Used 2004 Honda Accord Coupe Consumer Reviews
Mostly Accolades for the Accord Coupe
Overall this is a fabulous car. I am very pleased with it and would lease one again. Visibility is an issue with this vehicle. The frame to the left and right of the front windshield is rather wide & it impairs visibility especially when converging upon 4-way stops with cars approaching to left or right at the same speed. They can totally be hidden from view as can pedestrians. Over the shoulder visibility is also somewhat limited and extra time is needed to double- check blind spots.
Clunker Coupe
I have the 2003 model essentially the same. Transmission leaks twice. Tensioner pulley went out. Motor Mounts installed incorrectly. Windows being scratched by something in door. Trunk liner sagging. Rattling in back. Key is hot when you pull it out. Automatic tranny slugish after 40mph. Springs are too soft. Get some eibach sport kit springs. Steering wheel fading and armrest. Noisy idle when air conditioner on. Air conditioner recycles a lot. Paint kind of cheap. Ding city so try not to park by people. Aero line asking for dings. Don't get the Paint protector rip off! You can hear wind noise from windshield. Brakes shake a little.

The New Ultimate Driving Machine
I am a 16 year old driver, and I have to say that everywhere I go my Accord Coupe turns heads. Honda did a great job of re-designing it. The outside is aggresive looking and sporty, as is the inside with the brushed aluminum. The driving experience is great, and the ride is smooth. Before buying this, I looked at BMW's, the Toyota's, and Nissan's. I am completly happy with my purchase, and have not had one single problem. The 4 cyclinder engine is peppy, and when I need to go I can go. Anyone debating about this car should deffinatly purchase it.
Electrical Lemon
I have a little over 120,000 miles on my car. I bought it new and since 2006 I have had 4 electrical problems. It all started w/ a recall on the radio whose screen is currently fading in/out; I'm certain its on the verge of going black. The entire middle console is no longer illuminated making it difficult at night to navigate controls. The price alone to do just a diagnostic test is $150! The actuator on the passenger window was replaced TWICE under warranty (problem disengaged power windows). The lock on the driver door malfunctioned-covered by warranty. The most recent problem-trunk lock became inoperable-actuator replaced for the grand total (incl. labor) $263. Honda has disappointed me!
