops! I encourage anyone reading these reviews to take a test drive and evaluate for yourself.

Honda will learn from the pains of Coca-Cola some years past when they changes the formula to the original coke that was a disaster, As you see today, Coca- Cola was smart enough to go back to the old formula and have enjoyed years of success, Don't give the consumers what you want them to have ( no options, V6 or 4 cylinder) Give the consumers, especially those with the resources to buy your product whom has made you successful year over year, Everyone doesn't want an hyped-up 4 cylinder (Turbo), I read the article on WSJ, No the Honda Accord isn't over priced, it's UGLY with no engine choices, that's why Toyota is enjoying your lost customers, they listened and gave the consumers what they want

I did not purchase this car, as I am not pleased with the low ride. It is very hard to get in and out of the car. Does it need all those fancy keys, dashboard, and cameras. I love my old Honda, EXL It is higher and doesn't have all those fancy things on the dashboard.

Be prepared to fall in love! I have owned previous accords and they were just point a to b transportation. This one is a luxury sedan without the price tag. Like my 55 K 530i BMW I owned for 12 years. Great car, but now I can own two just like it. I may have to buy another, because my wife takes it all the time!
